With amenities like a washing machine, AC, and high speed WiFi, your stay will be comfortable and convenient. The 2 bathrooms offer a bathtub and shower for your relaxation needs. We think our place will help you experience everything the Mother City has to offer.
We are located in 'The Quarter', a residential block in a cobbled De Waterkant sidestreet. Nestled in a neighbourhood that’s quaint, vibey and gleaming with little urban gems, this contemporary classic is designed for relaxed and hip urban lifestyle.
A secure covered parking can be arranged at an additional cost.
The building is typically not impacted by 'load shedding' (the practise of rolling and managed power cuts impacting South Africa.)

THE QUARTER APARTMENT: HOUSE RULES AND CONDITIONS BOOKING AND OCCUPANCY

Base rate is for 1 Guest only. Additional guests charged at R449* per person per night.
Maximum occupancy: 4 guests.
Only registered guests included in the booking are permitted to stay.
Bookings cannot be transferred to a third party unless done through the VRBO system.
No parties or gatherings permitted. Quiet hours: 22:00-08:00.
Violation of occupancy rules may result in immediate eviction without refund.

FEES AND SERVICES

Underground secure parking: R75* per night (cash on check-in, max vehicle height 2m).
Late check-in fee: R300* (until 21:00), R450* (after 21:00).
Early check-in/late check-out: R200* (subject to availability).
Airport transfer: R450* (1-2 guests), additional guests R75* each.
Cleaning service required for stays over 6 days: R400* per service.
Long stays (30+ days): Weekly cleaning fee of R400* to change linens and clean.
Additional services during stay: R400* (subject to staff availability).
Items left behind: R175* handling fee plus shipping costs, kept for 1 week only.

PROPERTY CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Report maintenance issues immediately.
You are responsible for damages and required repairs/replacements.
Heavily soiled/stained linens or towels will require payment for special cleaning or replacement.
All windows must be closed when apartment is unoccupied.
Turn off air conditioning and lights when not in use.
Keep apartment and common areas tidy, dispose of refuse properly in P3 level.
No smoking anywhere in the building, including balconies. Violation incurs R7,500* cleaning fee.

FACILITIES AND AMENITIES

High-speed Wi-Fi available (fair use policy applies).
Netflix provided (do not alter settings).
In-apartment washing machine and drying rack (laundry must not be visible from outside).
Safe provided for valuables (leave open upon departure).
Water conservation required (70L per person per day maximum).

CANCELLATIONS AND CHANGES

Strict cancellation policy: refunds only if space is re-booked at same rate.
Early departure does not qualify for refund.
No cancellations accepted due to load shedding (power outages).

VISITORS

Building requires advance notice of any visitors.
Visitors must identify themselves and leave by 22:00.
Reception will call you to collect your visitors.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Operating hours: 09:00-17:30 weekdays, 09:00-16:30 weekends/holidays.
Cape Town is a vibrant city; some street noise is to be expected.
Windows cleaned professionally once monthly.
The VRBO service fee covers only checkout cleaning.
Pet owners require twice-weekly cleaning and are liable for any pet damage.

The rooms were clean, the place was nice, great location.The bathroom in the master had no door and the shower had no privacy due to the glass wall looking into the bedroom. The listing mentioned shampoo was provided, but we didn't see any.The check-in process was not smooth. The host gave us a check-in window of 3 to 430pm with additional charges outside this window. Our flight landed at 3 and we made the time, but we had to stay in communication with the host on arrival time. I was 10 min off my arrival time (4pm instead of 350pm), and received a note about it.We booked the unit for 4 people and were provided with 2 shower towels. We had to ask for 2 more, the host mentioned that he thought it was for 2 and would bring additional towels with no apologies.The cleaning team left laundry so the host mentioned the cleaning team would be stopping by to pick it up. The host didn't ask, he told. It was not a request if his team could enter.In the posting, it states that we could request for an early/late check out for 200R. I requested a late check out of 12pm instead of 10am and the host mentioned that the only way to get a late checkout was to book an additional night. The host wanted to have the unit available for future booking and was not able to accomodate even though there was no booking. The checkout process was not smooth. We handed in the keys before the 10am checkout. The host messaged regarding the keys and I had to request that they check the CCTV.
