Older homes and classic New Orleans architecture can sometimes be misinterpreted as “not well cared for,” but it is a safe residential community, and many guests specifically enjoy the charm and character of the area. When you contacted me at 130 am, I did respond promptly and professionally through VRBO’s messaging system as soon as I saw the message, which is the platform’s recommended and documented method of communication for both guest and host protection. I did not refuse to speak with you; I simply continued the conversation within VRBO so there would be a clear record while we discussed your early departure and refund request. I understand that personal comfort levels vary, and I respect your decision to leave if the neighborhood did not match your expectations. However, I cannot refund unused nights when the property is exactly as described and there were no issues reported that prevented the stay.
