Welcome to The Lookout at R½ — a 2-bedroom, top-floor retreat just a 2-minute walk from the Galveston beach. Perched above the Seawall with panoramic Gulf views, this property comes with a private 4-person hot tub and 2-person sauna — one of the few Galveston rentals where you can soak under the stars with ocean breezes after a beach day. Pet friendly. Sleeps up to 5 guests.

THE SPACE — LIVING AREA & KITCHEN
The open-concept living area is bright and airy, with large windows and a comfortable sofa that converts to a sleeper for extra guests. The fully stocked kitchen includes a full-size refrigerator, oven, microwave, stove, and Keurig coffee maker — everything you need for quick beach-day snacks or a full group meal. Dining area just off the kitchen.

THE SPACE — BEDROOMS & BATHROOM
Both bedrooms feature queen beds, ceiling fans, closets, and windows with views toward Pleasure Pier — especially striking at night when the lights come on. The full bathroom features a rain-head shower.

THE SPACE — OUTSIDE
The wraparound top-floor deck is the centerpiece — panoramic views of the Gulf, Pleasure Pier, and the Galveston skyline. The courtyard below features a 4-person hot tub, 2-person sauna, multiple seating areas, and a well-lit concrete paver patio. Perfect for morning coffee or soaking under the stars after the beach.

At 3127 Avenue R½ on the Galveston Seawall — 2-minute walk to beach access. Cruise terminals 10 minutes away — ideal for pre/post-cruise stays. Approximately 50–60 minutes from Houston via I-45 South. Scholes International Airport (GLS) just 4 minutes away.

This was my first vacation in a few years, and I was so glad to have booked here!Everything was exactly as described, sitting on the wrap around in the morning and evening was the perfect start and finish to my day!The hosts were extremely responsive before and during, everything was set up, clean and so comfortable!I cannot express how perfect this house is, I will definitely be coming back!Thank you so much!

The date and I had an amazing time. Hot Tub, sauna. Clean and welcoming! Hope anyone who stays here has an equal good time. Walking distance from everywhere. Uber is easy for late nights. Would absolutely order this place again. 1 minute walk to the beach. Half minute to alcohol is you need. Hot tub on point!! 5 out of 5 place!

We had a great stay at this condo in Galveston. The location was excellent—very convenient to the beach, restaurants, and everything we wanted to do while in town.The condo was clean, well kept, and exactly as described. Everything was ready when we arrived, and the space was comfortable for our stay. The kitchen was stocked well enough for basic meals, and there were plenty of towels and essentials.Communication was smooth and easy throughout the process, which made everything simple from check-in to check-out.Overall, it was a great experience and we would definitely stay here again.Justin

Great Time with a great location

Came to Galveston for a soccer beach tournament. We like to travel with our dog and it was a long search finding a place that welcomed him. This was the place! Not only was it really nice but it was a great location. We were able to walk to a lot of the nearby places. Would definitely recommend to others and look forward to booking it again in the future.

Clean accommodations and great location. We had a wonderful time staying here. Could use a few more kitchen cooking/serving items, and one of the beds could be just a bit more comfy- but that's just my opinion and others may feel differently. The soaps and other staple items that were in the kitchen and bathroom were a lifesaver when we first arrived, since we weren't able to make it to the stores before they closed the first night there. Overall we had no problems and would definitely recommend others to stay here. It is quiet for being so near the seawall, and is beautiful inside and out. The wrap around porch was probably our favorite part of this place, and we spent a lot of time chilling on the outdoor furniture wishing that we lived there. The addition of a small grill outside would be great!

The Lookout at R½ stood out to us because the combination — rooftop-style wraparound deck, private hot tub, and sauna — is almost impossible to find at this price point in Galveston. Most rentals have a deck or a hot tub. Rarely both, and almost never a sauna on top of that.

I've seen guests arrive from a long drive, change straight into swimsuits, and spend the first hour in the hot tub watching the Gulf with a drink in hand before they've even unpacked. That first moment on the deck — the views, the breeze, the hot tub — it sets the whole tone for the stay.
