Charming 1-bedroom cottage in beautiful Salt Springs Resort on Lake Kerr

Reconnect with nature but with all the amenities. You'll treasure your time at the memorable Turtle Cove Cottage at Salt Springs Resort. Come visit this gated resort located in the heart of the 387,000 acre Ocala National forest, with a pier, fishing, boat ramp, and beach on the spring fed lake - nestled amidst 100- year-old Oaks covered in Spanish moss.

Our Resort is clean, rich in nature, with big small town charm. We also have lots of amenities too, like bingo, poker, yoga, and more in our clubhouse. There is a hot tub, adult pool, family pool, and kiddie pool over looking the lake. Enjoy the tennis courts, shuffle board, playground, horseshoes, corn hole, and gameroom, even live bands on weekends under the pavilion with dance floor included. Sometimes food trucks visit, or go to the convenience market, Subway, or Pizza place, The Dollar General is right next door.

Eat breakfast and go ride your quads, dirt bikes, and jeeps across the road. The Ocala North OHV Trail System offers 125 miles of trail which includes a 14-mile motorcycle-only trail; 35 miles of trail usable by motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), and utility vehicles (UTVs) less than 50 inches wide; and 76 miles classified as "mixed use," which means OHVs share the trail with licensed vehicles. The Salt Springs Recreation area is right down the street with an average of 72 degree temperature salt water.

Turtle Cove Cottage is in the middle of the Ocala forest, Florida’s oldest national forest, encompassing over 600 lakes and rivers well suited for swimming, snorkeling, fishing, and boating. There are hundreds of miles of unique walking trails through the forest, with plenty of opportunities for wildlife spotting, bird watching, and photography.

Whether enjoying a relaxing campfire with family or friends or any of our many things to do, you will find the area unique, diverse, and accommodating to a great life style. Something for everyone! Come enjoy all we have to offer!

This was our 2nd time staying here and it did NOT disappoint. The host is more than accommodating. Turtle Cottage is our go to place for relaxation. What a great weekend.

House was very clean and beautiful. Everything you need is there to use. Teresa was very quick to answer any questions. We would definitely stay there again. Only thing missing was a golf cart.

This is a beautiful, clean, well-taken care of mobile home. It was a comfortable stay. Walk to a warm serene lake for swimming. Nearby many springs and hiking in the area. The host is attentive and helpful.

We've were amazed by Terresa from start finish. Her communication and the amount of detailed information she had provided regarding her beautiful cottage and even restaurant suggestions and places of interest, was over the top. If looking for an over the top place to stay , look no farther. No more searching for us, our next visit to the area will be at The Turtle Cottage.

What a gem!

I spent three nights in this quiet, little oasis and my experience was absolutely wonderful! The cottage was clean and well maintained and exactly as described in the listing. I used the property as a base camp to visit all the local springs during the day and loved their close proximity to the cottage, most within a couple minutes’ drive. The resort had a village-like atmosphere, with friendly neighbors out on their porches at night, enjoying the beautiful weather and waving hello. There is also the resort lodge within walking distance, with a little library for the avid reader. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making for a great night’s rest. The kitchen was well equipped with everything I needed. I also enjoyed the CD collection, which made for great listening while relaxing in the evenings. There was even a thoughtfully included a first aid kit, which came in handy for a small cut received from the day’s adventures. The property manager, Teresa, was friendly and quick to respond to any questions. Overall, I truly enjoyed my stay at the cottage and am looking forward to coming back again in the future!

Surrounded by the beauty of nature, being in a forest, on a lake is so revitalizing to the soul. To be a host for Turtle Cove Cottage has been so satisfying - providing a clean and comfortable Chariot Eagle home and meeting great people from all over has been a huge bonus to my retirement years,

The resort is close to my home, which is five minutes north. It is a unique place in that it's gated (so secure and relaxing), absolutely gorgeous with lots of palm trees, and there are soooo many amenities. Really emphasizes the Florida lifestyle.

Turtle Cove Cottage is a "theme" home, with lots of nice turtle decor. The "Home away from home" sub-title is what a turtle has - always taking home where ever you go. We want to provide our guests with the best experience!
