Find another condo at Kamaole Sands
The Kamaole Sands was wonderful - it's clean, quiet, dedicated parking space. Pool, hot tub, and workout room are great. Location is perfect in Kihei.
This condo, however, was not as listed:
* The air conditioners are wall-units with a 60 minute TIMER. You have to reset it by hand, which means waking up every hour if you want the bedroom not 100-degrees.
* The wifi did not work.
* The hair dryer did not work. I had to buy one.
* The amenities are chincy. Tiny 1.5ounce bottle of Dawn. One-load of washer detergent. I had to buy more of both.
* Kitchen is not stocked. I had to buy salt, pepper, olive oil, basic condiments, seran wrap and tin foil.
* The safe is tiny, won't fit an iPad or laptop.
* The entryway to the bathrooms are VERY narrow. If you are overweight or disabled, you will not fit. The bedroom bathroom smelled like mold - no ventilation.
* The bedroom felt like a Motel 6. The bed is VERY old and lumpy. Air con in the wall. The window blinds are BROKEN. And people can see right in. I slept on the couch cushions on the living room floor it was so bad.
I have never felt so unwelcome in a rental space.
The other condo we rented was refurbished. New beds. Heat pump aircon was quiet as a mouse. Kitchen came with all the condiments and other needs, dish soap, laundry detergent, and a welcome note with local cookies and a bag of local coffee.
Stay at the Kamaole Sands, just not this rental.

Location and property excellent
Kamaole Sands is a large well kept property directly across from Kamaole Beach III. It has sprawling grounds with barbecues, tennis courts and more than adequate pool area with two hot tubs. Restaurants are just down the street - recommend trying Da Kitchen and Kihei Cafe for local dishes.
Our one bedroom unit had two bathrooms and a spacious lanai overlooking the grounds, not the ocean view. Unfortunately the cable TV did not work and the sleeper sofa was a torture instrument- reason for only three stars. This would be a perfect spot for families with small children, room to play and plenty to do nearby. The facility was 100% occupied during our mid February visit so plan in advance. Weather was a challenge for a few days but you can't beat Kihei for location.
