Comfortable and well equipped chalet off the beaten track

Ground floor: Open plan living with fireplace, dining and kitchen. French windows giving onto terrace and garden. WC and wash basin. Utility area with washing machine. Door giving direct access to garage.
1st floor: 3 bedrooms, each with a balcony. Sleeps 5 people (or 6 with a folding bed). Full bathroom with bath/shower, WC and wash basin.
Private enclosed garden with garden furniture and barbecue. Dogs welcome.

1 car garage attached to the chalet with direct access into the chalet. Private parking outside for 2 - 3 cars.
After snowfall roads are kept clear so accessible all year round. In winter snow tires are necessary.


Thermal baths are a wonderful place to go to, winter or summer. The nearest are at Saillon and Lavey-les-bains. Ovronnaz is a bit further away but it's wonderful to swim outside surrounded by snowy mountains.
The nearest swimming pool is in Champex, but it is not thermal.
PLEASE NOTE THAT DURING THE WINTER MONTHS FROM 1 JANUARY TO END OF MARCH THE CHALET IS RENTED FOR THE SEASON ONLY. CHF 1,500 PER MONTH PLUS ELECTRICITY ON THE METER.

Amazing stay

We stayed in Hilary’s amazing chalet for one month. The chalet is so comfortable, perfect for dogs as well with a fenced in beautiful garden. The chalet has everything you need for a great holiday.

Heimeliges Walliser Chalet mit eingezäuntem Garten. Garten mit viel Liegemöglichkeiten. Parkplatz vor dem Haus. Einkaufsmöglickeiten 10Min entfernt. Angrenzender Wald für schöne Spaziergänge.

Tolle Lage, super Chale und eine sehr nette Gastgeberin.

Wunderbares Chalet, sehr sauber und sehr gut eingerichtet. Die Lage ist top. Ideal mit Hund weil das Grundstück eingezäunt ist und man vom Chalet aus auch eine gute Runde spazieren kann. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und kommen bestimmt wieder.

Stunning!

The chalet was perfect for my husband and I, and our 3 dogs. The garden is secure, and a great sun spot with areas of shade and terrific views. A variety walks direct from the property, and even more a short drive away. Personally, we found the scenery towards La Fouly better than the other direction. With or without dogs, we would recommend staying here! Oh, and the chilled Rose wine was very much appreciated- Thank you Hilary!

Great Holidays in a nice and calm area

The chalet is really nice and cosy. We've been there a few times now and every time is a pleasure. We feel really comfortable there and the area is great if you like walking. There are lots of possibilities for that. Plus, the fact that there's a fence is just perfect if you have dogs.

Our second home

This chalet has become the second home for us and our dogs. We come here every year preferably more than once per year. We are very happy to stay somewhere were the dogs are very welcome and the garden is enclosed. The chalet is very well equipped with everything that you need and the garage/storage room is a bonus to that. If the weather is not so nice than it is a comfortable chalet to spend a day inside. The owner is very friendly and helpful if you need something or have a question. The chalet is situated in a quiet valley and neighbourhood and you can just walk from the chalet into the mountains if you like but there are also nice walks near La Fouly, Liddes and it is just a 15 minutes drive and then you enter the famous Val de Bagnes with the gorgeous mountains around Verbier and the 4 Vallées.

Dream chalet in a dream location

We have been coming to the chalet for almost 10 years and never tire of it or the location. The chalet itself is very cozy with a stunning view of the surrounding mountains. The rooms are all well appointed and nicely decorated and we find everything we need to enjoy our stay (incl barbeque set for al fresco dining!). The location is breathtaking and offers both tranquility and ease of access to the Valais, Italy and France. This has become our "home from home" in a little piece of heaven!

A dream holiday

We have had a very nice holiday , the cahalet was complete and clean , the garden has so much privacy and for our Dog pretty to walk and lay in an fenced garden. Hilary has a good constumer services and is very kindly , we have told to many friends how nice and beautiful this place will be and we hope in de summer of 2017 comeback again ..for the rest and beautiful place ...this is holiday for us , thanks Hilary for the good and lovely time we have had in youre chalet

Just wat we wanted

This is a very complete chalet. A lot of love is put in to it by the owner. And the service and attention of her is fabulous.We loved the fenced garden, the internet connection and all the other convient things. The chalet lies in a beautiful little quit side valley where everyone already knows us because of our evening walks with the dogs :-) We will come back as much as we can.

Wonderful relaxing holidays

Lovely house, beautiful place and surroundings! The chalet is very well equipped and comfortable. You can do a lot of walks starting by food from the house. We enjoyed our stay very much and are sure to come back next year!

this is a lovely comfortable chalet with great views. Quiet & peaceful. well-equipped, comfortable settees & beds. very clean. Good garden furniture. Plenty of hot water anytime of day. We had a wonderful week, with our adult children.Hilary was very friendly & helpful and we were grateful she is English-speaking! The valley is beautiful with wonderful walks from the door. Would definitely want to go again.

Amazing "home from home"

We have vacationed at Hilary’s chalet for 3 years now, a fact which speaks for itself. The house itself is a picture perfect “Swiss chalet” and it makes for a very comfortable “home from home”, with all the facilities we could want and need. Outside, you can enjoy some breathtakingly beautiful views all around, especially from the back yard where we liked to cook out and simply take it all in. Inside are comfortable bedrooms, great lounge/dining/kitchen area, wifi and TV options if you need to stay in touch with home. The furnishings are very comfortable and impeccably clean. The location is also excellent and best of both worlds, since you are in a very peaceful village so it’s quiet but very convenient to a lot of things, including local scenery (Champex Lac is a favorite) and the main highways to Geneva, Lausanne, Montreux, Sion, Martigny etc. There’s a small town close by called Sembrancher, with large supermarket and tones of nice restaurants off the roadside all around. Sion is not too far and our personal favorite. We simply love this place and will come back again. It’s the best of all worlds in every way and we can’t imagine going to Switzerland without staying here – it’s perfect!

Spring in Praz-De-Fort

We spent 10 days in the chalet and were very pleased with everything. After a 9hr drive from the UK Hilary kindly made arrangemets for us to be able to accses the chalet early, what a great service. The chalet is well equiped has cable television and wi fi, the kitchen has plenty of equipment with an expresso machine too ! The chalet is spacious the rooms were cleaned to a high standard, the beds and rooms upstairs were very good and very comfortable, the bathroom has a very good shower with loads of hot water and high water pressure. The sun terrace has wonderful views especially in the afternoon sun, the awning was a great addition, there is plenty of outdoor furniture to use as well as a bbq and fondue set. The location is great, set in the rolling green hills of switzerland, a very quiet location for relaxing but also within easy distance to Martigny and the swiss motorway system to make traveling and excursions simple. I would certinaly recomend this chalet, well done Hilary.

The chalet is not in a resort with lots of people around. It is quiet and tranquil and a great area for walking. Yet it is not far from the many resorts in the Swiss Alps.
