Hi Emma, Thank you for your feedback. I’m really sorry to hear that your stay didn’t meet your expectations. We’re still quite new to hosting, and every guest experience teaches us something new. Your comments have helped us reflect and improve. This is our family home, and we prepare it with a lot of care and love before each stay. When we described it as “our home,” it was meant to be transparent, to share that it’s a privately owned, lived-in space with warmth and personality, not a hotel-style rental. I now realise that this may have led to a misunderstanding for some, and I’ve since updated the listing to make everything much clearer. It’s also worth noting that many holiday rentals today are private homes, and platforms like Stayz and Vrbo are designed with that in mind. For safety and privacy reasons, we don’t share every detail publicly, but we’re always happy to answer any questions before you book. We’ve taken the feedback on board and are making changes where needed. Most of our guests have loved the stocked fridge and pantry, comfort, character, and welcoming feel of the space—and I’m committed to offering a positive, relaxing stay for everyone who visits.
