Weekend to Remember
My husband and I truly enjoyed our recent visit to Driftwood Ranch. The owners, Anne and Steve and their team created a warm and welcoming experience that will always remain in our hearts and minds. The accommodations were spectacular and there were so many well-planned and elegant touches. Our welcome by the hostess was warm and friendly and it was great treat to have a beautifully prepared charcuterie board and fine red wine. We arrived late on Friday and so it was such a surprise to go on the deck in the morning and see a heard of long-horned steer looking at us curiously. Not a typical Saturday morning scene! From that point on, the weekend was magical as we engaged with some of the nicest, warmest and most interesting individuals- the hosts and their friends. The hosts are truly visionary and to see how they have created and authentic western ranch experience with sophisticated accommodations and amenities is impressive. The property is breathtaking, and we enjoyed 2 days of ranch activities, beautiful fall walks, horseback riding and tasty meals. We most enjoyed our time with Steve and Ann and their friends-all whom have such interesting backgrounds and share a passion and joy for the 'ranch life' and horses and are so earnest in their intentions to share a special experience with their guests. We left with a deep admiration for the vision of Driftwood ranch that has been built and a fondness and friendship for all. we look forward to a return visit soon.
