Inside, the farmhouse retains its historic character with three original gas fireplaces and refinished clawfoot tubs equipped with modern shower kits. A bar cart complete with bourbon cocktail books sets the stage for a perfect evening, while the fully equipped kitchen, including spices and essential utensils, ensures you have everything you need for home-cooked meals.

Unwind on the front or back porch, where you’ll be treated to stunning farmland views, or gather around the fire pit (firewood provided) for a cozy night under the stars. Outdoor enthusiasts will love the propane grill, corn hole, and spacious yard for games, while the provided s’more sticks and Bluetooth speaker set the perfect ambiance for a memorable evening.

Inside you’ll find a pool table, ping pong table, dart board, basketball hoop, and bourbon barrel seating. Upstairs in the hayloft, enjoy a charming movie theater with straw bale seating, pillows, quilts, a sound bar, projector, and access to 100 DVDs or your own device via HDMI. It’s the perfect blend of comfort, entertainment, and country charm.

We’re excited to share that farm-fresh products are now available for guests! You can pre-order our pasture-raised beef, chicken, and eggs—all raised right here on the farm where you’ll be staying—for a true farm-to-table experience.

If you’d like to place an order, your items will be ready and waiting in the fridge or freezer when you check in. Just be sure to place your order at least two days before arrival and no more than two weeks in advance of your check-in date.

To add an item to your cart you will be asked to choose a fulfillment option first. Select Pickup Options, then choose The Old Fashioned Farmhouse - Vacation Rental as the location.

Use your check-in date as your pickup date.

Centrally located between Lexington (1 hour drive) and Louisville (45 min drive), and just a 15 minute drive to Shelbyville and 30 minute drive to Frankfort.
