What a beautiful house and location!! Our trip was absolutely perfect from beginning to end! The hosts were just amazing, they communicated quickly and were so friendly and helpful. The view from the back deck is unbelievable. We enjoyed all of the scenery, hiking, fishing and shopping. Don’t hesitate! Book this place!

Beautiful get away

Went up to visit my boyfriend and his mom while they are hiking the Appalachian trail. Great little spot to unwind and relax with an amazing view of the mountains.

Visit to Birds Nest

We were pleased with our lodging at Birds Nest. We couldn't get enough of the deck with the fabulous view. The house was very comfortable and suited our needs just fine. This was a wonderful place to stay and explore the western NC region.

One minor issue was taken care of very quickly and it was easy to get in touch with management. Pull out bed was not the best, my kids just slept in the couch instead. The location was perfect, easy access to area attractions, but also private. The house was spotlessly clean. The hot tube and deck area was so nice, with a beautiful view of the mountains. Some suggestion to improve comfort: a better bed in the master bedroom, I’m not sure I have even slept, or tried to sleep, on a harder mattress, this is top priority as a traveler. Directions on how to use the fireplace in the living room. Supply firewood for the outdoor fireplace. Beach towels for the hot tub use. An updated coffee pot would be nice. Im not sure I would rent this property again because of the bed being so uncomfortable.

Private and beautiful

It was so wonderful and relaxing! Views are amazing and better than the pictures. The place was a lot bigger than expected and the privacy was exactly what we were looking for. Bonus: there’s beautiful rock wall on the side of the house that had water trickling down it while we were there. Great surprise.

Place is perfect

The place is awesome and is away from the heavy traffic but not far from everything. We slept comfortably and the cabin is amazing, I would like to buy it actually ha. The view is fantastic as well from the porch. My kids loved it and enjoyed being that close to the public access to the lake. Rather than drive into the tourist cities that are close to the cabin including a nice scenic drive to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge they said they had the best time at the lake. All around a good time and great place.

The rental company was easy to work with and Billy was a gem. We had winter weather move in and he helped us get an extra day for our safety. Loved this cabin and the rental company.
