Host was ok. Response time was ok. Some differences from the listing was the refrigerator and table was not the ones listed in the pictures. But i have no complaints it was for 1 night.

I was unable to gain access to the property on arrival because the code I was given was incorrect. The owner was unreachable by all numbers/texts. Finally I called VBRO and they were also unable to get in touch with the owner. I was waiting with my family and luggage outside the property for 1.5 hours. Finally VBRO was able to help me by canceling and refunding my booking, finding a hotel nearby and giving me a partial reimbursement towards the hotel. VBRO ultimately helped me solve the issue but the owner was MIA. Finally the owner contacted me and was very rude on the phone, asking me "why I was so upset". I was ultimately so happy we did not stay at this property - it is not in a good neighborhood and the surrounding area is run down with the smell of weed everywhere. I did not feel safe there with my family and the hotel was much nicer. I had a horrible experience with this property and the owner. Would not recommend.

Overall, the townhouse was nice, clean and served our family of 7 well. However, make sure you have 2 separate codes to enter the building BEFORE heading out on your trip. You will need a 6 digit code for the main outside door. You will then need a second 4 digit code for your actual room door. We did not receive the email with the outdoor code prior to arriving so we sat in our car for an extended period of time waiting on that code. The owner provided proof that he did indeed send both codes in the email but we also had proof that we only received one code to the second door, not the first. There must be a breakdown in that email with VRBO. Also, there were no trash bags provided. Other items were included as mentioned in the listing. A quick trip to dollar general up the street took care of that. The owner was fairly quick to reply and I feel it was a reasonable price for the accommodations. Would stay there again now that we are aware of the codes needed in order to gain entry. From here, we drove 15 minutes to Newark Penn station, parked our car for 35 per day and took the “PATH” train into the city. That train drops off at WTC and from there you switch over to NYC metro soon to be renamed Omny. Be sure to plan to be back on the PATH train by 1030pm as it closes at 11pm.

It started off wrong. We showed up to check in around 4:45. The host showed up and couldn’t open the front door as it was out of batteries; even though I told him when we was an hour out. We had to sit is a sketchy neighbor hood for 10 min while he ran to get batteries, install them and open the door. As soon as we stepped in the odor of puppy feces, urine and weed almost knock you over. Climbed 3 sets of stairs (listing doesn’t say that). Apartment looked like it was quickly put together from the left overs from another home. Pretty much like my first dorm room in college when my parents gave me left over furniture. After sleeping one night on a mattress that was firmer than plywood; my traveling companions and I said forget this and we went and got another place. Then the host a day later said we destroyed his unit (we all are over 40 was in bed by 10pm) and sent as proof a picture of a cord and the facial board from the cabinets The board was just was laying off not damaged. Said we owed him 5000 in repairs for these 2 items. Long story short. This property isn’t in a safe location, has massive weed and animal excrement odors and the host is not professional Do not recommend

We respectfully disagree with this review. The guest did not report any concerns during their stay or at checkout. Following a full investigation by VRBO, the guest was found responsible for damages to the property, and the charges were upheld in accordance with VRBO policies. Documentation and evidence were reviewed as part of this process. Our dogs are well cared for, friendly, and present for security, and we have records showing positive interaction with the guests. We remain committed to providing a safe, clean, and professionally managed stay for our guests.
