The home was beautiful open concept family friendly and had everything you could need. The host was great and very responsive. We loved the outdoor covered fireplace and hot tub. We would definitely return.

Wonderful and extremely clean! Plenty of space, the kitchen was fully stocked with everyday needed things! We had an A/C issue and by the next morning the serviceman came and fixed it!

We enjoyed our stay overall and thought the cabin itself was beautiful, very clean, and accurately represented in the listing. The host was friendly, quick to respond, and gave excellent local recommendations for things to do in the area, which we appreciated.There were a few issues that kept this from being a full 5-star experience. Several bathrooms did not have toilet paper stocked when we arrived, there were not enough towels provided for the number of guests, and the bedding was too light for the colder outdoor temperatures with no extra blankets available. The kitchen also lacked basics like paper towels extra garbage bags. The windows were unlocked open, letting in cold air.When we contacted the host about toilet paper, the cleaning crew entered the cabin while we were gone stocked the bathrooms. While we appreciated the quick response, we were uncomfortable that someone entered the cabin without our authorization or prior notice.Checkout was also a little awkward. Our reservation clearly listed checkout as 11 AM, but the cleaning crew arrived at 10:00 AM insisting checkout was earlier. After I showed her the reservation confirmation, she stayed parked directly behind our vehicles in the driveway and did not move even as we began backing out, only moving after we honked.Overall, we did enjoy the cabin and felt it matched the listing well. With a few improvements regarding supplies, communication, and guest privacy, this could easily be a top-notch stay.

Hi Ginny, I’m very surprised and disappointed by this review, as I truly felt I went above and beyond to provide the best possible experience for your group during your stay at Escape to Wisp Mountain. The home is professionally cleaned and stocked before each stay with paper towels, trash bags, dish soap, laundry starter supplies, hand soap, hotel-style toiletries, and professionally cleaned premium linens and towels through a linen service. After reviewing your concerns with the cleaning team, they confirmed the supplies were present in the home and additional items were added during restocking. During the stay, a concern regarding a door was also reported. The issue was promptly reviewed at my expense and ultimately determined not to require repair. Regarding checkout morning, housekeeping did arrive early for the next turnover but remained in the vehicle waiting for the scheduled 11:00 AM checkout time. I sincerely apologize for any misunderstanding or discomfort this caused. During checkout communication, it was mentioned a negative review would likely be left due to this situation, and I believe much of the frustration reflected here stemmed from that misunderstanding rather than the home itself. I take great pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, comfort, and hospitality and remain committed to providing the best possible guest experience

Spectacular mountain retreat!

We absolutely loved our stay at Escape to Wisp Mountain and I miss it already! What an incredibly lovely and well-appointed cabin. My husband and I had everything we needed for our stay and found the cabin very conveniently located while also quiet and private. And I would be remiss if I didn't specifically point out how immaculately clean the home was! Matthew is a wonderful host and while we had no issues or needs, he was very responsive to messages. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. We would love to stay here again!

I love visiting Deep Creek ,MD with my family so much we decided to make a place of our own and built a brand new Log home completed in June of 2022. I decided that I wanted a great place for my family to escape to that was big enough for a family or a small group. We love our home and hope your family or small group loves it as much as we do.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

I chose this neighborhood because it’s a private community and located on Wisp Mountain. It’s centrally located but in an area that is private and there is very little traffic on fern loop almost none. I have been there on stays in off season and mid week and we were the only people in a home. You can take walks ride a bike in the neighborhood or venture off to some of the other neighborhoods and golf course. It’s also a log or natural style home community mostly chalets and cottages and log homes. The community is also wooded and homesites are larger lots 2/3 acre to 2 acres mostly. There are log homes located on both side of Escape to Wisp Mountain and across the road. It’s a newer community that has public water/ sewage, underground utilities electric, and fiber optic for good internet and cable.

Roku smart tvs throughout the home every bedroom and living room, high speed internet , high end large shower heads and tankless water heater. Custom log beds and bedroom furniture with high end bedding,memory foam mattress. Fully equipped kitchen , large farmhouse sink, granite countertops, whirlpool black stainless appliances. Washer dryer and keyless entry for check in.
