We had such a relaxing trip. Thank you to Putu and his for all the amazing meal services and suggestions for sightseeing. It was really nice to not have to worry about transportation. Putu was an excellent your guide and driver. He took us around and help with purchases at the markets and searched down the exotic fruits. We highly recommend this villa for a relaxing stay.

We had the most perfect 7 night stay.The team headed by Putu were amazing and would do anything for you. Siteseeing Laundry Shopping All at extra cost but worth every penny. Just confirm cost if worried. We ended our experience with dancers and ressibg up it was amazing. The owner was very responsive.All in all a fantastic family memory

Out stay here was magical. The property is breathtakingly beautiful and the staff is a pleasure--so helpful and friendly. I can't say enough about Putu, the property manager. He went above and beyond to help us with rides, in home dinners, and a tour. He is so knowledgeable about the area and the culture. I highly recommend having him take you around Ubud. We had 2 dinners in the villa and they were delicious. Honestly, one of the best VRBO stays I've experienced. Don't miss out on this special experience.

Jungle Paradise

An outstanding property in a lush tropical setting. The outdoor spaces were all wonderful, especially the pool and lounge area near the pool. The bedrooms were exceptionally well appointed with beautiful bathrooms. The house staff was exceptional in their willingness to accommodate our needs for food choices as well as helping with transportation. The house staff was A++! I highly recommend this property for anyone’s vacation needs.

Breathtaking

The stay was Phenomenal!!!! We couldn’t have dreamt of a better stay, host, staff, and treatment in a million years. Very accommodating, We hated to leave. Not your average VRBO

This is not your average VRBO. It comes with a staff that ensures you will throughly enjoy your stay. Breakfast is served every morning. Beds are make and every day someone is cleaning the property. We have rented many houses but none have this level of service and cleanliness. You will not be disappointed.

Another visit to paradise

This was our 5th visit to Villa Alami and once again it did not disappoint! The property is as stunning as ever and the staff couldn't be more wonderful taking care of our every need. Sang Putu and his team were at our beck and call to make reservations, make suggestions, drive us into Ubud for shopping and eating, drive us to the rice terraces, to a wonderful waterfall, and even to visit a local healer. Breakfast every morning was a delight. You really need to look no further when choosing a villa in Bali. Thank you for sharing it with us once again!!

Wonderful Family Vacation

Great place for family vacation. The staff in Via Alami in Ubud is outpass our expectation. Very friendly, very accesible, one is always there to cater with your needs. We, included children between 3 to 6 yrs loved their specialty breakfast, dragon bowl. They were always there to help with our lunch and dinner too. The view od the gorge from the infinity swimming pool is breathless. The lightings were a bit dark, only small wattage bulbs were used but they were changed immediately the next day we requested for brighter bulbs. Will definitely will recommend to anybody who loves super relaxation and tranquility

A splendid place to stay- we hope to repeat it!

Putu and his staff are incredible and make the stay sooooo amazing. We had an amazing dinner prepared by them one evening that was so enjoyable, I wouod suggest doing this more.The house itself is stunning and the view of the river and jungle is entrancing. The only problem we had was wanting to stay there all day to enjoy the beauty rather than leave to visit Ubud and other sites in the area.So stay long enough to enjoy doing both. The only other thing that is not accurate is that there are 4 bedrooms not 5, so be sure you clarify your bed situation when you are arranging your stay.

Thank you Kathryn for pointing out that the description of our bonus room was confusing. VRBO recently changed how they list the rooms and I did not realize that we were showing having 5 bedrooms. Our Bonus Room / TV Room was designed so that families can create a suite-style set up by putting one of our twin beds into that room. As you know, the Bonus / TV Room can have access to the Private Garden Master but has it's own separate sink and toilet. I hope the updated description is more clear. Thank you, again!

Amazing stay in Ubud

The villa is even more stunning in person than in the photos - a combination of modern day amenities (air conditioning in bedrooms / media rooms and wi fi), along with beautiful outdoor common areas where you can hear nature - running river, birds, roosters when you awake. Central to many attractions in Ubud - we particularly enjoyed the cooking class and silver jewelry making class recommended by Putu - the villa manager, as well as trips to the nearby Monkey Forest and Bird Safari. What makes this villa extra special though are the wonderful staff who care for you during your stay - Putu's recommendations for where to eat / things to do were spot on and the remainder of the staff took wonderful care of us - starting with a gourmet breakfast (included in the price) each morning, keeping the villa spotless, and attending to our every need throughout the stay. We have truly never been on a vacation where we felt so well cared for and amongst such wonderful people.

This place will literally blow your mind!

I just tried to hack VRBO’s site so that I could give this place more than five stars… Words do not exist to describe how amazing our experience at Alami Villa was… it was our second time to come to Ubud, and being in an entire house separate from the craziness and traffic of the city was perfect. The property is GORGEOUS and the pool is insane… but honestly, the best part of the stay was the staff. Putu and Made were gracious and accommodating, helping with every need and even anticipating things we’d need before we even knew we needed them. They were also shockingly good at being discreet and out of the way, so it didn’t seem like we had anyone there but us. Putu helped arrange a private check for two of the nights we were there, and the food was incredible. The included breakfast every morning was delicious as well. They even left a “happy birthday” message written in flowers on the grass the morning of my birthday and brought a little cake for dinner. Zero question - we’re coming back to Bali just to stay here again. If you’re coming to Ubud, you NEED to stay here!

I was part of eight guests who recently took over Alami Villa for eight glorious days. This was my first time in Bali and the care, attention to detail and kindness of the staff was immediately evident. Putu went out of his way to meet our demands, and to make sure we experienced the Bali culture and traditions and even invited us to temple with him so we could experience this first hand. Made, our gentle, smiling breakfast cook/housekeeper was always there magically appearing and re-appearing as we came and went, Gusti the gardener was always working creating beautiful centrepieces for our dining table and has transformed the gardens around the Villa into a magical place. The Villa is so beautiful and hard to capture in pictures. I highly recommend you see it for yourself and meet these happy, gentle, loving people. I guarantee they will leave a lasting impression.

Wonderful villa!

We were a family group of seven that had the good fortune to stay for five nights at Villa Alami. What can I say, that hasn't already been said by everyone in previous reviews. I can only echo how amazing the villa is, how helpful Martha is (she treats you like a friend) and how truly magnificant her team, lead by the amazing Putu, actually are. NOTHING is too much trouble. You will be treated like royalty. I cannot praise them highly enough, they are amazing people who go out of their way to make sure your stay is the best it could possibly be. We packed so much into our short stay including two dance performances by the local villagers, which are definitely not to be missed! We were blown away by the quality of the performances. We had the chef cook for us and had massages at the villa, both experiences were wonderful. We were so sad when it was time to leave this fantastic villa and say goodbye to Sang Putu and his team, the days had flown by in a heartbeat.

I really don't want to write this 10 star review because I am selfish and I want Alami to be all mine. But alas I feel compelled to tell everyone what a fabulous vacation destination Alami Villa is! There were 8 of us comprising family and friends. We were glowing with delight the entire vacation. We did not want to leave. The staff is unbelievably fabulous. I fell in love with Putu.... Putu and staff are extraordinary, always at our beckon call. I have visited Bali before but never learned so much about the culture. We had a private gamelan performance with dancers and Bali cuisine dinner with private chef. as I swam in the pool, I could not believe that this is my life! how did I get to this wonderful haven? am I in heaven? The villa is inspired! the beds are so comfortable. Loved the A/C. The decor is so tasteful. We all had daily massages or some other treatment. I am returning to this stunning place and to the fabulous staff.

We decided to travel to UBUD to celebrate my cousins 40th birthday. Alami Villas was where we chose to spend our vacay. All i can say is wow! This villa is absolutely beautiful. I love the open air concept. You can hear the river running and the hummingbirds singing throughout the forest. It is so serene and peaceful. And an occassional rooster lol. I love nature. Each room is spaced out where guest can truly have their own privacy. There was a group of 5 of us. I chose the garden suite. Stunning. Glass allows for a panoramic view of the garden. The shower and tub are situated outside in a private garden. The infinity pool was beautiful with views of the forest. If you love the photos you will be even more in love in person. The guest of honor stayed in the grand master suite. When she entered it was decorated so beautiful with happy birthday in flowers and balloons. The Lawn also said Happy Birthday in flowers. Putu, Maete and the rest of the staff were the absolute best. My flight was delayed and without hesitation they were willing to make adjustments. They greeted us with a smile always, making sure that we had everything that we needed and great suggestions for places to eat, shop and things to do and took us everywhere that we needed to go. Breakfast was amazing. We were addicted to the chocolate chip pancakes. I refused to leave without learning how to make them lol. Now our Bali Family recipe. THANK YOU Martha for everything! Beyond exceptional!

If you want to skip the full review and just get to the bottom line, here it is: Stay here, without question, and you will have zero regrets! If you’re curious as to why we would give this villa the best possible review, here it is: As other reviewers have noted, the pictures (surprisingly) do not do this villa justice. Yes, the photos are amazing, but once you enter this villa, and are greeted by several staff members, and welcomed with fresh coconut juice, you will be at a loss for words. Honestly, Putu (the village manager) sets the peaceful and welcoming tone from the airport with his kind demeanor and warm heart. When we entered the villa, I had asked what is customary for where our shoes and such should go. I’ll never forget his response, “This is your home, you may do whatever you like.” And yes, from that moment on, we truly were made to feel like this was our home. For the remaining 8 days, Putu, Kadek, Made, and Komang catered to our every need. We were pretty exhausted from nearly 40 hours of traveling, and the team took care of ordering delicious authentic cuisine for our first two nights. Nothing was too much for them… More Bintang? Done. A delicious cocktail? Kadek knows what he’s doing! Floaties for the pool? Check. A private chef for the evening? Just ask! On top of that, forget about stressing over arranging tour guides, whether it be to a numerous temples, a guided bike tour, or seeing authentic art, wood-carving, basket-weaving studios, Putu isn’t just a wonderful village manager, he is your tour guide (whether by car or by bike), and your connection to all that is authentic and “off the beaten path”. Putu is clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about Bali’s culture and history. I had researched guides for cycling, climbing Mt Batur, several temples, etc. only to find out that Putu will take care of everything! Whenever we toured a temple, Putu, again, was our guide with an immense amount of knowledge. From remote villages, to traditional ceremonies, to food and culture, if Putu recommends it, do it. You will have no regrets! Not only is this quite possibly Ubud’s (perhaps Bali’s) most amazing villa, it includes the kindest staff that exceeds expectations at every opportunity. If I could give this villa 6 stars, I would. On our departure day, we felt as though we were saying good-bye to family. If we ever have the opportunity to return to Bali, we will most definitely stay at Alami Villa.

After years of searching for the perfect location, we finally found Tengkulak Kaja. Just minutes from the center of Ubud, yet nestled on the edge of a quiet village.
The Villa was completed at the end of 2012 and the entry gardens in January 2013.
The infinity pool was added in May 2014.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

It is rare to find such a quiet location so near to Ubud town. One look at the dramatic view of the Petanu River canyon view and you will understand why this location is truly unmatched.
