It’s a really cute place to share as a couple. Perfect amount of space, easy parking, and all things you would deem necessary for a short trip like a full kitchen, bathroom, and ac.

Perfect for short stays

Gorgeous views of the San Gabriel mountains. Easy access to shopping. Nicely equipped kitchen, though a dining table and chairs would make it even more useful.

Pros:There’s a spacious parking lot on the property where you can park your car. The lot is shared by three units, but each unit is a standalone unit, so you don’t share any walls with the other units. Cons:The unit itself is in poor condition. It’s extremely dusty and dirty. Upon checking in, the bathroom was filthy. The tiles and grout were moldy and black. Most of the time, there are worms that emerge from the cracks in the shower area.The bathroom door was cracked and required some effort to close.There was also a huge layer of dust under the bed.The stove oven wasn’t working because of an error code preventing it from being used. The gas rang top worked, so you could cook. This was reported to the host, but they didn’t take any action to fix it.All the faucets were loose.The main door lock battery died, so I replaced it. Luckily it died while I was in the house. The host thanked me but didn’t reimburse me.Contacting the host with any issues was inconsistent. Sometimes they responded quickly, and other times it could be days or even no response at all.During my stay, I caught a mouse and mentioned it to the host. I’m not sure if there will be more, but I haven’t received any response from the host.In summary I would not stay here again.

First, I rarely, if ever, leave a negative review. As such I will convey my experience here. Communication: After booking, we received a generic welcome greeting. I later asked a more specific question asking about outlets for plugging in my hybrid car, if available. That was left unanswered. After several days, I reached out again to inform of my arrival plans and if there were any specific instructions. He replied, "I'll update tomorrow." The following day came, and we received the check-in instructions but again without answering my initial question. Check-In: This part was the easiest part of the whole stay. It was very easy to get in. Instructions were clear. The Living Space: Unfortunately, the property was quite unpleasant. Literally every wall had some sort of mark or scuff, a knob on the stove was missing, the kitchen faucet was totally loose with the air trap being only an appendage, there were no towel racks in the bathroom leaving us to hang out towels in the kitchen, there was mold in the shower, and we noticed smoke detectors and Carbon monoxide detectors but were present. My partner and I questioned the cleanliness if the remaining space and didnt feel comfortable sitting on the couch. The bed sheets were clean, but thats a bare minimum. Contacting VRBO and the Host: We reached out refund on cleaning fees provided the feedback as above. However we were left radio-silent. No solution was offered by the host. I can't recommend this place.

Honest Review – Worth It, But Needs Better Upkeep

As an LA native, I’ll keep it this place is a steal for the price. The PRIVACY, VIEWS and QUIET neighborhood alone are worth more than what you pay. Plus, the local restaurants are solid, and you can get to the city in under 30 minutes without traffic.That said, the biggest drawback is the upkeep. I’d gladly pay an extra 50–100 per night if a proper cleaning service kept the place looking like the photos. The decor has potential, but details like dust on the bathroom ceiling vents, an uncomfortable bed, and a small, awkward couch make the stay underwhelming. My family even kept their socks on because the floors didn’t feel clean.To be fair, the host is very responsive, and communication was seamless. But this place is missing out on its full potential. Realistically, as the listing states… it’s best suited for two people, and anything beyond a three-day stay might start to feel a bit off.Would I book again? For a short trip, absolutely. But if the cleaning situation doesn’t improve, longer stays could be a tough sell.So much potential!!!
