We had an amazing time, location was perfect less than 1.5 miles from the jet express, so we walked over there. The friendship station next door is perfect if you haven’t tried the chicken there you are missing out! Would definitely come back in the future.

Yes, everyone loves the location as it is so central to many of the attractions. So glad you had a good time and enjoyed Friendship's legendary chicken...the pizza is good too! Come back and see us when you can stay longer and thank you for taking such good care of the property. Put in Bay is so much fun and there is still a lot to do on the area islands and on the mainland until Halloween. The weather is perfect right now. Not too hot and not too cold.

Perfect place for Family & Friends to get together in a large group. Booked for a group of 16 and had room for plenty more. Clean, comfortable, and updated. The pictures do not do it justice!! while it reads as 3 separate condos or spaces, they all were connected in the perfect way. All 16 people loves the property and we will definitely be booking again. Amazing rental for Put-in-Bay, Port Clinton, and Lake Erie Islands!!

Mike, So glad you enjoyed the convenient location and all the remodeling and updating we have done. So glad everyone was comfortable in the 9 queen beds, 1 twin, double bunk and queen sleep sofa. Large groups love all the spaces for privacy and yet the common areas when they want to be part of a group. Hope you tried out the new griddle along with the 3 gas grills, one charcoal grill and one electric grill. I forgot to ask if you liked the new patio lights in the pergolas. So glad you caught your limit and will be joining us again on your next fishing adventure!

Stayed here for a wedding with 13 of our friends! It’s a great location, right next to a 24 hour liquor/convenience store that also sells the best fried chicken! 5 mins away from the ferry to get to Put In Bay, walking distance to a Mcdonald’s. The host is very nice, communicates well, and easy to get a hold of. They even laid out cornholes for us for when we got back from the wedding. Big space for everyone to hang out, lots of board games to choose from. Would stay here again!

Big Family Vacation

We had a wonderful time staying here with my whole extended family. The property was very clean and well maintained. We were also provided with plenty of towels, toilet paper, and even laundry soap. The owner was great and easy to contact when we had a question or concern. We would definitely stay here again.

A GREAT FAMILY GETAWAY

Had my children (5) & their spouses/ boyfriend & 9 grand children for a weekend together. It was nice getting together as one big family under one roof. Lakeside house

We enjoyed our stay at Sheryls home and she was very communicative. She made sure everything was set and provided a method of contact. The house was spacious and clean. A 2-minute drive to the beach and a 5-minute drive to the ferry.

Great place at Erie

We come up to Erie annually to charter fish. Our group contained 17 people and the gathering place was able to comfortably hold all of us. The house is clean and well kept with plenty of bathrooms and showers. If you are looking for a great place to accommodate large groups look no further! Sheryl the owner stayed in constant contact the entire trip and was always available for questions. Thanks for a great trip!

The large parking lot allows those of you with your own boats to keep them trailered with your trucks. The outdoor outlets we planned in the remodeling also allow electric for any of your needs. You will want to come back next year

Place came with so many extras..a fully stocked kitchen, bathroom, 2 outdoor gas grills, 1 charcoal grill, and one outdoor griddle, yard games, sand toys, beach chairs. Don't let the location behind the gas station keep you from renting this. Also, the free use of the pool at the 1812 bar was so much fun. Perfect for our family! Sheryl was always quick to respond to my calls and texts! A+++

Traveling group

We were traveling with a large group. Sheryl was extremely helpful every step of the way. She patiently answered any questions we had. The house was very well stocked... from kitchen essentials to soaps, shampoo and a ton of towels. The house is nicer in real life than the pictures on HomeAway. I would definitely come back and stay here again!

Great place, great owner, ease of process, and cleanliness.

Cheryl the owner was super easy to work with. Super easy process and was ready well before our group got there. The place had ample places to relax inside and out with a very nice patio area to BBQ and just chill after a long day on the boat. Very clean, with every little detail taken care of. I will definitely be coming and staying again for my annual guys trip. All the beds were queen sized which was amazing, as well as super comfy. Felt like I was visiting my aunts, grandma's place with the warm feeling. Thank you very much for the great place to stay for the weekend.

Jeremy, It was a pleasure to host your group and you are welcome back any time. The fishing has been wonderful this year with many catching "Fish Ohio" trophy fish and larger along with their limits. We added some electrical outlets outside last year and there is enough parking for several boats with trucks. The area also has some wonderful Charter Captains who take very good care of their clients. I tell everyone I know how glad I discovered the "North Coast of Ohio" 22 years ago. and wish I had known sooner what all the area had to offer!

Vacation Time for Extended Family

The property was fine for our group. Proximity to Cedar Point was key for the teens in the group. Lake Erie was a new venue for all of us. We were able to enjoy the Port Clinton City Beach, the community pool, charter fishing for walleye in Lake Erie followed by grilling fresh fish for all was a group highlight. The "city" setting was a different experience for us. Kids had to be driven to venues, and were unable to just "walk to the beach."

Great experience

This property was perfect for our large family! 8 bedrooms offered everyone their own bed and private bedroom instead of having to use a bunch of couches and pull out couches. The in-law suit was perfect for the young couple and their baby. Plenty of bathrooms. The two kitchens were very well stocked as was the rest of the house. There was nothing we were lacking. Very clean property Great location, too. Close to the beaches and lots to do in the area. Host was wonderful! Very responsive and nice to work with. Highly recommended this property

Beyond our expectations!

We read all of the reviews and knew that the space would be adequate for our big family and that the place would be clean, but there is not a price that can be placed on an immaculate facility where EVERYTHING has been thought of and the communication is excellent! We simply can't say enough good. Perfect location. Perfect hosts. Perfect accommodations. DO NOT HESITATE to book! We didn't want for anything even though we made all of our meals there and had family members ranging from infant to senior. Perfection!

Extended Family

This was an amazing time away with my 4 adult children, their spouses, and 12 grandkids (ranging in age from 15 months to 20 years). There was enough room for everyone to feel comfortable yet be together and create such wonderful memories! Everything you need and more is on site for a relaxing time away. I really appreciated the communication with our host, Sheryl, as she periodically text just to make sure all was well! We were a bit hesitant at first because it is directly behind a gas station on a relatively busy street , but honestly, it didn’t affect our stay at all. As a matter of fact, the family could be as loud as they wanted - we didn’t bother a soul!

We have a fantastic time at The Gathering Place! We had a large group with ages ranging from 1-year-old to 67 years old. Everything was neat and clean when we arrived. The kitchens were well stocked. The beds were super comfy! There were plenty of blankets and pillows as well. Lots of great communication with the property owner. She gave us lots of ideas for things to do while we were there and was very helpful with my many questions. The pool was great and the beach was nice too. Both were only a short drive from the house. We also enjoyed taking the ferry to the island of Put-in-Bay. Would highly recommend!!

30th Birthday House! 5 Stars for a big group

I had a group of about 18 stay at this house for my 30th birthday in late July and we had the BEST experience with the home and host! We had PLENTY of room as we rented the entire home for the group, but renting parts of the home is also an option for smaller groups. The home is well kept and newly renovated in some areas. Everyone enjoyed having plenty of bathrooms and seating areas to hang in our downtime. The home is a quick drive or walk to anywhere in Port Clinton. The host was more than accommodating for ALL requests! Sheryl was very responsive and even answered a late night urgent call when we had some confusion on the passcode to part of the house (it was our fault). The host was very patient throughout our whole weekend stay and made sure to cover every detail prior to and during our stay. Thank you for making my 30th the best birthday yet!
