This classic, cozy log cabin at the base of the Shawangunk Ridge rests on 3 acres of woodland, and borders Mohonk Preserve. Enjoy modern amenities & thoughtful interior design, walk to the Mohonk Visitor Center, and straight up to the cliff! Separate, modern studio sits beside the main cabin and boasts a covered wraparound porch - an artist's studio, a yoga studio, a perfect spot to work from home, or to watch the rain fall if you can't go hiking or rock climbing.

A dream cottage that perfectly matched what we were seeking. It was located next to Minnewaska and Mohonk, offering easy access to all the hiking trails. The hosts were very knowledgeable and shared excellent suggestions for activities in the area. We're excited to return soon!

This was my favorite stay I’ve ever taken. The owners were extremely helpful and kind and the cabin is so heartwarmingly charming. There are so many activities so close by and the best German restaurant right down the road. I cannot wait to book here again, I already miss it!

Our stay was absolutely amazing! The cabin was exactly what we were seeking for our siblings weekend. We couldn't have found a more perfect place. The cabin was extremely clean and incredibly cozy. We appreciated the attention to detail and thoughtfulness throughout. Check-in was very easy and the hosts provided detailed information about the property, area, and things to do. The hosts were great!We completely fell in love with this place! We regret not planning a longer trip, but we look forward to booking this rental again very soon (and for longer this time)! We can't thank you enough

Beautiful cabin in the woods. Lots of thoughtful details. Several small towns nearby and lots and lots of cool hiking trails and rock climbing around. Check out the BrauHaus restaurant just down the street!

The cabin was very clean and comfortable - it looked like the whole thing had just been updated and it had everything we needed. It was very nice to be able to walk directly onto the trails at Mohonk Reservation and we also enjoyed nearby breweries and restaurants. The owners were very responsive and gave us excellent recommendations. We would definitely stay again.

a perfect cabin in a great location

We stayed for only one night and upon stepping in immediately regretted not booking for more. The place is perfect, with beautiful decor and immaculately clean. It is right on the woods with a "children's forest" my children were obsessed with. The host went out of her way to provide detailed information and even a hand-drawn map. 10/10!

Great little cabin near Mohonk!

I spent four days at the cabin in early spring as a solo getaway. Cabin is clean, very organized, and well appointed (not incredibly luxurious but very comfortable and everything is in very good shape). Check in was a breeze. Hosts left lots of detailed and useful info. It was awesome to be able to walk out the back door and be on a Mohonk preserve trail within steps. Also a quick drive to New Paltz. There was a small amount of traffic noise, but not enough to bother me. Also, no TV or microwave which was fine with me, but others might care about. All in all a fantastic stay -- I hope I'll be able to come back again!

Mini Spring Break Getaway

Our family of four - 2 adults & 2 kiddos (11 & 14) - rented this little cabin from Veronica & Mark for the first weekend of our spring break and it was...wonderful So charming, thoughtfully decorated and organized, and perfectly appointed overall. And spotless! The location was fantastic, with walking access to the Mohonk.Preserve and very close to both other hikes and the town of New Paltz (15 min drive away).It is true that there is no microwave or TV, but that was a-ok with us. There is a washer and dryer,, however. We didn't anticipate using them since our visit was short, but we ended up appreciating it much as our first day of "spring" break was awfully snowy and slushy and our hiking clothes got wet, wet, WET. Our hosts were nothing but responsive and accommodating throughout our whole trip - including lead-up - and helped shovel and clear the driveway multiple times. They also left some lovely snacks and drinks in the pantry and fridge. Loved by all of us, especially upon our unexpectedly snowy arrival. Lastly, the Mountain Brauhaus is a local institution and one of the best restaurants around...and right down the road. We had dinner there our first night and it was Excellent with a capital E. Our hosts helped us out with that as well. The size was no problem and the living room sofabed was very comfortable. Thank you for the hospitality and we look forward to returning sometime!
