Awesome little cabin right on the riverfront, walking distance to downtown. We were able to launch our kayaks right from the dock, even though the river was low .we saw ducks a mink and two coyotes on the riverbank.

Wonderful little cabin, cozy and clean. Plenty of books and games if there is inclement weather. Lots of kitchen equipment and dishes. Chairs and a small table by the dock. Beautifully decorated with a definate adirondack cabin feel. Perfect base camp for hiking, biking and paddling.

Old Forge Gem

Had a fantastic stay at this great little cabin on the Moose River but within walking distance to everything in Old Forge. Cozy, quaint, rustic, and beautiful!!

Awesome Little Cabin!

This was an amazing cabin and owner. Couldn’t ask for a better location. It’s a perfect location walkable to Old Forge shops and stores yet tucked away enough to be your own quiet little oasis. The owner is amazing and provided great communication! Highly recommend!

End of summer trip

Always enjoy the quaint lil cabin on the Moose River in Old Forge. Such a peaceful place and close to everything in town with a short walk. The weather was complimentary this trip and close to a full moon. We even had a boat ride on the Fulton chain with our family as they couldn’t resist stopping by the park and picking us up. We had a nice lunch at Daiker’s on 4th lake with the family. Super trip.This is our third time there.

Beautiful cottage in a great location!

This place was beautiful, charming and the location could not be better. It’s right on the moose river and very quiet but also a very short walk from the neighborhood into the town for anything you may want. The amenities were everything we needed, we were able to buy groceries and cook with ease which we very much appreciated. The owners are friendly and gracious hosts and the communication was great. My wife and I had a wonderful time! 10/10

Great location. Placed on the river. Very cozy cabin, great Adirondack vibe. Situated a block away from the Main Street in Old Forge. Good grocery store around the corner. Amazing spot for getaway with special some one in your life

Spring getaway

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the cabin. We enjoyed the gas fireplace to take the morning chill off. Location was lovely on the river. We got to watch the ducks, their babies and other wildlife. Paddling was lovely, fire pit and Adirondack chairs perfect. Property was described accurately.

Cozy Waterfront Close to Shops

Very nice cozy cottage right on the river and only a block away from Main St in Old Forge. Nicely decorated and just enough space for a couple. We visited mid-week in Sept and it was very quiet. Almost no one around except the occasional kayaker coming up the river. Access from the parking area is a few yards downhill, but certainly not a big inconvenience. Great location for both quiet and access to downtown. The cabin is somewhat rustic, but clean & tidy with a pleasant ambience.

So cozy

A beautiful, relaxing vacation surrounded by gorgeous trees, river, and nature. The owners have thought of everything you would need during your stay. We booked for 2024 before we even left loved it so much. My sister and her husband booked the week after us. Just by the photos truly show the detail and beauty of the inside of cabin. We thank the owners.

A wonderful Adirondack Experience

This is such a great place to stay in Old Forge. Easy walk to downtown, but you also get a sense of remoteness as you are right on the river. Chalet is small but that is all we needed. Saw some notes in other reviews about the walk down, but it really was not an issue. Thank you Claire and hope to be back again,

UNLOADING AND LOADING IS A REAL CHORE VERY INCONVENIENT ACCESS TO PROPERTY. PARKING AREA IS A LONG WAY FROM THE CABIN. I LEFT AFTER 2 NIGHTS, EVEN THOUGH I RENTED FOR A WEEK.

Great experience

The beds are feather bedding, with no way to be pushed together. However, it has very kind owners, amazing art, the perfect location in town, georgeous view of the lake, multiple places to relax in nature around the cabin, and gives you a good taste of Old Forge.

ADK Storybook Cabin

The cabin (more like a cottage) was great. It was much more than we expected. We were in walking distance of almost everything in Old Forge yet felt like we were out in the woods. The property and cabin are very well kept. The porch that facing the river is screened with a nice ADK style breakfast nook. We were able to keep our kayaks right at the dock and take a paddle in the river any time of the day. Very relaxing spot. The host was very nice and communicated everything very well. We plan to stay again.

Had a Fantastic Time at the Sci Sci Cabin

Exactly what the doctor ordered with the perfect location on the Moose River for kayaking from a private dock and easy access close to the cabin. Just close enough to walk to and from downtown Old Forge, kayak to Thendara, and enjoy the coffee and walk through the Old Forge Hardware. The grocery store in town is within walking distance as well. The Sci Sci Cabin was organized and cozy, especially when it snowed our first morning there. Claire was very helpful with the information prior to our arrival. We also were in awe about Claire's artistic work throughout the cabin. We had a blast in Old Forge for our 5-year anniversary weekend and looking forward to our next adventure at the Sci Sci Cabin. -Brian and Holly-

Beautiful Old Forge

Third stay for me at this peaceful little cabin on the Moose river. I just love the area and this past weekend was beautiful weather. Trees are just turning a bit. Lots going on in the village with Fire school show. Fun stay at Sci Sci cabin.

Cozy cabin

This place made me smile as soon as I walked in. The attention to detail was top notch. Loved sitting on the back porch enjoying the river view. A very peaceful retreat that we would love to experience again.

Very Quiet Getaway

Exactly what we hoped for. Very quaint cabin. Very quiet surroundings. Peaceful. Moose river right there. We kayaked. Hiked Bald Mtn. Bicycled on a bike trail in town. We got to meet the hosts as they were in town. Very nice and gracious people. Definitely recommend for a couple looking for peace and quiet.

Perfect getaway!

Exactly as described. Perfect for couple looking for quiet retreat. Was able to launch Kayaks from private dock - spent hours up and down the Moose River, absolutely beautiful. Wife and I walked to a perfect little breakfast spot few blocks away. Perfect location! Owners were great! Super helpful, friendly! Great people. Highly recommended!! Plan to return for sure!

the house was very clean and organized, so close to the river - we spent all the time outside The owners were very nice and responded to our needs immediately. I would highly recommend this property!
