The Space

Guest Access & Safety:
Please note: The Perch is an elevated home and requires guests to climb stairs to enter and exit. Children and guests needing assistance must be supervised at all times outdoors. The property is directly on the lake and not fenced.

Cheniere Lake is currently undergoing a temporary drawdown recommended by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) to help manage the spread of giant salvinia, an invasive aquatic plant. The drawdown is part of a larger management plan to protect the lake's ecosystem, recreational opportunities, and long-term health.
Kayaking and paddling opportunities at Cheniere Lake are limited at this time. Please keep current lake conditions in mind when planning.
Boaters: At the planned 4-foot drawdown, small recreational boats will still be able to use the lake's boat launches. However, lower water levels may expose or create navigation hazards, so boaters should use extra caution.
