Nuestro acogedor, dos dormitorios casa cerrada con entrada privada está situado en una de las zonas situadas más al sur de San Francisco, con fácil acceso al transporte y autopistas. Este, un alojamiento único uno-de-uno-tipo se encuentra a dos cuadras de BART y un cuarto de manzana de MUNI. Fue remodelado recientemente para ofrecer a nuestros huéspedes con todas las comodidades de un hogar lejos del hogar.
Este es un gran punto de partida para la exploración en la hermosa San Francisco. Beautiful Cottage!

I just spent a week in San Francisco on a family vacation and had the pleasure to meet Kristine. She is very prompt on returning emails/calls etc., and easy to work with. The property's looks just as listed and was recently beautifully remodeled. It's very clean and comfortable with all the essentials needed for your vacation. It's just outside the main attractions of SF and the crowds, but only a short drive in. The area does not look like one I would normally stay at while on vacation, but we had no problems and it turned out to be very quiet. You are on higher ground and a short distance below is a highway. At night you will hear the traffic, but this wasn't bothersome at all for us. Parking is an issue in SF, but this cottage does provide a space behind a locked gate if you decide to rent a car. The only downside to this for some is that there is no yard if you are one who likes to sit out. All in all the price was is a deal for a beautiful cottage in a great city!

Rugby 7's Getaway

Property worked well for 3 adults travelling together. Quick walk to the BART and easy commute to the downtown area and AT&T stadium. Clean and tidy, looked just like the photos.

A Great Stay

We stayed with my daughter while visiting my son. The location is excellent - close to transit (Bart, Muni) and to the highway, with a secure, dedicated place to park on the property. The property is great - 2 large bedrooms, comfy beds, a fully equipped kitchen. Theatres, malls, and groceries were a short drive (or Uber) away. Move in instructions were easy. There was also a welcome guide with info about the house, restaurant and tourist suggestions, and a collection of tour books. Kristine emailed the first day to make sure things were going well. Overall a great stay!

Great place to stay

Kristine's cottage was a terrific place to stay for our family of two adults and two small kids. She was very responsive through the whole process and even provided us with a car seat, toys, books and crayons for the kids. The kitchen was well stocked, including kids tableware, but could also use some kids cups. The snacks were a nice welcome too :) The cottage is exactly as pictured. As others have mentioned, you can hear the hum of the highway, but it is constant so you get used to it. The location of the cottage is convenient for those not driving as the Muni stops right out in front, and the Bart is not too far to walk. However, there is also a parking spot if you need one which is handy. It's gated in, so we felt pretty safe during our stay. Her gardens are so nice, and you are welcomed with a beautiful smell when you step outside even though the highway is below. The only thing I would suggest for improvement, would be for a more thorough cleaning before the stay but overall the cottage was tidy. We would definitely stay here again if we came back to San Francisco.

Wonderful cottage in San Francisco

This cottage was a perfect place for two couples to spend a week in San Francisco. It was well furnished, the TV had some great channels, and there were plenty of supplies for cooking and doing laundry. The owner also provided some nice snacks and travel books with great suggestions for things to do. The neighborhood around the cottage is not very attractive but the cottage is very secure and it's located very close to public transportation: metro and BART. We were quite happy with our stay.

Very cozy and proximity to UCSF and parking were very important.

Kristine's Garden Cottage worked out very well for our family for our extended stay in San Francisco. Having on-site parking was very important. Since we were there for an extended stay, the washer, dryer and kitchen was very helpful. Greatly appreciated Kristine's quick responses to any of our inquiries. Thanks again!

Private Cottage with Parking

Kristine's garden cottage was the perfect place for my family. My husband, daughter and baby granddaughter stayed in the cottage while we visited our other daughter in the Outer Mission. It was just a 10 minute walk to her house, and a very short walk to the Balboa Park Station. The cottage is well equipped and spotless, with very good kitchen appliances. It also has a washer and dryer, which was priceless for us with a little one. The gated yard allowed us privacy, a view of the hillsides, and a very convenient place to park. Kristine's family had orchids and plants in the yard, and it is a peaceful setting. Kristine left welcome snacks, some basics like soaps, coffee, some spices, tea, etc. She was immediately responsive when I contacted her before and during the trip. I'm sure we will book this property when we visit again in a couple of months.

Very comfortable, updated and clean

Kristine's place is nicely updated. The place was clean and had a very nice feel to it. It has a great kitchen if you like to cook. It also has off street parking. It has very convenient walking access to Balboa Park BART. It was a great place to stay. Would definitely come back. The only downside is that the neighborhood is only ok and the place is right overlooking the highway and you can hear the constant hum of traffic.

Very nice cottage!

Everything was there starting from the usual like dishes, pots and pans over tissues in every room(!), soap for the washing machine up to tupperware-like boxes to our some stuff in the fridge. As we had record-breaking temperatures we found an additional fan at the front door, and Kristines husband within minutes when we had issues with the TV.. The only thing which was not perfect was a bit of noise from the motorway next to the location, but it was not that bad. Overall we had a very pleasant stay. Thanks a lot Kristine!

Comfortable & Secure

My wife and I visited San Francisco for the first time for a friends wedding. Not knowing the area very well, I was delighted to find this little cottage in a nice part of the city. Access to the cottage was through a gated driveway which added a little more security. The cottage was fairly close to the highway. I am an extremely light sleeper and it really didn't bother me at all. Access to public transportation was only a short walk away. It took us about 10 minutes to walk to the BART station and from there it was just a quick ride into the city. Kristine was extremely responsive to any messages I sent her. While we never got the chance to meet in person, I got the sense that Kristine is a wonderful individual. Thank you Kristine for a wonderful place to stay for the week!

Wonderful for a family of four

Everything was great. Great beds and very comfortable place. We had all the comforts of home. It is near the highway but frankly I don't know anywhere in the city where you wouldn't hear traffic. I did buy a box fan for white noise and left it for others to use. It does help if traffic bothers you. The family on the property were so wonderful and nice. A few things for others: you will not need coffee filters, detergent, or towels.

very comfortable, safe & secure place to park, which was feet from the cottage

the location was great, could not have asked for better secure parking, privacy & overall feeling of safety at this site. accommodations were fantastic, beds very comfortable, very clean my only complaint was the TV/cable service. Roku television did not offer live local, national news. although I did not come there to watch television; I would have preferred to see nightly news, MSNBC, CBS, CNN or the like as I like to keep up with what is happening around the world on a daily basis. I would highly recommend this cottage for anyone wishing to visit San Francisco. It was minutes from everywhere we wanted to see & experience, except Monterey, which was a worth while drive.

Thank you, we appreciate your review. We apologize these channels weren't available. The Roku had to be updated with our credentials (which is required by our cable provider). Feel at home

Nice and clean cottage with modern look. Near public transport Muni and supermarket. Parking for car (but do not come with a big SUV ...). Very nice owner who always answers very quickly to mails. By arrival a little present to wish us welcome and got a lot of informations concerning the housing and SF. We felt like at home. Just be aware that the cottage is close to the highway and if sensible to noise do not forget your earplugs. Thanks Kristine for your kindness.

Perfect place to stay while in SF! We loved it.

My daughters, teenager and 2nd grader, and I decided Spring Break was for San Francisco. Never having been we originally booked a Marriot hotel. About a week before, I decided the hotel wasn't exactly going to be the best accommodations for us this time so I started checking out houses aka cottages in SF. We ended up here and not a single disappointment to be had. Very clean, very updated, adorable place, and having a full kitchen, full bath, and a washer/dryer was superior! Way better than a hotel... for us. We used our larger SUV two times during our seven day trip and other than our venture to the grocery store and Muir Woods we really did not need a car... BIG NOTE: The rental larger SUV fit through the awesome cottage gate but not by much... so I would highly suggest a smaller/narrower car which is best for parking around San Francisco if you were to drive the streets anyway. We primarily used the Muni light rail and Muni busses. The light rail stops less than a block from cottage so this was great for us and of course so convenient. We had a wonderful time and will be back!! Thanks Kristine for having us! Awesome Memories!!! ❤❤

Cozy,convenient and secure.

I loved staying at this little cottage in the city. It was conveniently located near major freeways and late night restaurants but without the crazy congestion that happens in the more major parts of the city. The neighborhood was very safe and quiet. this cottage was for sure home away from home with full amenities you can't get with your typical hotel.

Great cottage but needs improvements

For the family of four with a baby it was a nice and comfortable stay. Location: The cottage is in close proximity by car to everything which made traffic a breeze. If you are planning to do grocery shopping the store Luckys is the cheapest version for all your needs. The highway is situated right below the cottage which was not a bother at all. Our windows were closed at all times so the noise was never an issue. Safety: It is not a posh area however we always felt safe and secure. There is the front gate and the cottage was not seen from the street. It had parking which was even more convenient and gave a great piece of mind. Host: Although we have not met Kristine the whole stay we were there she was very responsive and provided remote assistance and suggestions to all our needs. I especially appreciated her taking care of the packages I ordered online. Cottage: A very well designed space that accommodates 4 adults and one baby comfortably. A washing and drying machine was a great bonus. Kristine also left a welcome package for us which was very thoughtful. The space was clean and very well stocked, even to my high standards, with essentials including tupperware. Improvements needed: I wished there were no ants in the place. We are an OCD family when it comes to clean environment but it seemed no matter what we did ants would keep coming back in numbers. There was also a problem with a refrigerator that would keep creating puddles on the inside. We enjoyed our trip and the cottage was a great part of it. There are improvements that needed to be done but what place doesn't?

Thank you, I appreciate the feedback on your stay. The comfort of our guests is of utmost importance to us, and we work hard to make sure all of our guests have an enjoyable experience. After your departure, we discovered that a past guest had turned the freezer to the maximum, hence causing an excessive ice buildup that caused the puddles. So we defrosted it and cleaned it out. As for the ants, it can occasionally be a seasonal problem. The weather during your stay was unusually cold and rainy, which can sometimes drive them indoors. There was also a little spilled sugar and jam that probably helped to attract them. With a ground floor unit, we do our best to seal the place and treat the exterior. Our cottage will be closed for the remainder of the winter so that we can take other measures to keep pests out.

My in-laws immigrated to San Francisco from Hong Kong in the mid-70's with not much more than a few suitcases. Through years of hard work in farming, child care, and real estate, they saved enough money to purchase their first property. This home represents their American Dream. A large house on a spacious lot where they could raise their family and indulge in their passion, gardening.
