Hey there! I'm just a down home country girl. I love living in the beautiful southwestern desert of Dell City, Texas. It is where the colored skyline touches the Guadalupe Mountain Range. The wide open spaces, dark skies, fresh air, and peaceful atmosphere of small town living is a blessing I hold dear to my heart. Just trying to raise kids and be a supportive wife to a very busy agriculturist husband. It's a crazy busy life, but we are thankful, grateful, and blessed!

I love the slow pace of small town life. Everyone waves as they drive by, and people look after one another. It's early to bed and early to rise in this little farm town. During the growing season, you can hear the hum of the pumping of water to the various fields whether it's irrigated water or pivots. This area has so much to offer if you are looking to unplug and unwind. It's peaceful and yet cozy. If you are looking for a retreat away from the city and lights, this is the hidden gem. I love small-town living.

Put up your feet at the Sunrise Ridge Retreat! This is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of the small farming community of Dell City, Texas. The "Valley of the Hidden Waters" offers access to breathtaking views, including perfect dark skies for stargazing.
This three bedroom, two bath house is large enough for a whole family, or cozy enough for a quiet weekend away for a couple's retreat. The fully supplied kitchen has a gas stove, oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, pots & pans, and even a dishwasher! The entire house is on centralized heating and air conditioning (a must during the desert heat).
Dell City is strategically located near the Guadalupe Mountain National Park (highest point in Texas) or you can go a little further and explore deep inside the earth at the Carlsbad Caverns! Feel free to check out the Sand Dunes or see the Salt Flats!
Take a short walk in the fresh air to see the sunrise over the highest peak of the Guadalupe Mountain Range. Or take a stroll just north of town near the local vineyard to catch the sunset. Either way, don’t miss those early morning sunrises or sunsets, they are sure to take your breath away!
