The two main problems we had were broken slats on the blinds letting streetlights shine on our eyes at night and a shortage of toilet paper since we couldn't find a spare roll.

Do not rent false advertising.This is not what was advertised.Did not have all the furniture that was pictured and the furniture that was there had broken legs, was very dangerous and unusable.The television did not work and there was no way to connect to the internet. We repeatedly tried to have it fixed by the host and he was unable to. He said he needed to have access to the home but we were unable to stay and wait for him.It was missing light fixtures, it had holes in the walls everywhere, it had water stains on the ceiling. The blinds were broken and inoperable, the shower curtain was not attached and repeatedly fell off. Some of the towels had large holes in them and we're more like large hand towels than bath towels. The shower curtain did not prevent water from getting on the floor making a slip Hazard and the refrigerator was full of stains. There was a washer and dryer in the basement but no lights that worked and the dryer did not dry the clothes.

We had a great stay overall! The house worked really well for our group and had everything we needed. The host was quick to respond and took care of any issues right away — including missing bedding and a refrigerator problem. Parking could sometimes be a bit tricky to find, but it wasn’t a major issue.The home could use a few updates — a fresh coat of paint and some improved seating in the dining and living areas would make a big difference. The living room furniture and layout were a little different than pictured, but still comfortable enough for our stay.Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and would stay again!

Upon arrival, there were towels, trash, and used dishes laying out around the apartment. It was apparent that the apartment had not been cleaned since the prior tenets left. Although this was resolved once we reached out to the owners, the cleanliness overall was still disappointing. On top of this, the back deck was unstable when standing on it, the WiFi did not work for any of our devices, and kitchen did not have much of any supplies to cook a basic meal. For the price, we were overall disappointed with our experience. Even after we arrived and the apartment was uncleaned and unprepared the host did not offer any compensation for our lost time.

Perfect for what it is; plenty of beds for a large group and a place to cook instead of eating out! It’s true that it reeks of marijuana, but I don’t think the owner can control that considering the shared walls with other units. The TV instructions need to be updated as the screens didn’t match the ones in the instructions and took a while to be able to use but never could access the array of channels advertised. There are several basic cooking items but I couldn’t find a baking sheet to put bread on so maybe a couple more necessities added to kitchen would be helpful. Easy check in and lots of room s for large groups.

The odor was horrific and there was mail all over the floor at the front door. The dishes were left in the dishwasher so we were not aware there were enough plates and silverware for everyone. There was dirt, dust and trash behind the end table in the bedroom.

This unit was not as advertised, it was dirty, stains on sheets, a vine was growing through the window into family room. Only way to turn on light was by standing on a chair, holes in walls, pot smell was terrible, did not even have a cookie sheet or any pans that could go in oven, front of building looks like it could fall at anytime, one trash bag, no washer dryer, no lamps in rooms as pictured, smoke detector hanging from ceiling and blinds were all broken and you could see right through them. I contacted the owners and they did not reply!

Communication with Dan was on point, never had any issues! Beds were super comfy and bedrooms were super spacious except bunk bed room is very small but we didn’t use it any way the two queen beds in the 3 bigger rooms was plenty for 6 adults and 4 kids. Really only cons we had was There is only 1 TV period and the WiFi is basically non existent, thankfully we took a blu-ray player and movies for the kids and also only a half roll of toilet paper period for 3 days but I didn’t bring it to Dans attention either because we just grabbed some while we was out. Also not sure where laundry facility was but it’s not in the duplex. And if you have real little ones you will want to block the steps off going down to entrance. Over all for the price and basically just needing a place to sleep and shower and made a small breakfast for the fam before we set out for our days, it worked out for our family perfectly and we would for sure stay again. Neighbors even seemed friendly.

I absolutely loved this place. I always worry about the bed quality and comfort and let me say these beds in all the rooms are A!! Extremely clean and I gave 5 stars all around cause I stay at a lot of rentals but this one I couldn’t not give even though only 2 things really bothered me about it, it was not enough to discount the fact it’s a great place, updated well, very comfortable furniture, and air works great! Only 2 negatives, WiFi was spotty so we used our hot spot. The other was a marijuana smell as soon as you unlock the door and walk in but it’s not up on the actual floor of the apartment so not sure. But it’s definitely there as a soon as you walk in. Other than that! Book the place it’s really great!

The property had easy parking for the area and all the activities going on in the Shaw. Great kitchen comfortable beds.Lots of stairs for 91 82 old adults. Laundry area was very undesirable.Great area to walk and enjoy beautiful St. Louis

Family and friends trip

This property is great for large groups that want economic stay. WiFi is bad/spotty but we just used it as a place to stay at night and eat and it’s great for that.

Don't recommend

This place had four positive things going for it: very comfortable beds, hot shower with good water pressure, quiet neighborhood, and it's proximity to downtown St Louis (15 min). The strong marijuana smell that greeted us at the door and down the stairway entrance was awful. Also, the internet signal was zero to poor. We had to use our cell Hotspot to watch TV. While the kitchen was updated, it wasn't well stocked, with very little silverware, no baking dishes, and a broken can opener. The shower leaks water onto the floor, and the step into the bathroom is a tripping hazard. The air conditioner couldn't keep up with the heat during the day. The living room fan didn't work. The building itself was dilapidated and in poor condition. While street parking is free, we got a parking ticket because we didn't see a sign up the street that said no parking on the first Thursday of each month. There is only ONE bathroom, which was challening for our small group. Overall, I would not recommend this place due to the marijuana and poor conditon of the building and the issues we had.

Lots of rooms and beds but only 1 mirror in the entire place. Bath tub was clogging with one shower. WiFi details and tv were sent but tried for about two hours and gave up after it wouldn’t work.

Cozy Stay

This property was perfect for what my parents and I needed to enjoy our stay in St. Louis. It was a quaint little home to come back to and enjoy each others company after our busy days of venturing out and about. The amenities that were included were great, the beds were so comfortable and the location was ideal, close to just about anything you to see. Dan was phenomenal to communicate and work with as well. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for just a cozy little spot to relax and wind down at after a day/evening outing.
