Welcome to the Hillside A-Frame with stunning Hill Country views! A cozy home nestled on a hill just south of the beautiful Canyon Lake.

Perfectly located just a few minutes from several Canyon Lake access points, less than 10 minutes from the Guadalupe River horseshoe and Whitewater Amphitheater. Our home plus the location makes for a relaxing and memorable vacation!

The space
The property includes a large front deck & upstairs side balcony both with patio chairs and tables, a propane fire table, cornhole, indoor board/card games, books to read, free wifi, 3 smart TVs - one in each bedroom, a fully stocked kitchen, and amenities equipped for each room so that your stay is as comfortable as possible! There are also deer that frequent the property so you'll most likely make friends as they stroll around during your stay!

Sleeps 6 guests total (1 king bed, 1 queen bed, 1 sleeper sofa with mattress topper for extra comfort)

As you enter through the back door, you’re welcomed to an open-concept living area with high ceilings and large windows that frame breathtaking hill country views.

On the bottom floor you have the kitchen, living, and dining area, one bedroom towards the back left of the home and a bathroom across the hall, the laundry room, and the host storage room (the only room locked for guests) beside the stairs.

The kitchen is fully equipped with beautiful appliances including a stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher. The smaller appliances include a blender, toaster, coffee maker, Keurig, and an electric kettle. The kitchen also contains pots and pans, cooking utensils, bakeware, and other essentials needed for dining in.

As you ascend the second floor, you will see another full bathroom and the primary bedroom with a king size bed. This room is private and connects to a little nook area that overlooks the downstairs and leads to the entrance to the side balcony. This balcony showcases beautiful views of the hills and side yard with two patio chairs and a table.

Relax on one of the spacious decks overlooking the rolling hills or gather around the conversation fire table under the starry skies.

Nearby Attractions: Canyon Lake, Guadalupe River, The Natural Bridge Caverns and Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch, several walking trails and nature centers, Whitewater Amphitheater, Wineries, and much more. Also don't miss out on nearby charming towns/cities like Gruene (15 miles, about 20 mins), Wimberly (20 miles, about 30 mins), San Marcos (24 miles, 35 mins), and New Braunfels (16 miles, about 25 mins) known for their historic sites, shopping, and dining. Austin and San Antonio are about an hour's drive away as well.

Activities: Tubing in the Guadalupe River (horseshoe tubing entrance is 4 miles down the road) / Canyon Lake activities such as boating, kayaking, swimming, fishing, paddle boarding, etc. / Hiking on one of the nearby nature trails along the hills, river, or the lake / Live music at the Whitewater Amphitheater / Visiting a local winery / Shopping, grabbing a delicious coffee, and finding good eats locally in Canyon Lake or in one of the many nearby towns or cities (there are a LOT to choose from). This location offers something for everyone anytime of the year!

For your convenience, a guest book (physical and electronic) will be provided that contains house rules, info about the house/area, and instructions on some household items and electronics.

Parking is available on-site anywhere on the driveway. (NOTE: The driveway can seem a little steep for some folks so you are more than welcome to park near the bottom as long as the street is unobstructed to allow room for cars to pass easily).

Beautiful and stunning. Location is gorgeous, quiet and peaceful. Driveway is a bit steep but the kids loved it. Backing up it makes it more fun and easier to get out. Try the pizzeria close by, very good! Very remote, Schlitterbahn is 30mins away, along with the caves and zoofari. Also, go on a night walk on the roads, the stars, moon and sky is beautiful. Also, when we stay a storm rolled through, watching the lightning while playing scrabble over the hills was absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend. The owners are very warming, prepared and VERY responsive. We enjoyed our stay, if we could give more than 5 stars we would. Thank you to the Hodges for such a welcoming home, we loved it!!!!

I'm from Tomball TX and I grew up around there and the Magnolia area. For the past few years I've been interested in building a cool vacation spot to share with other people since staying in several short term rentals myself. I love how unique every one of them are and I wanted to create something fun and unique in a beautiful location for other people to enjoy as well. I love interior decor and making a space to where it creates a feeling when you walk in. I loved stocking the home with amenities and conveniences to take away some of the stress of traveling and hope to add more over time. I hope everyone genuinely enjoys the house, the company they travel with (or themselves if solo), and the beauty around the home!

I love how peaceful it is when you're there, the starry skies at night, the nature all around, and the wildlife that visits.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The shape and interior of the home. It's a smaller home, but the angles and windows make it feel very grand when you're standing inside or out on the decks. Also the cool limestone wall bordering the backside of the property; it looks pretty cool!
