Esta propiedad está ubicada en el cinturón bananero de Gualala, California. donde el clima es casi siempre cálido y soleado, incluso si gran parte de la costa está cubierta de niebla, pero a solo minutos del río y la playa. Mientras conduce por el camino privado, esta gran casa se asienta majestuosamente en un sereno prado de secoyas con una hermosa terraza y jardín.
La casa es espaciosa y tiene una gran cocina con una nueva estufa de calidad comercial y hermosas encimeras de granito. El comedor tiene capacidad para grupos grandes para comidas memorables con su familia y amigos. El salón tiene techos abovedados, con escaleras que conducen a un gran altillo. (Considerado como 2 de las habitaciones) El loft está separado por una pared parcial y tiene 2 camas Queen nuevas a cada lado. Además del loft, hay un dormitorio principal con una cama King y baño privado. Disfrute de la parrilla en la gran terraza y disfrute de la hermosa pradera y jardines. Hay televisión por cable y wi-fi en el hogar.

Nota: La única fuente de calor para esta propiedad es una estufa de leña. Madera ubicada en cobertizo detrás de la casa.

We loved our quiet retreat here before Thanksgiving. The house is clean and spacious, the kitchen is amazing, and the kids loved learning how to make and tend to a wood fire in the stove. We explored the coast and the beach, enjoyed the town of Gualala and my favorite--we foraged for mushrooms and cooked a delicious chanterelle stew with our finds. I'd recommend this place to a family or group.

Went for my daughter’s birthday. The kitchen was excellent. I cooked all our meals and everything to make gourmet meals was on hand. Loved the stove the plates were gorgeous and everything else was great. The rooms were nice and comfortable. House was cozy once I got the fire going.

We had a lovely visit here. It was so relaxing and quiet, surrounded by woods without another soul around. We enjoyed ambling in the meadow with our dogs and breathing in the fresh clean air. The cabin is very comfortable and suited our needs very well, with a comfortable living room and a spacious kitchen. Yet in spite of being off the beaten path, it's quite close to the restaurants in Gualala, Cooks Beach (recommended), and walks along the bluff overlooking the ocean. I'd definitely come back!

We were able to relax and regenerate at your beautiful house and property! We enjoyed the fireplace, TV and well stocked kitchen! We spent hours exploring the Mendocino coast and hope to visit again soon. Comfy beds

Beautiful property with nice outdoor spaces for kids to play and explore. Great downstairs space in kitchen, dining room, and living room for family to gather. One bedroom with king bed. The other 4 queen beds are in an open loft, with a 3/4 length wall dividing the open loft in half.

Beautiful retreat in the woods!

Absolutely beautiful property!! Very private. Well built cabin with wrap around porch. Updated kitchen with new appliances. We reserved this place for a long weekend with family and friends in June. Only source of heat was wood burning stove. Decor is a bit dated especially lighting and no covering in windows which was great during daylight but not so good at night. Needed more towels. Very peaceful serene environment!!

New year in Gualala

Our group of family and friends have gathered here twice a year for several years. The large living room, kitchen and dining area give plenty of room to relax. The property is very private and quiet.

Nice stay close to the beach but away from humans

This place was perfect for my family. We were comfortable and although this was during a record heat wave, the cabin stayed nice and cool all day. The queen beds upstairs were very comfortable and the view from up there is great.

New Years in Gualala

Great private forested location with easy access. Large kitchen and dining area and comfortable living room. Lots of windows to enjoy the redwoods. The wood burning stove kept us plenty warm.

I love this place. Beautiful views out every window. So quiet and peaceful. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen has everything you would ever need to prepare meals. The owners were easy to communicate with. I can't wait to go back!

Great location and super close to the beach!

Overall the rental exactly as described, however no working BBQ even though we asked renter prior to going. Also main oven didn’t heat so if your renting don’t count on baking anything. 4 beds were really convenient but well used. Awesome that pets are welcome!

This place is well preserved and shows a lot of love put into the grounds. We did notice that the dryer was not hooked up to the gas line and the exhaust was not working as well. Kind of a big deal if you have a family Maybe that can be repaire easily as we want to bring our Family up next time. Beauty out every window, peace and quiet and plenty of room to roam.. AWESOME STAY

Beautiful location

Property is beautiful and secluded, house was fine. All who slept on loft beds said they were very comfortable. The main bedroom mattress was a little hard, but not bad. Did not give five stars because there are no curtains in the house other than some very thin ones in main bedroom, including the very visible bathroom window. Also lacked any toiletries that all of my other VRBO homes have had (shampoo and soap). I would stay here again and do recommend it, but would just bring an eye mask and plenty of toiletries next time.

Magnificent 8

We truly enjoyed our time in Gualala! The cabin was clean, and big enough to fit our family. It definitely was fun exploring the surroundings. The kitchen was fantastic for having family meals. It was super functional, and had a feel of old rustic farmhouse. Everything we needed for cooking was available. We were all able to be in the kitchen to help prep for breakfast and dinners. The kids had a blast up on the loft upstairs. The beds were quite comfortable. The big screen TV was awesome! The cell service was better at the house than in town. Thank you for letting us rent your place for our weekend adventure. It was incredible and we all decided to make it an annual summer tradition to come back. Next time, it’ll be longer than just 3 nights!

Pleasant get away

Very private and quite location. It is near enough to the road that you do hear a passing car here or there but not a busy road and the sound is serene, with a sound of wind pushing through the treed canyon confuses you that you are closer to the ocean than you are. Inside very open floor plan with the onlybprivacy the master bed and bath. Fire place for the heat and a couple portable heaters for extra as needed. Fire kept house very warm. Nice kitchen, updated appliances. Beds were comfortable. Dryer was broke at the time of our stay but owner was made aware. There are no curtains anywhere in the house accept for the master bedroom, which lends to nice view of the setting every where in the house. Its a great place for a family with kids. The kids have a great area to explore and play out side. Would choose an ocen view location as well, however, the privacy of this home is definately unique and close enough to the twom and a few beachs. Would definately go back again.

Great Location in the Woods

The house is nice and on a very nice wooded property that is quiet and private and is pretty much as described in the listing. There are a couple of crows that were hanging around and a rabbit also paid a visit. The beach and river is only a short drive away. We stayed in the area last year in Anchor Bay and really enjoy the area. You will need to make sure to bring toiletries and some kitchen items like sauces and ketchup and some seasonings. Bring mosquito repellent, it may have been that the weather was even warmer than normal out this way, but there were a lot of mosquitoes in the evenings aside from the last night we were there as it was much cooler. There are some windows missing screens as is one of the sliders, we found a small fan that helped pull in cool air at night and there are ceiling fans, if it is going to be especially warm I recommend bringing a couple of extra fans. I'm sure normally it isn't as warm as it was while we were there so this may not be as much of a thought normally, the beach didn't even have any fog until the last day we were there. The price is reasonable and is on our list as a place to possibly visit again. Thanks again!

The home was beautiful, the property was beautiful & peaceful. We all loved it & had a memorable time. The owner was excellent on communication.My only complaint is the cleanliness of the inside & out. The outside deck & furniture would have benefited with a leaf blower & wipe down of cushions. The inside had not been vacuumed, dusted, windows inside had cobwebs & dead flies. The kitchen needed a scrub down before we used it. I tried not to look up at the lights over the kitchen island. I don’t think anyone has cleaned them in a long time. There were quite a few things that were broken & needs replaced or fixed. There was a previous guest’s boxers & socks behind the Master bedroom door. Bugs on the sheets in MB also.The whole house smelled musty, we had to air it out. There was portable fans to use but were so dirty we did not use them. The main bathroom shower curtain had soap scum all over.One of the outbuildings had a broken window with glass everywhere.It’s too bad the cleaning company is not doing their job because it is a beautiful peaceful place that we would love to stay in again but only if these things are addressed. The owner probably has no idea that they are paying for a cleaning service & they are doing are not doing their job!My family & I were in Gualala to spread my husband’s ashes & to be together & celebrate his life. We did not let all this ruin our stay but it could have been so much better.Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home

Natives call it wa-LA-la. This comes from the Kashaya Pomo Indian phrase, "ah kha wa la lee" which means, "Where the water flows down", which makes sense--for the river goes out to the ocean right across from the center of town, right by that big sand bar where the whales stop for lunch every year. Enjoy Kayaking, hiking, fishing, swimming all nearby.
