Walk into our completely remodeled 100+ year old home and find everything you need for a pleasant, quiet and comfortable stay. Sweet Retreat Wheeling will become your home away from home. Relax on our huge front porch or seek out everything our region has to offer! Your group will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally located house, including Wheeling College, WVU Medicine \ Wheeling Hospital, Oglebay, Centre Market, Capitol Music Hall, Highlands Sports Complex, numerous golf courses, and unique historical sites. This property features 3 bedrooms with 2 queen beds and 1 full bed, perfect for a group getaway. With amenities like free WiFi, 2 big screen TV's, a washer/dryer, heating, and whole house AC, outdoor backyard patio area and off street parking you'll feel right at home. We have several classic games, children's books and grown up reading as well. We even have Elvis karaoke complete with wig, glasses, microphone and DVD's sure to make memorable family fun!

There are several outdoor activities in our big backyard including basketball and basketball hoop, cornhole, badminton, ring toss, football, volleyball and more. Experience what Wheeling has to offer with a stay at our Sweet Retreat.

Entire house was clean and cozy. Every little detail thought of to pamper and create comfort. Beds comfortable. Enjoyed biking in town by river. Center Market nice for a sandwich and light shopping. Oglebay Park very nice, especially historic mansion tour and glass museum. And scenic lunch at the lodge restaurant. Furn place to stay for a few day trip.

The house was so warm and cozy! We felt right at home! The hosts are amazing and kind and responsive. There is a coffee shop in walking distance which is perfecr for in the mornings. 10/10 would recommend.

Amazing Owners and Cute House

It's a very nice house to stay in. It is in a quiet little neighborhood not far from gas stations and grocery stores. When we return to the area we will definitely see if this one is available to rent again.

Perfect home for our stay

This is the nicest house we have ever stayed in! It was so bright and cheerful. Everything was very clean and as described. We were close to places we visited and within walking distance of a store and restaurant. We appreciated all of the amenities provided and my kids and I enjoyed the family games that were there. We would stay here again!

Beautiful home in Wheeling with lovely hosts

The home was beautiful, exactly like the pictures. The hosts were simply lovely and so thoughtful. They even left us snacks. The check in process was easy and the communication was great. Location was perfect, very close to Oglebay and downtown wheeling. I would definitely recommend this property and would stay here again!

Wonderful experience

Visiting Wheeling to see family for the weekend. House was fabulous, older house completely renovated and updated and in excellent condition. Location is a quiet family neighborhood with driveway for 4 to 5 vehicles. Highly recommend!

What an amazing place that has everything just in case you forget something. The owners live right next door and chatted with us when we got there. So friendly even told Carol we brought another sales guy with us and she was so fast to ask if I wanted her to bring over a cot. I declined the offer saying he could sleep on the couch and she said extra blankets in the upstairs bedroom. 20 out of 10. When we come back next year we will rent the same place. Thanks Carol and Jeff.

House was amazing! We had personal request for owners and they went above and beyond what was expected! This house has everything you could need! Cleanliness was 10/10 and our trip was amazing. We had a short weekend but was close to everything. We enjoyed time together at the house in the evenings and explored wheeling and Oglebay during the day! Already looking for a weekend that works again for next year! If you are anything like me you read reviews and are always worried about what you are getting into. Not ever knowing if is clean, or comfortable. Please know I 10/10 recommend this listing. They had everything you could need!
