Recently renovated, waterfront property! Escape to our charming lakefront home on picturesque Lake Hawkins. With direct water access and gorgeous sunset views, this property is perfect for a relaxing getaway. Guests can enjoy the many comforts this home has to offer as well as the lake's beautiful clear water for swimming, fishing, boating, skiing, kayaking; you name it! Lake Hawkins has it ALL! Fish off of our boat dock, swim in our sandy shore area, float around, or borrow our kayaks! Lake Hawkins has a public boat ramp close by and access to a nice, sandy beach area, camp ground, and an RV park too. There are also several local restaurants, with one located right on the water with a nice outdoor seating area. Book now and see why we're excited to share our vacation home with you! *We now have fiber internet!! **The more nights you book, the cheaper the nightly rate.

This was the cutest house with an amazing front porch overlooking Lake Hawkins. It was spotless and well stocked. The mattresses and pillows were very comfortable. The decor was tasteful and the kitchen was just right for our stay. We had a wonderful experience and will do our best to return again next year.

The house is adorable and equipped with everything you need. We enjoyed the kayaks, swimming and fishing off the dock. My 6 year old had a ball catching one small fish after another. It rained a lot during our stay but the huge front porch is the perfect spot for eating and playing games, rain or shine.

Cozy little place with good fishing from dock. Liked thebig front porch and several types of grills. Would stay again. Master bedroom toilet needs new chain and front door lock needs replaced but we were happy with our stay.Thank you.

Quiet area in a comfortable lake house

Very nice home w/fireplace & a huge covered porch/deck w/grill. The main bed was super comfortable. I couldn't have asked for more except WiFi was not yet available and cell reception was not working with my phone. Still would like to stay here again!!

We use this property as our "guest house"

Our out of town visitors generally use this lakeside house when coming to see us. It is always clean and beautiful. They have done some recent remodeling that has made it even better than it was, especially the front porch which is the perfect place to watch a gorgeous sunset. Owners are always helpful, positive, and welcoming to our guests.

Teenage birthday weekend

This cabin is beautifully decorated and spotless. The dock was great and firepit was great as well. Well stocked with all you need for stay. We used grill to grill one evening. And plenty of parking even with truck and boat trailer. Also had a relaxing large porch in front with beautiful lake view with a porpane firepit as well. Would highly recommend.

Our group was five women, and we found this sweet little spot a most enjoyable place to stay. The location was superb. Be sure you take time to enjoy those sunsets!! The house was just across a little road from the dock, and is situated on a small hill (if you have mobility issues, this would not be a good location as the steps are steep). The home has a large porch on the front (easy to sit and relax and enjoy the lakefront view). The house has three bedrooms (not real large, but sufficient for our needs). Each room's bed was comfortable and we really appreciated the decor that gave it a country-home feel. I will say that the futon in one of the bedrooms was not so comfortable to sleep on for an adult, but may be fine for a child. I'd say bring a foam mattress if you want to use it. We found it clean and well-appointed. The cleanup wasn't too exhaustive as some places usually are. Self-entry was easy and we'd stay here again.

Waterfront house

We had family come in from out of town last minute and they didn’t want to stay in a hotel. Found them this very nice house on lake Hawkins and they really enjoyed it. They enjoyed it so much that they said every time they come out to visit they want to stay there again. It’s beautiful. The host is very friendly and very easy to talk to. The check in was quick and simple. My family had a great weekend stay.

96 birthday party

Every year we come to TX for Christmas to celebrate the birthday of a loved grandpa. For the past 7 years we have stayed at this cabin and have such wonderful memories. When we found out the cabin had been sold, we were so sad… then we found your listing on VRBO. The thoughtful changes you have made have created such a warm and welcoming home. Thank you for helping make another Christmas special!

Peace and quiet we needed

Incredible spot. Stayed 3 days. The lake house was more than we expected. It didnt feel like a rental but a home. The little touches like spices, toys, games, lifejackets and laundry supplies were welcome surprises. I wish i had booked a longer trip.The only issues was the front steps and the slope leading to lake. My mother is in her mid eighties so it was a bit difficult for her to maneuver but we succeeded. Had some more fily join us during the day and they LOVED it! My husband, who does not like the outdoors, wants to book another trip in future.

Amazing

We stayed here (with our grown children and 2 year old grandchild) while visiting other family nearby. It was amazing! The place, the views, and the extras were spot on. Easy check in and out. The weather didn't cooperate for outdoor activities, however, we did enjoy the covered patio. Very quiet location. Bedrooms were surprisingly quiet with the doors closed. We were able to visit in living room/kitchen while others slept in. Comfortable beds as well. Even had few toys for the grandchild to play with. Will definitely stay here again.

I’ve lived and taught in Wood County for over 30 years. After my retirement, my husband and I bought this home, renovated it, and loved it so much that we wanted to share it with others (and help with the costs)! I enjoy hosting others and I LOVE lake life, so this home seemed perfect to share!

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

I’ve been boating and enjoying this lake since I moved to East Texas as a kid. It’s clear, clean waters and sandy shore lines are what I love the most. The people are very friendly too! The area has a lot to offer with nice restaurants, a public beach area, camp ground, convenience store, jet ski rentals, and more right on the lake.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We’ve stayed at several short term rentals on the lake and we think ours has the nicest view (beautiful sunsets, of course!) and cleanest swim area. It’s also really hard to find a three bedroom / 2 bath house to rent here! But really, there aren’t many short term rentals available, at least not directly on the water!
