We are a family of five originally from Texas that just recently set off on an East coast adventure to try our hands at homesteading in Maine. We both have medical backgrounds (Ian is an ER physician, Katy a physician assistant turned full-time mom and homeschool teacher). As a family we love to be outside, read, learn new skills together, eat good food and get to know our neighbors. We value being a part of a local church and stewarding what God has generously given us.

Our home is located within walking distance to the famous Magnolia street with abounding coffee houses, restaurants and bars. There are three large hospital systems as well as Cook's children hospital all within a few miles. With its busy sidewalks, neighborhood library, community garden and park it is hard not to make friends! On nice evenings neighbors congregate on porches to watch kids play and enjoy a glass of wine.
