On the strip but away from the chaos

Family from Texas visited for a day. Grandchildren (toddlers) had a wonderful day at the beach. We will definitely request this property when in the area again

My family and I enjoyed our stay in Myrtle Beach. The condo we stayed in was so convenient and it was walking distance from the beach. The condo was very nice, spacious, and clean. I will definitely recommend this condo.

What an amazing and conveinient Condo!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I stayed at this Condo for 3 nights with a family of 4 and it was the perfect stay! The location was not too far from the main boardwalk and from a local grocery store. The beach was private to the condo owners as well so that was nice and not too busy. The condo itself was very nicely renovated and had updated appliances. My family and I all loved the spot and will for sure make a return in the future! The only thing I would say that was a negative about this location was that the room we stayed in had a door that was very hard to open and required a hard forceful push everytime or a pull and it isn't something older folks would be able to open.

Amazing location steps from the beach in a very safe and scenic area of Myrtle Beach. Unit was very clean, but a little run-down and dated (slider doors and screens were problematic...and bathrooms were a little dated). Still knowing this, we would definitely stay again. - Steve

Absolutely 1st rate room and location

Very easy, we got exactly what was on the website. No surprises. Tip: Do get vacation insurance. We lost out on three full days because of a death in the family. I did ask for some type of compensation, but because I did not purchase ins. We lost out.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit is starting to look tired. The walls need painting and the furniture is dirty and smells musty. It was not very clean when we checked it. There was dirt on the floors and a pair of underwear in the washing machine. The view is what led us to rent this unit. We had a couple of issues that were reported to the office and they were taken care of in a timely fashion. I have never had an issue with the management company. They have been very helpful. We will stay at Anchorage 1 again but will be looking for a different unit.

Don't Bank on an Open Pool

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was amazing and our kids were so excited about spending a week at the beach. We received a text an hour before arriving stating the pool was closed due to a maintenance issue. The text predicted the pool would reopen Monday. The pool actually did not reopen until Friday, the day we checked out. We were there all week with three kids eagerly wanting to swim in the pool and were not able. One child was too young to swim in the ocean, so it wasn't very pleasant that the pool wasn't open to enjoy.

The condo itself was very dated and uncomfortable. The location is nice right across from the beach but unfortunately the owner and management didnt want to do anything to accommodate their guests. We got there earlier on day of check in and eventhough the unit was cleaned already, they wouldnt let us check in. We were dropped off by an uber so we had to push our suit case to a restaurant about a 1/2 mile away and waited till they would give us the code to get into the room ar 4pm. The furniture was very old and uncomfortable. The matress in the master bedroom was cheap and very uncomfortable. They gave us 2 paper thin garbage bags to make it trough the week. Also only got 2 towels per bathroom for the week. Texted management anf had to argue with to finally get some more towels. The management group is very hard to get in touch with. You have to text them to finally get a response. The remote for the main TV was broke when we got there. Maintenance guy did show up the first day when we contacted and had to get a new remote to replace the old one. But to get one, he had to get approval from owner to get a new one so didnt get one until 3 days later. Also, we were getting bit by small knarts in the condo at night. Between the owner of this comdo not putting any money into unit and management of the complex not wanting to help the customers out this place is poorly ran. The pool is nice and it has a nice location but that is it!

Nice condo in less busy area

Condo was as described. stayed 9 days and had no problems. Pool was clean and not very busy, short walk to beach. Nice beach that wasnt overly crowded. Would definitly stay again!

My favorite place to stay

No ceiling fan in bedroom and wasn't as clean as most. I'm not unhappy though by no means. I love it there and accept that some owners don't spend as much on updates as others. The showers door was very hard to open and close but again, I'm very happy and will continue to stay there every year.

This was our second year in a row visiting Myrtle Beach, and we wouldn’t choose any other location other than this condominium. The atmosphere is great, the rooms are always clean, the pool is thoroughly enjoyable, and the beach is first rate. I would highly recommend this and any other Anchorage rental to anyone of my friends.

Ocean View Locataion

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall the unit was nice and we enjoyed our week. The location is perfect, the beach isn't crowded, the pool is great, and the property is fantastic. There were a few items to note about this particular unit: there was a broken lamp in a bedroom, a toilet not working properly, both fixed quickly, a picture was off the wall on the floor in a bathroom, a wobbly chair in dining room and front door very hard to open, as well as bedroom door very hard to open - they stick. Furniture is old and shows many many years of use. Broken piece on bottom and top of dish washer. The pro's however were the view, unfortunately obstructed by a large bush so you can only see the beach from the right side of the balcony, the kitchen is remodeled and nicer equipped than other units, and the floor is great for sweeping up sand. With just a few improvements, this unit could be great and I would recommend.

We could watch the kids while we prepared meals. Close to everything and directly across the street from the ocean. Made it easy to travel between the beach and the pool. Downsides were more annoyances than anything. Vacuum cleaning didn’t work, dryer took far longer to dry than necessary and on hand items for the kitchen and beach could use some updating.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed last week in 114 and really enjoyed our stay. I rent condos every year and really liked this one. It’s a nice size condo with two beds and two baths. A beautiful ocean front view. Kitchen is a very nice size with plenty of dishes and pots and pans. I loved that it has a small pantry in the kitchen where you can store your food and snacks. Full size washer and dryer in a nice size laundry room. The condo is on the first floor so no elevator to deal with. The beach is just across the street. The beach is private and not crowded. I didn’t have to get up at the crack of dawn to get a spot because there was plenty of room. The pool is nice and wasn’t crowded at all. You could look down to the right where the high rises were and the beach was packed. They also have plenty of beach chairs, sand toys, boogie boards, noodles and a nice umbrella in the condo. The beach was also clean. The only negative I have is the door and lock is very hard to work. A couple of people in our group was able to figure it out. Hopefully that will be changed.

May 2021 - Somewhat Disappointing

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've been coming to Anchorage in Myrtle Beach for several years now. Unit #114 (A14) in Anchorage I was the least desirable of all the units we've stayed in. There were many maintenance items needing attention, such as: screen door to balcony fell out when we tried to close it; the sliding door to the balcony from the master bedroom was stuck and we were unable to use it; the kick plate on the bottom of the dishwasher fell off several times; the washing machine didn't work properly; the doors stuck and were very difficult to open and close; front door was difficult to lock; knobs in the master bathroom were stripped or something and turned the hot water on no matter which way you turned it (could not totally turn it off); temporary handles in master shower for safety kept falling off (mostly during the night); rug in dining room was a trip hazard due to the ends curling up; a few guests in pool took over and used large floats and were loud.
