Enjoyable stay

The condo had a straight view of the beach which was beautiful. The balcony was a great location to sit and watch the storms pass over the beach. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals, the laundry in the unit was amazing. Great views, nice room, lots of parking and good company from the others staying with in the other units.

My overall stay was good

I liked my location of the place. It had a nice view. The pool was a nice edition as the ocean was a bit salty for my kids. The private access to the beach made our stay enjoyable and relaxing. Very good restaurants for dinner nearby. Would recommend Bonefish Grill and Ramando's Italian Grill as nearby dinner options. However it could have been more cleaner.

The location is premium--just a few steps to miles of clean, white beach and ocean. Not too crowded when we went. This unit has oceanfront views, couldn't ask for much better. The complex included a pool as well, so it was everything we were looking for. Highly recommend.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Anchorage I unit A02 was a GREAT location! VERY limited supplies some of which I was aware of in check-in materials but some not. Example: Not a square of TP when we arrived. Although it clearly stated there was a "starter" shampoo and soap neglected to mention no TP. 1 dishwasher pack, even though you are responsible for leaving the condo at check out with ALL the dishes washed and put away, no trash bags in kitchen can, but ALL trash must be removed prior to check out and similar short cuts. No Beach Towels. Chairs were reported available but there were only 3 and one was broken. We added 2 more chairs and 4 beach towels washed folded and ready to go for the next guest in the "beach closet". There is ABSOLUTELY NO luggage storage available. The management was not at all helpful and just said it was my problem. We had a 7pm flight and had to rent a car for 1 day to have a place for our bags after 10am check out and 5pm drive to airport.We rented a golf cart instead of a car for the week. Highly recommend doing that if you only need to go to the store and dinner at night. Condo was dated but did the trick. AC worked great but clothes dryer not very well. High maintenance check out requirements and no beach towels bugged me.

Amy, Thank you for your email. I'm so surprised to hear you didn't have a good experience staying at the Anchorage. I had spoken to your husband about the golf cart and helped him by making an exception and not having it towed. I know for sure I didn't tell you it was your problem to have to deal with your luggage but did let you know we do not occupy any office space to store luggage safely for you. I'm also sorry you were upset about us not providing beach towels. Some owners use to do this but found guest took them home and they wouldn't last one season. We truly are sorry you didn't enjoy your stay at the Anchorage. Anchorage Rentals

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great spot in Myrtle Beach. Having only 4 stories, this spot isn't as crowded as some high-rise condos. Access to the pool and beach was convenient and easy. Our unit was well stocked and had everything we needed - except for a fan. This unit had no ceiling fans and it caused the humidity to be a bit stifling. A box fan would have been nice. Our only other issue was the first group of "neighbors" above us. They were very heavy footed and up at all hours. After they left, it was much better. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

We liked the fact that you enter the unit from outside, no inside hallway. The kitchen was very well equipped. Since we didn't want to go to a restaurant, I did a lot of cooking. With a little bit of hunting around, I found all the equipment I needed.

The view of the beach was perfect, the interior of the condo was tastefully decorated and very clean, The pool was clean, the renters and owners that we met were all very friendly. The walk to the beach was very short and well-maintained. There We’re only a couple of negatives to our stay, and they were minor. The biggest problem we had was the sliding glass door to the porch was very hard to open. it did not slide open easily. We also had some problems with the clothes washer and we had to call the management company. We had to leave a message because it was after hours. We are thinking about coming back again next year and if we do, we would be interested in the same condo.

We saw some dolphins which was a real treat. Collected lots of shells. We’ve stayed in this complex before, and this one is exceptionally nice. Only problem was sliding door needs a bit of a fix- hard to open, but overall, well decorated and clean. Everything you think you might need at your fingertips!

Great location. This unit was very nice and the kitchen had quite a nice selection of utensils, etc. However, this is the second time we arrived and had a problem with our original rental. The property management team moved us to this unit but we are beginning to wonder about units not being cleaned and ready as promised. During December I am sure they have some flexibility but not sure what would happen at peak times.
