The Lodge on Stony Creek es una casa espaciosa y aislada situada en más de 450 acres privados. Beautiful property that needs updates

We stayed over Thanksgiving with our family and had a wonderful time. The property has a stream running right next to it, which was very relaxing. My only critique is that the stove was disgusting, burnt on food, looked like it hadn’t been deep cleaned ever. The dishwasher handle was broken. There is no garbage disposal, so that’s inconvenient as well. The trash receptacle outside was not large enough for more than four bags, which we obviously exceeded being a large family cooking Thanksgiving dinner.

Great visit!

Plenty of room for us to spread out and come together. Everything was clean and reasonably well stocked. If you are a tea drinker, pack a tea kettle.

Near Fallingwater

I provided feedback to the property management company that the lack of additional items in the kitchen was disappointing. Cooking utensils and dishes were fine. Usually when I have stayed at VRBO or AirB&B properties there were kitchen items like Saran Wrap, foil, olive oil, etc. available. With the grocery store a distance away, having these items available would have been nice.

All in all was not a bad place to stay.

I rented this home for the long 4th of July weekend for 10 adults and 2 dogs. It is in a great location for outdoor enthusiast, but is also close enough to towns for people who don’t enjoy being outdoors as much. The check in process was super simple and easy. While the majority of the home was clean, I did notice that there was a lot of dead insects in the top corner of the shower downstairs. We were unable to get the living room tv to connect to anything, but that wasn’t a huge deal for us , as we rented this home to go hiking and be outdoors. A lot of the outdoor deck chairs were very worn and one was completely twisted and unable to be used. My main issue was there were boards on the deck that had pulled up, causing a safety issue. All in all it was an okay home to stay in.

Quiet and secluded

The house was nice and had plenty of space for my group. The back deck and surrounding outdoor space were great. Overall we were happy with the stay. We would’ve liked more cleaning supplies, additional paper towels and trash bags. Something to clean pots and pans would’ve been helpful as well.

Weekend Trip

Enjoyed our stay. It was very clean and kitchen had everything we needed. Does NEED a new coffee pot, leaked and wouldn’t work. Otherwise plenty of room and lots of things to do in the area. Enjoyed and would stay again.

Gorgeous rental

The Lodge at Stony Creek is a lovely home set in beautiful surroundings. It was very clean and very comfortable for our group of 10. It was even nicely decorated for the holidays. Sitting in the hot tub watching the snow fall down was fabulous!

Getaway

The property was a great size for our friends weekend! We had a little problem with check in as the code we were given did not work. It actually did not work at all over the weekend so we couldn’t lock the main door if we wanted to leave. The space was very clean and we loved how secluded it was! The beds weren’t the greatest but it was fine for two nights. Hot tub was great we got alot of use out it!

Quiet, Comfortable Family Get-away

Three generations, from ages seven to eighty, enjoyed five days in this spacious, well-appointed, and very clean lodge on a beautiful wooded lot with lots of privacy. The arrangement of bedrooms was perfect for our family of six adults and four youngsters. Having three bedrooms upstairs, a huge living area and kitchen on the main level, and two bedrooms on the lower level provided quiet sleeping spaces and three full baths. For a larger group and a stay of longer than a few days, a larger refrigerator would be helpful, especially since the nearest supermarkets are 20+ miles away. We would definitely come back to Stony Creek Lodge.

Great Family Getaway

This property was a wonderful place to stay with extended family. We went rafting on the nearby Yough river and everything was well-appointed to meet our needs during our trip. My only complaint is that a futon was pictured in the downstairs sleeping area but was not there when we arrived. We had been planning on the futon for flexibility in sleeping arrangements. Other than that it was a wonderful vacation home.

6 th annual winter vacation

We have been doing a after Christmas extended weekend trip for 6 years. This may have been the best one so far. The house is extremely spacious. We had 7 adults. 5 kids and 2 dogs. And plenty of room . We enjoyed the firepit and hot tub. My son and future dil got engaged at Cucumber Falls and we all went over and got some amazing pics. Enjoyed some time at the Christian Clay winery and brewery as well. Not to mention Mountain Pies pizza. YUMMY. Will definitely return.

Christmas Family Vacation Weekend!

It was our first time going away for Christmas and this place did not disappoint. Upon entering the cabin, we were so very pleased to see it decorated for the holidays. The main living area was very spacious. There was 11 of us, and we did not feel cramped at all. Large ‘L’ shaped couch with two reclining sitting chairs. There was a couch also in front of the fireplace with a loveseat to the side. Plenty of seating. The kitchen was very well stocked with all you might need. The huge table, accommodate the family dinners nicely. Upstairs, there were three bedrooms. One king master, and two queens. When you first go up the steps, the first bedroom is the king with an en suite. Down the hallway was a bathroom with a shower and two bedrooms with queen size beds. Downstairs was a common area that had a table and chairs and an air hockey table. There was a bathroom with a tub/shower combo. One bedroom with a king size bed and the other bedroom had two double beds. While there we went out to eat at Braddock’s. I highly recommend. Great food, large portions, friendly staff and low prices. The cabin was very clean, sheets and towels for everyone, even towels for the hot tub. Laundry on lower level if needed. We had a great stay and I recommend this privately situated cabin in a beautiful setting. We’d book it again!

Christmas trip

This is our 2nd time staying here. We stayed in 2020 and decided to come back to this location as we have dogs and it’s great to be able to let them run in the stream and walk the trails behind the house. They are then tired out so we can all sprawl out in the living area to watch tv or sit at the table playing games or puzzle!!!
