Great stay at lake mirage

My husband and I just spent a lovely month at Charlie’s condo at lake mirage racquet club in palm Desert The home is a bit old but very comfortable and outfitted with everything imaginable : outlandish amount of kitchen pots, pans, plates , etc , numerous towels, a first aid kit that could see you through almost any calamity, there are older but certainly serviceable bicycles complete with helmets, kayaks complete with life vests The setting is beautiful on the lake and so lovely to wake up and see the water fowl ( the geese are particularly vocal at night!) The lake Mirage property is gorgeous with maybe the most beautiful Mountain View’s outside of the Swiss alps There are pickle ball and numerous tennis courts but unfortunately there is inexplicably not an active racquet sport life at lake mirage Unfortunately the weather was much colder than usual so we could not utilize the lovely patio as much as we would like but we were able to socialize a few times , again fully outfitted with dining table complete with fire out, a heater , couches and chairs and a tree offering up the most delicious grapefruits There was little need to bother Charlie about anything but he is very friendly and the few communications were addressed immediately He has thought of everything to make a stay at his condo exceedingly comfortable This is a wonderful place in a breathtakingingly beautiful part of the world Thanks for a great month

Lake Mirage Stay

This rental was excellent. The property is very well designed with 3 bedrooms, 2 on one side of the unit and a very spacious master on the other. Furnishings are extremely comfortable and the view and little extras such as fire table, propane heaters, hot tub, kayaks, bikes, bird feeders, etc make for a great experience. Charlie and Alex are excellent, friendly hosts.

Superb!

This was our first time at Lake Mirage and we can't say enough about how fabulous it was! Mornings and evenings were spent on the huge and stunning outdoor patio overlooking the lake with ducks, geese, and swans. The 2 kayaks and paddle boat were fun for venturing out on the lake for a little spin. Dinners al fresco were warm and comfortable around the table with a gas fire in the middle plus 2 standing gas heaters for when the evenings started to get cooler. Tennis and pickle ball courts were always readily available and the 4 cruiser bikes were a great addition for a morning ride to the nearby Starbucks. The huge pink grapefruit tree overhanging the outdoor sitting area was laden with juicy fruit. We can't think of anything this home is lacking inside. The beds in every room are super comfy and the kitchen is fully stocked with absolutely everything. We especially loved using the large grapefruit squeezer for margaritas! Charlie, the host, is extremely friendly and accommodating with any questions or requests and you can tell how much they want to make sure their guests enjoy their beautiful home as much as they do. We truly appreciate how much effort was made to make our month at 97 Lake Mirage such a memorable one!

Highly Recommend!

We had an amazing stay at Lake Mirage. The house is super comfy and the bedrooms are very nicely furnished. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need for cooking as well as some movies, books and games for entertainment. We had wonderful evenings at the patio fire table eating our BBQ dinner. Patio view is stunning with the lake, mountains and beautiful sunsets. We loved watching the geese and ducks. We used the provided bicycles and kayaks. Perfect location close to lots of restaurants and shopping. Lake Mirage is quiet and well maintained. Charlie our host was super accommodating with our questions. Thank you for a most wonderful relaxing stay.

Absolutely wonderful!

We loved our stay here in January - even at the height of COVID. The location on the lake is stunning, with beautiful sunsets from the patio or in the pedal boat on the lake. There are lots of activities in the community you can boat or bike to. And the house is super comfortable, well-equipped and perfect for extended family or friends. Owners are very friendly and responsive. They really have thought of everything you'll need for a fun and relaxing vacation.

Lake in the Desert

WOW! I delightful relaxing place on the water (private residential lake) in there desert. Full equipped and then some. Responsive hosts. we neederd to relax and recharge aftyer a stressful move and this place fit the bill. We kayaked to one of the many community pools to swim every day and spent long evenings having dinner and watching dusk fall over the beautiful water as the ducks came in to sleep and the bats woke up to flutter over the lake. Idyllic. Many thanks to Charlie the host. When we couldn't get the DVD player to work he got a technician to come and help out ASAP.

Exceptional!

We have been yearly guests at 97 Lakeshore since 2015, and cannot recommend it more highly. The property is conveniently located, with an excellent, functional layout for both entertaining and overnight guests. The unit is beautifully furnished, immaculately maintained, and every detail, convenience and amenity has been considered. Although we love the interior, we consider the lakefront location its biggest asset. Decks on both north and south sides of the unit provide differing levels of privacy and the option of sun or shade throughout the day. Our favourite experiences? Settling into a comfortable armchair on the deck to witness yet another spectacular mountain sunrise; napping under the enormous pink grapefruit tree, in full bloom; idling away hours relaxing on the lakefront entertained by migrating waterfowl and the ever present hummingbirds; sinking into the Jacuzzi after a day of hiking; and ending our evening in THE most comfortable king size bed, to a cool breeze and sounds of the lake. Our thanks to the Kirkwoods who have treated us like old friends and given us the opportunity to spend our vacation in this beautiful home. Looking forward to our return!

Fabulous

We stayed January 2019. Wow the home is just as pictured. Everything you need is provided. Bikes, kayaks, pedal boats, hot tub, firepit on tabletop plus gas patio heaters. Large soaking bathtub, fabulous bedding, stockpile of movies to watch. The view on the patio of the lake is incredible. The owners are right on top of any detail you may need to know. Absolutely loved our stay

This was our 4th visit to Lk Mirage Racquet Club and always look forward to staying at 97 Lakeshore. Most beautiful view of the lake, kitchen, and master bedroom. Bikes, paddle boat, kayaks, and pickleball paddles are furnished. The Kirkwood family take great pride and care in making sure all responses are addressed immediately. Stayed Nov 2017

Our stay at this property was outstanding. The condo was extremely well equipped in all areas, especially the kitchen. It is definitely the best location that we have rented in Palm Springs. Even the fishing from the dock was good. The handy man reasoned within 30 minutes when one of the fire detectors chirped that needed a battery. Our only disappointment was that it was already rented for Nov 2018.

An Elegant Lake Front Desert Experience

My wife I spent the month of May in this wonderful property. It truly feels like home since it includes everything you need for an extended stay. The owners have updated the property in a very tasteful way and have a keen eye for detail, and there was really nothing that we lacked during stay. The home is well decorated with quality and comfortable furnishings in every way. We enjoyed having wonderful bbq grilled dinners under the stars around the fire pit table. The lake provides an amazing setting in which to relax and truly enjoy a quality vacation experience. There are ducks, geese, swans and countless humming birds that made regular appearances throughout our stay and were welcome visitors. The location is absolutely prime as the area gets regular afternoon breezes which allowed us to rarely have the need to use the updated a.c. system. Since there are sliding doors and patios on both sides of the property it affords for great cross breezes. We also rented motorcycles and took advantage of the paved mountain road behind the property the leads up the mountain over 5000 ft to the picturesque town of Idyllwild where the temperatures are approx 30 degrees cooler. The property is also close to great shopping, dining, and within a short drive of downtown Palm Springs and all it has to offer. Notably, the lake home is also in a fully gated community and allows for great evening walks around the lake with no traffic to speak of. The closest pool to the home is literally three homes down, and a very short walk away. Speaking of private, we utilized the jacuzzi on the lake house patio right outside of the master bedroom on most nights of our stay to wind down. The cleanliness of the property rivals any vacation rental that we have stayed at. Absolutely spotless. The kitchen was lacking nothing, and had everything and more that we needed. The lake home during our stay offered both Apple TV and Directv providing a wide range of premium channels as well as a BlueRay player connected to quality tv's in each room. This beautiful lake home property truly provides a luxurious all around experience and was a special place for us during our desert stay. We were sad to leave but hope to return soon. Alex was the most gracious of hosts and came by the home to show as around upon our arrival. After that he allowed us total privacy during our stay but was a quick phone call away if we needed anything at all. We couldn't recommend this property more.

Paradise in the desert!

Sadly home from a wonderful vacation and a beautiful condo. The property is nicely located with amazing lake and mountain views from the kitchen, master bedroom and living room, a great layout. The outdoor space was were we "lived", so inviting. Coffee on the patio, fresh grapefruit in the morning from their tree, relaxing in the hot tub and dinners at the fire table. My favourite memory will be the morning kayaking while the black swans followed behind. The property was clean and comfortable and the beds were dreamy. Alex and Charlie responded within minutes to any questions we had and obviously take great pride in their property. It was great to have the bikes and helmets as we often biked to Starbucks and the local restaurants. This condo was well located and we were just minutes from El Paseo and great shopping. We will definitely be returning!!

It is stocked with everything you could imagine, the beds are excellent and it is extremely clean. Our favorite thing was the outdoor space. We spent so much time there relaxing in the comfortable furniture and enjoying the beautiful evenings. We loved taking bike rides and walking the dog around the neighbourhood. When we arrived we were met by a friendly concierge, who spent at least a half an hour going over everything with us and giving us recommendations of things to do. The Kirkwood family were so easy to work with. They always returned our emails immediately and were so friendly and accommodating. Thank you so much Alex for everything! We will definitely try to return to this place in the future.

10 out of 10 rating by a return vacation family , looking forward to next year

We stayed here last year and had a wonderful time ! This year we experience another wonderful time and we are looking forward to coming back next year . The townhouse is first class in accommodation and first class in customer service . If any problem happens during your stay , it is immediately dealt with and I can clearly say it is done in a very professional manner. I think it should be rated 10 out of 10

THE BEST VACATION SPOT!

If I could give 97 Lakeshore more than 5 stars, I would. You can start your day by riding the bikes to Starbucks (less than a mile) and getting a coffee. When you get back, you can walk the perimeter of the community which is 1.5 miles. Now you can relax around one of the 11 pools. Time for lunch out on the deck overlooking the lake. Lake Mirage is close to El Paseo, Bristol Farms, and McCallum Theatre. Downtown Palm Springs has some beautiful hiking trails and oh yes, there are the casinos. After dinner, we would take the pedal boat out and watch the sunset. The house itself had comfortable furniture, great kitchen, and a good layout (separation of guest bedrooms and master bedroom). When we arrived, our concierge welcomed us, showed us around the house and gave us a variety of restaurants to visit and things to do. When we had a tech problem, Alex got back to us immediately. The only problem with this VRBO is-it books up fast so be sure to reserve ASAP.

WOW! What a find

This was our first experience with a VRBO property and were pleasantly surprised at our home away from home. We looked forward each morning to catch the sunrise and reflection off the lake with our morning coffee. What a way to start the day. The sunsets were absolutely beautiful. The peace and serenity of the property along with amenities provided such as pickle ball, tennis, paddle boat, kayaks, and morning walks made our vacation very enjoyable and relaxing. If we had any questions they were immediately answered by the owners. They take great pride in their property in providing a beautiful vacation experience. We would highly recommend 97 Lake Shore Drive for your ultimate vacation getaway.

Is this Heaven?

This is an outstanding property. The best I have ever rented. It was hard to choose what we liked more, the sunsets or the sunrises. It is just like the picture. We played golf every day and couldn't wait to get back and relax by the lake. Everything in the property is first class. Any communications with the owner or the property manager all were answered quickly beforehand. Never had a reason to contact them during our stay because everything went smoothly.

Wonderful Getaway, Great Hosts!

The house is gorgeous, comfortable first class furnishings, well stocked kitchen and a dining room with a lovely view of the fountain. The pictures are spot on and the owner could not have been more helpful. I was met by the manager who answered all my questions and even made some excellent dining and entertainment suggestions. Located right on the lake, the house comes with Kayaks and a paddle boat. The outdoors patio has a private BBQ, a hot tub, a lounge area and a dining area. There is a pool a short walk from the unit and the views from the patio and the pool are beautiful. I highly recommend for solo travelers, couples or families.

My wife and I plus our family had an outstanding time at 97 lakeshore drive The place was first class , it provided everything a family would need to have a great vacation Accommodations are like a first class hotel and the kayaks and boat are additional plus We would highly recommend 97 lakeshore drive to everyone Finally ideal locations Costco terrific places to eat We are planning on going back next year for 2 months One month was 2 short That is how much we enjoy our stay All well, we given numbers to call if we had any problems / may as well not be given them .

Perfect relaxing oasis.

We spent an amazing month at this beautiful, well appointed home. It certainly was everything that was stated on the website and more. The entire community is beautiful with friendly residents. We enjoyed walking within the community and to the nearby mall and its amenities. A perfect location! We also had the privilege of meeting one of the owners who was very hospitable and cared about our comfort. We could go on and on about this awesome place but we'll leave it up to you to have "the experience".

Living like a king!

I must admit that I felt like a king in his castle! After a busy business schedule throughout the year, this was a great chance to reunite with my family and enjoy the best of times.  The pictures don't even do the property justice.  97 is better in person! The whole view and atmosphere makes you forget about the crazy day-to-day. I suggest this property for anyone who wants to recoup and enjoy awesome time with the family.

A Glistening Gem in the Desert

After spending several months with our entire family rotating in from all across Canada and the US, we proclaimed this vacation and this vacation spot to be the best we've ever had. The Lake Mirage community is lovely and we strolled it's winding streets and pathways every morning and most evenings. Just across the lake and over a fun foot bridge is a park like area for tennis and a golf practicing, which we did quite often. They even introduced us to a fantastic new game called Pickleball, which is played on a smaller court than tennis and is easy enough to pick up in a day to where we had frequent family tournaments with newcomers. The community is perfectly located and just 3-5 minutes from Costco, and the El Paseo outdoor shopping mall with more restaurants than you could ever eat at. Starbucks and groceries are one minute away from your front door. This residence itself is very well appointed and sits ten feet from the edge of the lake. It is impossibly clean and tidy inside and out, and everything works!! The owners are extremely responsive to questions and even bought us an extra ice maker for a particularly big weekend of fun. The decor is very rich and calming with rugged wooden furniture that appears to be hand made with large planks of finely finished wood. It all looked brand new but its just well built and cared for. The lake itself is utterly fabulous. We'd sit and enjoy wine on the dock right on our property, just off the patio. We often used the kayaks provided by the owners, and set out under foot bridges into the many canals and open waterways, often passing very near to Canada Geese, ducks and other birds. We even saw people fishing for bass! And catching them! The sunsets are amazing from here and the view of the mountains from the patio and dock are spectacular. The patio also has a private spa built into the ground, in addition to the 11 pools and spas scattered around the entire community. One thing you might have to try, is the house signature cocktail. They call them Ruby Red Martinis. Right on the patio is a ruby red grapefruit tree which are harvest-able from August to April. Use the oversized press to obtain the fresh sweet juice, and mix it with frozen vodka kept in the freezer. Splash in some Grand Marnier and you have it. Then go sit on the dock feel perfectly pampered and quite proud of yourself for getting into position to enjoy life like this. Can't say enough. Cheers!
