Nicely decorated. Close to shopping, restaurants, Planet Fitness and church. Had a small issue and was resolved ASAP by maintenance. Will stay again.

Location was nice

Unit was listed as sleeps 6. The couches were not sleeper sofas, would not be able to sleep 6 full size individuals. Luckily our 6 and 8 year old fit on the couches. Extremely musty smell throughout the unit. In desperate need of updating. Very noisy building. Walls are very thin. Complained to management about the people upstairs being extremely noisy very late at night but the noise continued .

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our extended family has been coming to the Anchorage II for well over 25 years. This year there were 57 of us all staying at the Anchorage II. For us it is perfect. Compared to most my relatives condos this one was very dated, way overdue for some upgrades. We are there to spend time on the beach and with family. It still would be nice to come home to an updated condo at the end of the day. It was clean and had everything that we needed. The unit was right next to the stairwell which meant we could hear everyone going up and down the stairs, particularly in the master bedroom. The management company was very quick to respond to the few questions that we had. In the end, we still had a great vacation, after all, we are at the beach.

A golden get away.

Over all it was a great property and place to stay. It reminded us of the Golden Girls, which we LOVED every bit of it! VERY clean. We loved the newly renovated bathroom. We were able to put our baby's pack-n-play in the laundry room so that she had a separate room. All the rooms were well furnished and straight forward as to be expected. Nothing was broken or missing. Very enjoyable. There were grocery carts available to help with moving luggage, which was nice to have. We were a little hesitant about the provided beach chairs/gear, but it ended up good. It was great to have the beach gear storage, so that we didn't have to worry about pulling that up the room. It would have been nice to have seen pictures and list what was provided. Our biggest compliant would be there were 6 forks and a dozen tea spoons, a dozen table spoons, a dozen soup spoons. a dozen butter knives. Why so many spoons and so few forks? Not really anything to complain about, just thought it was odd. In the end, we've already started saving up to come back next year.

2022 Vacation

I do wish all the condos had tile flooring rather than carpet. Our location this year had dirty carpet. Other than the carpet needing cleaned we had a great week.

A Lovely Place to Vacation

This is a lovely property in a largely residential neighborhood. The description of the unit was accurate. It was well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable break. Every unit has a great view of the beach and this united provided beach chairs and other beach items. I highly recommend.

Condos need to be a little more set up for rentals

It was OK this year but too many condos have knickknacks all over and there is no space to put your own stuff plus I worry about kids breaking something. In this particular condo (II-216), the owners have kept a lot of space for their own use. The pantry has been converted to a locked cabinet with no room to store groceries. A bedroom closet has a big table in it that has a sign not to use it but it takes up the entire closet. The hall closet near the front door is locked for owner use but we of course could not put anything in there ourselves. I understand one small cupboard or something locked to store owner gear but this was way too much. Every horizontal surface was full of tchotchke. We had to move tables out of the way to have clear walking paths. These places should be a little bit like hotel rooms with room for the occupants to enjoy them rather than worrying about braking something. If we come back, I won't be renting this condo. Last year we switched condos because there was too much "stuff" in it one but this was worse with the locked storage spaces. Also, I was not a fan of your new check-in process. I didn't get the e-mail, the staff in the old office were not at all helpful and told me to "read your e-mail." I miss the old office. Pool was great, there were more hotel type trollies to get moved in, the weather was super. Just tell owners to give renters some more space by clearing out the trinkets everywhere and not keep so much storage space for themselves.

The property location was very good. However, the property needs a major renovation .

This was our first time using Vrbo and will be our last. The property is in need of a renovation. The condo has a musky smell and the carpets and floors were dirty and stained. The furniture is old, stained and needs to be replaced. The shower in the master bath was dirty (walls and corners of the shower need scrubbing) and the bed was like sleeping on a cement slab. Our bodies are still aching from sleeping on that bed for a week. We definitely paid way too much for that condo. When we arrived there were only 3 rolls of toilet paper for 2 bathrooms to share. We were expected to pull the sheets off the beds when we left and we paid a cleaning fee. That should have been done by the cleaning staff not us. The beds did not have protective mattress covers and the master bed had a big urine stain on it when I removed the sheets. It was very hot sleeping at night and we could not adjust the thermostat because it was set by the owner. With the price that we paid for this unit, we should have been able to adjust the temperature to our liking. The condo also only supplied us with 4 bath towel sets and there were 5 of us. Luckily, I always travel with my own bath towels. Lastly, the front door to the condo was difficult to open and very old, had a hole near the door knob that looked like someone tried to break in. We could have stayed in a very nice hotel for the price we paid Vrbo. Lesson learned. We will never use this service again.

4th of July week at Anchorage II, condo 216

We just returned from our week long stay at Anchorage II, room 216. We had a great vacation. We really liked the property due to the small size of the property (58 units total?) and the location to the beach. The property is setup in a U shape with every room balcony overlooking the courtyard area (with the pool) and at least a good partial view of the beach. The room was in great condition and everything worked as expected. My only negative would be the large number of nicknack decorations everywhere in the condo. I'm sure this is the owner's taste and they deserve that as the owners. I felt like there was a constant watch out to make sure we didn't knock this or that knicknack off of the numerous shelves, desks, tables, etc. Other than that the condo was great and well furnished. The unit includes an outdoor storage locker that contained beach chairs and some beach equipment to use. We did not use any as we had brought our own but would have had we not brought. The lock on the unit was rusted beyond repair in the open position but it appeared that nothing gets stolen at this property anyway. I saw several people leave items outside their doors every day without any issues. The location of the property is in a nice spot as it is close to the top of the beach strip but yet still pretty quiet. MB has about everything under the sun to do as far as activity so not a shortage. The beach was very nice and very large. The waves were pretty stiff and that made ocean time a little tough. Worth noting is the policy of no canopies or tents on the beach (umbrellas only). I wish I had known this before I bought a beach tent for the trip but apparently it is a rule. The lifeguard on the beach rents an umbrella and 2 chairs for $40 per day but go to the Eagle beach supply and buy an umbrella for $45 instead. Again a geat trip at a great location.
