The Space:
Escape to this spacious and relaxing countryside home, backing up to the national forest and just minutes from Red Rock State Park. With an open floor plan, the lower level features a fully stocked kitchen, dining area, and a large living room with plenty of seating and Direct TV. Downstairs, you’ll find a queen bedroom with a twin bed, a second bedroom with a twin trundle that converts to a king and office space, plus a large bath with a soaker tub and walk-in shower. A commercial washer and dryer add extra convenience.
Upstairs, the private master suite offers a king bed, closet, and an ensuite bath with a walk-in shower.
Step outside to a beautifully designed outdoor space with a large dining table for six, a BBQ, and multiple seating areas overlooking the spacious backyard. Whether you're enjoying a meal under the stars, unwinding in nature, or exploring nearby Sedona, this home provides the perfect balance of comfort, privacy, and adventure. Ideal for families, couples, and friends looking for a peaceful getaway!
Guest Access:
Check in time is 4pm on your arrival date. The property is Self Check In with the door code and instructions sent to you three days before your arrival. Your reservation must be confirmed through TRUVI to receive check in instructions. Please reach out to us if you have any questions.

For those preferring flexibility, car rentals are available in Sedona. Booking in advance is recommended, especially during peak tourist seasons.
Other Things to Note:
Age requirement: The primary renter must be 25 years of age or older.
TRUVI Requirements:
We use TRUVI as part of our guest screening process. The name on your TRUVI application must match the primary guest listed on the reservation. In accordance with city and state regulations, the background check must be completed within 48 hours of receiving your booking confirmation. Please note that your reservation is not fully confirmed until these requirements are met, and check-in instructions will only be provided once completed. Additionally, prior to check-in, guests are required to sign a Rental Agreement to acknowledge and agree to the following:
-Abide by our rental terms and conditions.
-Provide a copy of a valid government-issued ID and matching credit card prior to check-in.
-That we collect a non-refundable damage waiver of $35, paid via TRUVI.
-The waiver will cover you for any accidental damage during your stay.

Wish you booked more nights? You can ask to add an additional day at any time and we are happy to extend your reservation if there is not a booking immediately following your stay.

Potential Fees:
We love our guests and mostly have wonderful experiences. We really enjoy hearing the stories about their adventures and reading about their time at the property. Unfortunately there have been a few that did not respect our home and clearly didn't know how to behave, resulting in the list below.
A $100 per hour fee will be applied for excessive cleaning required after check-out.
Unapproved Early Check In/ Late Check Out Fee: $100/hour. This fee is only assessed for early check ins or late check outs that did not contact us and did not receive an approval message via their booking channel. If you reached out to us and received an approval there is no fee. Our staff maintain a tight schedule and need the full available time in order to service the property.
Please note that this is a strictly non-smoking property. Smoking is not allowed anywhere inside the home or in outdoor areas where smoke may drift into the property. If guests choose to smoke outside, it must be done far away from the property to ensure that smoke does not enter the home. A $500 smoking fee will be charged if evidence of smoking or smoke odor is found inside the unit.
Unauthorized Pets: $500 fine. Pets are not allowed on the property.
Service Animals:
Service animals are always welcome and are not subject to pet fees. Please message us before check in that you are traveling with a service animal so we do not mistake them for an unauthorized pet. We comply with all applicable laws regarding service animals. If you're not sure about whether your pet or service animal qualifies under our policy, feel free to reach out to us before booking.
When staying with a service animal we require that you maintain control of your service animal at all times. You must take effective action if the animal becomes out of control. The service animal is not to be left unattended in the rental. Service animals are required to be housebroken, so please ensure that they do their business in an appropriate location outside. Please pick up after your service animals and deposit waste in an outside trash can. If you are in need of any special considerations please reach out to us so we can offer appropriate solutions.
Mail delivery:
Mail is not accepted at this address. Due to City guidelines, no mail is allowed to be delivered to the property. We are not responsible for retrieving or assisting with any items shipped to the home. Local mail services that are available include the UPS store or an Amazon locker pick-up.
Lost and Found:
If you leave something behind the fee for returning it via mail is $50 + the cost of shipping. You can also reach out for the possibility of picking up at our Sedona Office. We are not responsible for forgotten items.
Quiet Hours:
Local quiet hours are from 9 p.m. through 9 a.m. and are strictly enforced by the City. Please ensure you have music and other noise turned down during those times.
Dark Sky Ordinance:
Due to our dark sky ordinance, outdoor lights must be turned off when you are not outside.
Fire Rings:
Fires are not allowed May 1 - October 1. We also require you to check the Local Fire Ban restrictions in effect before utilizing any outside fire rings available at a property. We reserve the right to request no fires at any time.
Local Wildlife:
The local wildlife includes deer, skunk, bobcats, and javelina. Please do not try to feed or approach the animals.
City Unpermitted Uses:
City law disallows this home for being used for events, parties or large gatherings.
Please be respectful of our home and do not rearrange furniture or unplug any home features / electronics. We also ask that you keep muddy shoes and mountain bikes outside of the home.
Sign in to your personal account for Smart TV access such as Netflix or Prime. Please remember to log out of your accounts at check out.
Good to Know: The road leading to the property is unpaved and adds to the area’s rustic charm. Guests with low-clearance vehicles may want to drive slowly and with care, as there can be potholes along the way.

We had the best stay at Forest Retreat! It was nice to be off the beaten path a little, but still close to uptown, shopping, excursions, and restaurants. The house was extremely clean and well stocked with all the essentials. Perfect for our trip. Communication was excellent and all the suggestions in the house binder for hikes, things to do, and places to eat were appreciated. Would definitely recommend this cozy retreat!

This space is quiet and serene. It is close enough to town but not in the hustle. The yard and surrounding area were Loaded with wildlife. Several species of birds, bunnies and deer. The outside sitting space is nice for stargazing and the kitchen was stocked with all necessities to cook meals. Our stay was very special and our experiences will stay with us forever. The host was open and transparent and so welcoming. I highly recommend this property.

Everything with the house was perfect. Most of our plans were cancelled because of the rain. But the house, being as warm and cozy as it was, made the vacation enjoyable. Staying in seemed to be perfectly fine with everybody.

Stayed for three weeks in May 2026. My husband worked remotely during this period and didn't have any issues with the internet access. We also were able to stream all of our services at the same time. The property is off the road that leads to the Red Rock State Park. It is a little bit back there, so it was very enjoyable to be far from the road noise and near to so many trails. There are a number of horse trails behind the house and we did a number of hikes just from the back yard. We also grilled out a couple of times on the gas grill.The set up of the house itself worked very well for the two of us and my dad who visited a couple of times. Even with my husband having 4am work meetings right next door to where my dad was sleeping. The property management was very responsive and responded quickly to my inquiries. Definitely enjoyed our time at this property and would consider staying here again.

Private getaway
A traditional farmhouse with all the things you need and newer appliances. A lot of natural light with many windows along with pull down shades for extra privacy. The home is very spacious inside and sits on a large private property. The managers have fantastic communication and are very helpful. We had a great stay and easy access to the main roads. Not knowing there will be gravel by the home, we're glad we rented an SUV. You'll want a vehicle that can explore the cities and get to your trailheads.
