Seculed beachfront beach villa!
This was our first visit to Celestún, and it was a memorable one. The photos of the property were very accurate—it’s nicely decorated, clean, and charming. The location is fantastic, just steps from the beach. It was such a treat to wake up and walk a few steps to watch the sunrise over the ocean. The water is incredibly shallow, allowing you to walk far out into the sea, which was perfect for beachcombing. We found some truly stunning shells!The property is located about 3 miles down an unpaved, rocky road, so plan accordingly. We did all our grocery shopping before arrival, which worked out well. We chose one day to leave the property to take a tour to see the flamingos and enjoy dinner in town—highly recommended.One of our favorite parts of the stay was relaxing on the beach or in the water during sunset. It was peaceful and exactly the kind of seclusion we were looking for.The property itself is quaint and full of character, with iguanas frequently spotted around the grounds. As it’s a beach property, you might notice a few geckos peeking out from their hiding spots inside the house. They’re harmless, and keep to themselves—though if you're squeamish, it's good to be aware.Overall, this stay was everything we hoped for: quiet, beautiful, and immersed in nature.
