Parson Lodge #5 - The Robin Room

The Robin Room features 2 Queen Beds, a full bathroom with shower (no tub). The Robin room is private for its guests and has a locked door with a personalized code. Linens and amenities are provided for guest comfort. A shared sauna space is available for guest use, perfect for apres ski relaxation!
The Robin Room is part of the Parson Lodge which has 5 cozy rooms. All rooms have access to the shared dining space on the main level, and the sauna on the bottom floor! Please note there is no kitchen for all rooms within the Parson Lodge, but continental breakfast is provided in the main dining area from 7-9am daily.
Please ensure you have 4WD or AWD with winter tires! Our driveway can be snowy and slippery!

I’ve used Vrbo for over 25 years. This has been the very worst. I kept sending messages about check in with no response. We finally arrived but no one was there. We called the numbers by the door with no response. We finally were able to talk to a ground keeper who told us how to get in. This was after a lot of frustration and panic. The beds were awful and the pillows old and flat. The bed did not even come with a top sheet. The breakfast was awful. We ended up going into town for breakfast. It looked cute in the pictures so we were sad to be so disappointed. FYI this is my very first bad review I have ever shared.

Beautiful views and plenty of hiking nearby. I will say, communication is a bit lacking, messaging on the VRBO message system is pretty much useless, tried contacting via the messaging multiple times and never got a response. When we called directly for the code to the room we got an answer right away to which we were told a code is usually emailed but we could have the code sent via text message. Using the key code was a bit finicky because you have to really push some of the buttons in order for them to register properly. We tried the code about 6 times before realizing you have to press the buttons firmly until you feel and hear the click. It was late in the evening when we arrived, I would recommend getting there earlier in the day for check in, so you can have someone there to help get settled in. The sauna was nice, but there was no hot water for showering after the sauna, spoke with another couple and they said there was warm water last night, but only cold water in the morning. The breakfast is fine, just a basic cold breakfast : cereal, milk, coffee, tea, bread, butter, jam, various fruit, some juices and yogurts. Nice quiet place, away from the highway and close enough to Golden (20-30min drive).

Leider haben wir keine Infos zum Check in bekommen, sodass wir spät abends vor verschlossenen Türen standen. Wir hatten vorab extra angerufen, der Code wurde uns aber leider trotzdem nicht mitgeteilt. Das Zimmer war zweckmäßig, sehr geräumig aber sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Frühstück war überschaubar aber in Ordnung. Der Teppich war voller Flecken…
