Great beach for kids

The cabin was cute, clean and comfortable. Loved the outdoor spaces! The beach was great for the kids to play and swim. Fire pit area was relaxing at night.

Clean, nice updates, and great location!

We loved this place! It was perfect for the 4 of us. It was clean and had a well stocked kitchen. The deck was great to hang out on, the yard was plenty big for games, and the lake was very pretty.

Wonderful little cabin stay

We loved our stay, it was cozy and perfect for our needs as a family of 3. It was very clean, appreciated the “organic” approach. This place had really good vibes and made us comfortable immediately. My 3 year loved the sandy beach and Lilly pad. We spent many hours outside in the sand enjoying the lake. Would stay here again!

Great Girls Weekend!

We had a great weekend here! Craig was very helpful and responsive. The house was very cute and perfect for 4 adults! Loved the beach and drinking coffee on the deck.

This was our second time staying here, and we had a great stay once again! The property was clean, had a well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds- everything I remembered from our first visit. The hosts were welcoming & friendly, and they responded quickly when I had a question. I appreciate their dedication to keeping their property fragrance free- this is rare to find when it comes to vacation rental properties! (I usually travel with an air purifier, but I didn't need it here.) I worked from a laptop during our visit- the WI-FI connection was fast, and I fully enjoyed the lake view as a backdrop. I would definitely request to stay here again, we had a wonderful stay overall!

Girls Weekend!

Cute little cabin with a fantastic view! So great to be near to the water. Perfect deck to sit out and chat in the evening. The host was very responsive. We will plan to make it our annual destination for Girls Weekend!

Beautiful, Fragrance Free Property

The house was beautiful & modern, & we loved the lake view. This property worked well for my fragrance allergies, as cleaning products were fragrance free. The host answered all my questions fully & efficiently. We would love to stay here again in the future!

Nice Stay On the Lake

Friends and I had a really enjoyable stay at this lakeside cabin. The aquatic boats and facilities worked out great for us and we enjoyed exploring the nearby island. We swam some but I'd say it's not the best swimming lake due to the good amount of vegetation. I would recommend this to anyone looking to relax by the water.

Amazing Staycation!

I can’t say enough about our time at Fremont Cottage. Our family spent every minute outside enjoying the amazing sandy beach, cruising around the lake on the paddle boards and swimming in the lake. The lake in front of the cottage was the perfect depth for our small kids to swim! The cabin was clean, cute and had everything we needed and more! Craig was wonderful to work with and will definitely be back to enjoy this property again!

Beautiful paradise close to the cities!

This property was beautifully put together and gave for a relaxing stay! The home is small but packs a lot into it! We opted to rent the paddle boards and Maui Mat- and had a wonderful time exploring the lake, the island, fishing off the dock, and just hanging by the beach. We saw lots of nature and enjoyed a fire lake side. Thanks so much for sharing your cabin with us!

Great weekend trip!

My brothers and I stayed here for a weekend getaway from the cities and it was the perfect place! The location is awesome - it's in a cute little neighborhood right on the lake. I did a run around the lake and it was a great route - with part of it on a dirt road that went right up along the shore. The cabin was clean, and a great size for 3 people (would be good for more people too). The cabin had all the amenities we needed and was close to a grocery store and restaurants. It was a great place to spend a weekend and I would definitely go back!

Sunsets and Serenity

My family of 6 had a wonderful stay at Fremont Cottage. With the beach just steps from the front door and a quiet neighborhood it was the perfect place for us. Bring an air bed for easy sleeping if you have 5-6 people, works like a charm! Sunsets and deck to work or relax was perfect and one of my favorite spots to perch. Plus all the seating inside made it easy for relaxing, eating, playing cards, etc.

Wonderful property and location

This property met all my expectations! The location was perfect for both hosting family and friends from the Cities as well as visiting them then retreating to our own relaxing space. We took advantage of the paddle boards, pontoon boat, fire pit, shopping and golfing in Elk River, fishing from the dock, and proximity to Minneapolis to attend a Twins game. Enough space for our two teenagers and two dogs. Host was helpful and responsive. Beautiful lake view that I was sad to leave!

Fabulous Minnesota Lake House

We absolutely loved our stay at Lake Fremont! Craig’s property was exactly as described and more. We were on the lake everyday with the boat and our kids used the paddle boards just as much. We even felt like locals as we participated in the annual July 4th Boat Parade! 😁 The town of Zimmerman had a well-equipped grocery store for all of our needs and we made quick trips to Princeton and St. Cloud to check our the surrounding area. I highly recommend Craig and his property on Lake Fremont…one of the best VRBO vacations we have had with our family.

Cozy cottage perfect for small families

We're second time guests. My 5yo loves the lofted bedroom. Both kids LOVED the beach. It's hard to find a rental that has a sandy beach play area. Craig is friendly, responsive, and accessible. My 5yo learned how to cast from the dock and was ELATED to catch her own little sunnies. So many core memories were made. :) The cottage has all of the amenities and comes fully stocked. We never felt like we were without.

Perfect Getaway not too far from home

This property and house were great! We have 2 small kids and appreciated it not being too far away, but felt like we were far enough away from home. The weather wasn't great, but we were able to use the beach and bonfire pit which were hits with our kids! Very close a few parks, which our kids loved - easily walk-able. The home is just enough for our family of 4 and they had plenty of toys (inside and out) for our kids to play with. The only bedroom is rather small and the queen bed is up in the loft so not a ton of privacy, but it wasn't an issue for us as we had the kids sleep in the bedroom. Kitchen was well stocked. Craig was a great and responsive host. We definitely want to come back when we can actually get in the lake!

We wanted a lakeside Thanksgiving getaway and this was perfect! Cozy, warm and well appointed. Craig, the owner responded quickly and was very helpful with the questions we had. The kitchen had everything we needed. The beds are comfortable and there is a nice supply of linens. We enjoyed the nearby Grams Park trails and Sand Dune Park trails for walking with our pups. We had a campfire and enjoyed the stars and full moon on the lake as well as the beautiful sunrises. There were various birds on the lake, including an eagle. The wifi works well and the smart tv streams well. The fireplace didnt work during our stay and that was stated on the vrbo site that they are waiting for parts. Fair enough. Overall a lovely Thanksgiving on Lake Fremont! Thank you for opening your lake house to guests and allowing pets. We are very grateful!

Comfort with a view

The rental comes with all the necessary ammentities. The whole property is comfortable and relaxing with one of the best views in the lake, even with 5 adults and 2 dogs. Craig offers additional rental options to make time on the lake more enjoyable. He was great to work with and even checked in when he saw us outside to make sure everything was as we expected..

This was our third visit, and we once again thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin is very clean and well supplied. We enjoyed the privacy, and the lake is beautiful.

We bought this house and used it as our lake cabin for several years. We even got engaged at the dining room table! We have since both started businesses and have two young children which leaves us little time to get to the lake. Our hearts are most at ease near water, so we hope you enjoy Lake Fremont as much as we do!
