The spacious living area features a cozy stone fireplace perfect for those chilly fall evenings. Large picture windows bring the outdoors in with peaceful views of the forest from every space.

Fire up the grill for a cook-out or take advantage of the large, fully stocked kitchen updated with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Don’t feel like cooking? Make a reservation at the award-winning Canyon Grill just a mile down the road.

Roast s’mores by the fire pit and bundle up with a cozy quilt for a night of stargazing on the deck. In the morning, pack a picnic and drive just 2 miles to explore the many hiking trails and breathtaking views Cloudland Canyon has to offer. Don’t miss lunch at the famous Wildflower Cafe just 30 minutes away in Mentone, AL for a dining experience you’ll never forget!

Our family of seven, three generations, had a lovely Christmas celebration at the cozy cabin. The space was a perfect fit. Our youngest couple used the third floor, our family of four used the master suite plus a bedroom on the second floor and grandmother had a room on the first floor. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped. The living and dining spaces were beautiful and comfortable. We enjoyed the deck and fire pit. Driving time to Ruby Falls, Rock City and Chattanooga was less than an hour. Nearby Cloudland Canyon provided excellent and scenic hiking/running trails. We hope to visit again.

Memorial Weekend Getaway

Great location, just down the street from Cloudland Canyon and only 20 minutes from Chattanooga. The house is great, everything was clean and well organized. We had no problems at all and our stay was great!

A lovely house to gather in

The details about this house were very accurate. It was a lovely place for the three of us to gather. Each had their own room, their own bath, and a fantastic living room and kitchen to gather in. Great communications, everything worked (a rarity), and the location was perfect.

Golf Getaway

This cabin was the perfect location for our golf weekend at McLemore and Barnsley. Large and roomy, this property is set on a quiet lane and still close to several local restaurants. A very good choice for a peaceful time away from the city.

Amazing place

We loved the house the minute we drove down the driveway. The location was perfect for us to stay near Chattanooga but tucked away in nature. House was clean and stocked up with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Easy check in and easy check out. Will stay again.

Nice quiet home feel

House was clean and kitchen well stocked with cooking utensils. Very close to cloudland canyon state park and 20 minute drive to crockford pigeon mountain wildlife management area. Lots of great hiking and caving to be done in the area.

Family Holiday Gathering

Our family enjoyed the house very much. It is a beautiful house and the owner included holiday decorations that added to our holiday enjoyment. We enjoyed both Christmas eve and Christmas day dinners with a mix of family, some traveling as far away as New Mexico. The house has a nice long dining table that made our stay super enjoyable. The kitchen was well stocked and made meal prep easy. The property is lovely with some fun surprises that I won't give away but urge guests to explore. The owner was very helpful and thoughtful. I highly recommend this property.

Wonderful hiking weekend

i reserved this home for myself and 4 of my girlfriends. The large living room and dining area were great for hanging out. We could all be in the kitchen at the same time. Enough beds and baths. Perfect location, close to Cloudland Canyon and two great eating establishments. I would definitely go back.

Daughter's Wedding

It was a great place for my family to stay. We all had our own space and there is plenty of space in the living areas for us all to be together comfortably. Only suggestion I have is that there were not any instructions on how to use the fire place.

Family Trip 2023

Everything was great! We loved the location! Close enough to Chattanooga for a day trip and yet far enough away for a quiet relaxing evening. I would recommend putting another light near the fire pit as well as a small table to hold the makings for s’mores. We highly recommend this cabin! We throughly enjoyed our stay!

Our family enjoyed our mini vacation at Hemlock Haven. The home is very clean and the host was very nice and accommodating. Minutes from Cloudland Canyon park.

Wedding

Thank you for hosting us! Perfect location! We were here for the weekend for wedding festivities. Rehearsal dinner at Mclemore. Minutes to Cloudland canyon where our son was married at the overlook and reception in the evening at the group shelter. We made many trips back and forth the park for preparation. This house was ideal! Well stocked kitchen. Every kitchen item available. The layout of the home allowed some folks to nap and others to lay games without disturbing each other. We enjoyed a fire on Saturday nite. My husband and I extended our stay so that we could hike and unwind after the weekend. We certainly look forward to returning.

Highly recommended home

We had a wonderful stay at this spacious home and it is located perfectly near Cloud Canyon and close to Chattanooga. Would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Rising Fawn.
