Great stay near state park and Crisfield!

Two families with kids stayed here for a long weekend - wonderful house with everything we needed, plus a beautiful pond and fire pit outside. Easy drive to Crisfield to catch the ferry to Smith Island, plus kayaking in Janes Island State Park. Great getaway spot in a quiet part of the eastern shore. Host was super-responsive!

Birthday Celebration by The Lake

Our stay was amazing. The cabin was exactly as described. 9 family member stayed at the cabin comfortably. The view of the lake was breathtaking, the property was quiet and inviting with plenty of space for celebrating. We came to attend the Crab and Cruise experience which was a short drive from tge property. The surrounding city was quaint and friendly.

Cabin on the lake

The cabin is beautiful. Privacy was wonderful. Great for families gathering.The rooms are very big. The pictures about the property are so true. Messaged owner a couple of times, he responded in minutes.I will be staying there again.Thanks for letting my family and I, utilize your home.Damita

The handrails on the porch are not stable .. being elderly, I use handrails to go up and down stairs. The home had a foul odor ... even though there were several air freshners located through out the home. The thermostat was regulated remotely ... the temps outside were over 90 with high humidity. We came back to the house for our last night stay and the air conditioning was off and the house was at 80. It was already evening and we wanted to go to bed. That was impossible. I contacted the owner who gave me the runaround and refused to fix it. Then I'm told it is remotely controlled. It takes over 2 hours to get the temp down in the house. We were not informed the air would be off. We still had 1 night left that we paid for. There is a bonus room all the way to the back of the house. We opened the door and the room is full of mold. And the wifi is spotty.

Thank you for your feedback. We always strive to provide a comfortable and positive experience for all our guests, and we appreciate you sharing your observations. Regarding the handrail, we were not aware of the issue during your stay, but as soon as it was brought to our attention, we scheduled maintenance to repair it this week. Concerning the temperature control, it appears the heater was turned on initially, and then the AC was set to a lower temperature without switching the heater off. This caused the temperature to remain higher than expected. The AC is in good working order, and we encourage guests to refer to the instructions to avoid such confusion in the future. Unfortunately, it's not always possible to send maintenance late at night, though we do our best to assist promptly whenever possible. We also want to clarify that the room in question was recently renovated and does not have any mold. While there is a mild natural wood odor near the corner room, this is typical for a wooden cabin and not indicative of a larger issue. We appreciate your stay and hope we can provide a smoother experience in the future.
