The Villa Farmhouse has been beautifully & stylishly rebuilt with traditional features of terracotta tiles and chestnut beams. ELECTRIC FANS IN EACH BEDROOM. Plus under floor heating & open fireplace for spring or autumn get-aways. Sleeps 8 with 4 bedrooms/4 bathrooms. Extremely well-equipped kitchen for cookery demonstrations/food lovers. Just a few steps leading up to our favourite summer room - with fold back doors for that 'Al fresco' feeling for pre-dinner drinks or a relaxing afternoon siesta or admiring the stunning views! Fully functional pizza oven & BBQ; Lovely garden grass area with sun loungers & salt water pool 12 x 6m. Perfect location close to PISA airport (45 mins.), & 1/2 hr. from beach at Viareggio.

Wonderful

We had a wonderful stay. Property is great. Donatella is the highlight of the property. From the day we checked in she was so welcoming and helpful. She hosted a pizza night and dinner and both were amazing.

Incredible week at the Farmhouse Villa

We spent a fabulous week at the Farmhouse Villa with 2 other couples, it was amazing The owners made the booking process very easy and made us feel at ease throughout he process. The villa and the grounds are maintained to a vey high standard, the rooms are spacious and well laid out. The pool area and patio are very beautiful with amazing views and tiered olive trees The Villa is close to Pizza, Florence, Lucca and Cinque Terre, we visited all during our stay. Donatella and her daughter cooked for us every night and the food was better than any restaurant and the great thing was that we never had to leave the Villa. Donatella has a charming personality and we quickly became friends and look forward to seeing her again. The property is even better than the pictures which is rarely the case. Villa is mooi ingeplant dicht bij lucca. Goed uitgerust en netjes afgewerkt, mooi zwembad. Echter, WiFi werkte niet bij aankomst en werd niet opgelost. Elektriciteit uitgevallen en werd niet verholpen. Hierdoor dag vroeger vertrokken. Ondanks contact met de eigenares hierin ook geen spontane compensatie. Jammer voor zulke overdreven prijszetting.

Beautiful villa!

We felt fortunate to stay at the beautiful Pianella farmhouse villa for a week. The views were incredible and the atmosphere so serene and relaxing. The villa itself is quite spacious and we appreciated having a bathroom for each bedroom. The pool area was our favorite and had plenty of pools and umbrellas to take cover under. Even without AC the home usually stayed cool enough with the use of the many fans provided. The kitchen was well equipped, having everything you needed for cooking meals at home. Donatella cooked one night for us and the meal was quite large and included many of the rich local dishes. She was also readily available for help if needed - such as driving us into town for groceries. We weren't comfortable driving ourselves up the twisty narrow road so this was especially appreciated! We used Andrea's driving service for trips into the hill towns, the Chianti wine region and to Cinque Terre. They had safe and helpful drivers. Overall a heavenly place to spend a week or more!

An amazing house in a fantastic location!

We have had the pleasure of spending 14 wonderful days in Tuscany with the farmhouse as a base. The house had all the amenities one could wish for , a fantastic pool area , and not least a splendid view of the beautiful valley . In addition, very friendly reception from the owners. The house keeper Donatella cooked on the spot that was amazing . We can really recommend this place and will happily return again.

A Lovely Sojourn in Tuscany

After negotiating the road up to the Farmhouse, we felt entirely relaxed and cared for during our 7 night stay by the excellent caretakers Valeria and her husband. The home is spotless with a well-stocked kitchen and modern bathrooms; yet it retains its historic character beautifully. We all LOVED the salt water pool and enjoyed a dip after a day's sightseeing in nearby Lucca, Pisa, San Gimniano, Siena and Florence. We enjoyed three dinners prepared for us by the amazing Donatella and her daughter, Sonya - a real treat with Tuscan specialties. The house commands a lovely view over the valley which we enjoyed every day; truly a memorable and happy time together.

Beautiful home and wonderful time with family

Our family (2 adults, 4 children ages 8-13) spent a wonderful week at the La Pianella Farmhouse this summer. We would highly recommend this rental. The house, pool and surrounding grounds were beautiful, exceptionally clean and well maintained. Mary Ann and Clare were wonderful in helping us arrange our visits (this was our second visit) and checking on us during our stay. Valleria also checked on us regularly and helped us with any question or concern. The views of the beautiful grounds and surrounding areas are magnificent (from both inside the house and the outside seating areas). We all enjoyed swimming and relaxing by the beautiful pool. The inside of the house was lovely--so clean, beautiful and comfortable. We loved our days relaxing at the villa. We also enjoyed several daytrips to Lucca, Pisa, Florence and the beach. We were very fortunate to have Sonia cook for us during our stay. We are very thankful to Sonia for her wonderful cooking and kindness to our family. Thank you Mary Ann and Clare for sharing your beautiful home in Tuscany. We would love to come stay again!

We have recently returned from a fabulous week at La Pianella farmhouse. Our initial trepidation at the narrow steep road to the house was quickly replaced by amazement at the house, grounds and views. The farmhouse had everything and more that we needed and catered excellently for our party of 4 couples, especially as each room had lovely views and a private bathroom. The house is beautifully decorated and furnished to a high quality and it has a lovely salt water pool. There is a very well stocked supermarket in the village which was very handy. It was lovely to meet the owners and their friends whilst we were there and they helped make our stay a memorable one. Mary Ann showed us around the larger villa which is also very well furnished and is ideal for a large gathering. Valeria, Enzo and Donatella, the property managers were very welcoming and made us feel comfortable and at home and were available if we needed anything. The property is ideal for visiting Lucca and the coast which are a short car journey away. It was easy to take the train from Lucca to Pisa and Florence and to venture further afield into the heart of Tuscany by car. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay as it ticked all the boxes and more. We would have no hesitation in recommending the villa to anyone. It is a truly wonderful place- thanks! A very happy holiday in beautiful surroundings

We had a very pleasant stay at this lovely farmhouse it was clean and well presented and has amazing views and offers peace and tranquility. With car hire it is ideally located for visiting places such as lucca pisa florence viareggio barga and many more. The pool is of good size, and all around you are those amazing views. The owner was very nice and made you feel welcome and if you have any questions about where to travel to or what restaurants to go to they were happy to help. We would highly recommend this property to friends.

A perfect holiday home

We stayed at the Farm House of La Pianella for three weeks in August 2010. Having ample experience with renting houses in the summer we can honestly say that we have never stayed in a property that was better equipped and presented. We immediately felt at home in a house that by design and lay-out can easily take eight and also is comfortable when you want to stay home on a rainy day. The property has lovely views, and is generously proportioned throughout. The kitchen has everything a keen cook would be looking for, the top sitting room with its lovely views is absolutely amazing and all bed rooms, with their own bathrooms, are very comfortable. The owners have clearly invested in quality and comfort. The Farm House offers privacy and is ideally located. Lucca is close by and Viarreggio and Pisa are within easy reach. Want to visit Florence? Take the train from Lucca. Comfortable and there is a regular service.
