ROCKMERE, LOS BAÑOS, SPRING BAY: RECIENTEMENTE RECONSTRUIDO Y REMODELADO POST IRMA

Recientemente reconstruido y remodelado después de un daño relativamente menor de Irma, Rockmere reside dentro de la comunidad de Valley Trunk, en lo alto de las rocas que dominan los baños, el Parque Nacional Spring Bay y Little Valley y Big Valley Trunk Bays. Después de la remodelación, la propiedad ahora cuenta con tres salas de estar separadas, cada una con baños completos y cocinas. Desde todas las cubiertas se pueden ver las rocas que crean las cuevas en los baños y las que adornan las bahías y playas desde allí hasta Big Valley. Las vistas se extienden a través del canal Sir Francis Drake hasta Tortola, St. John y más allá. Los 2 acres de la propiedad están plantados con una amplia gama de árboles tropicales y plantas con flores. Los edificios están construidos literalmente sobre las grandes rocas de granito que componen la geología de esta parte de la Virgen Gorda con algunas rocas que forman parte de las estructuras y la piscina. Con la elevación de la propiedad por encima de cualquier obstrucción en todos los lados, los vientos alisios proporcionan una brisa fresca la mayoría de las veces del día.

La casa principal consta de un dormitorio privado con un rey de California y baño completo separado. La sala de estar / comedor es una gran sala que se abre a una terraza con impresionantes vistas. El área de estar se abre en dos paredes para que la vida entre las áreas de la cubierta y las áreas interiores sea perfecta cuando los controles deslizantes están abiertos por completo.

Gemstone es una casa de huéspedes separada frente al edificio principal y consta de dos camas individuales y un baño privado. Tiene aire acondicionado también.

Debajo de la casa principal hay otra suite privada con un dormitorio adicional, baño completo y su propia terraza. Esta suite también ofrece una ducha interior y exterior y ofrece su propio camino privado a la playa. Las vistas desde este mazo son similares a las de arriba solo desde una elevación ligeramente más baja. Esta habitación también tiene aire acondicionado.

La nueva casa de huéspedes se encuentra en la cima de grandes rocas y cuenta con un amplio dormitorio y una sala de estar con terraza privada con vistas de 180 grados desde los baños hasta la ciudad española. El dormitorio en esta casa también tiene aire acondicionado. Este edificio ha sido completamente remodelado desde Irma y tiene su propia cocina completa. Esta instalación solo está disponible para acomodaciones para dormir para grupos de más de 6.

La "cabaña del conserje" no tiene aire acondicionado, pero se beneficia de las fuertes brisas debido a su ubicación frente a los vientos alisios. Esta unidad de estudio tiene su propia cocina. Esta instalación solo está disponible para grupos de más de 6.

Wonderful Stay for Whole Family

Rockmere was a wonderful stay for our whole extended family. Each of the bedrooms was quite private while the main living area was comfortable for our whole large group. Little Trunk Bay and Spring Bay were wonderful even for our infant and toddler with good snorkeling for the teens and adults as well.

A Spectacular View

Rockmere was every bit as good as its pictures. The accommodations for our family were ample, the general quarters sublime. All were entranced with the view and spent much of our time at the house gazing at the spectacular view across the channel at Tortola and the flanking islands. We all loved our stay.

The house has wonderful views

The house has great views and we enjoyed ourselves on our trip Virgin Gorda. The beaches are a short walk and are beautiful. The people we encountered both staff and locals were very nice. I do think the listing should indicate that the bed rooms are not directly accessible from the main living space. This at times mad is feel disconnected from at kids. This house is great for couples or older children. There is also not a bathroom in the main kitchen, dining, and living room area. The preceding comments aside, the views, access to the Baths, and Spanish Town make this a property a solid choice for families looking to vacation in Virgin Gorda.

Paradise!

Staying at Rockmere(Guavaberry Resorts) was the most incredible vacation I have ever had. The property and home were beyond anything I could have imagined. The place is even more beautiful in person. The houses were very clean, comfortable and well decorated. The check in process was amazing and the staff are accommodating and so friendly! Everything you could possibly need is either right on the property or just a walk away. The beaches are so close and the most beautiful i have ever seen. I would go back and stay at the same exact place in a heartbeat. Hands down the best vacation i have ever had!!!

Amazing house and stay on VG

Rockmere is such an amazing property - so much better than the pictures! Very nice furnishings, beautiful view and proximity to multiple beaches can't be beat! It's literally less than a 5 minute walk to Little Trunk and Spring Bay beaches. As part of the Guavaberry management you get access to their beach on Spring Bay with chairs and towels provided. The daily maid service and small commissary were an added and unexpected bonus. As a vacation property owner I was really pleased with everything Rockmere provided. I really can't believe there aren't more reviews for this property. The price is a steal for what you get. We also heard from multiple people that this is the best place to stay on the island. We didn't even rent a car. It's a 10 minute walk to Bucks wholesale and 15 mins to Mermaids, Island Pot, Coco Maya and Treehouse restaurants. 15 minute walk to the Baths. We will be back!!

Fabulous

From the moment we arrived at Rockmere (9 PM) I was surprised beyond expectation. The drive and walkways are sercummed with lighted indegineous plants outlying the pathways to the main living areas. The living quarters are exceptional. This property is premier with all accommodations including access to the best beaches in Virgin Gorda. We especially enjoyed making new, wonderful friends at the nearby resturaunt Mermaides, "the best food in town". I look forward to visiting again very soon.

Awesome!

This was our first trip to Virgin Gorda. We enjoyed every minute and staying at Rockmere was the highlight. Not only did we have a great sense of privacy and all the comforts of this beautiful home and its surrounding views, the proximity to beaches, the national parks, shopping, restaurants, not to mention the rest of the island, made for magical vacation!

A slice of heaven

Rockmere at Little Trunk Bay is a gorgeous property, family owned for over 50 years. The estate is divided into 'areas' for privacy and comfort, with beautiful landscaping to admire as you walk the property. The main house contains the kitchen, dining area, relaxing living room, outside decking (with a 5 star view of the water), and BBQ. The bedrooms are located in petite villas adjacent to the main house; one was down a beautiful path, and the villa itself had it's own deck, kitchenette, outdoor shower, etc..) Each of the villas have an outdoor shower, inviting design, and comfortable beds. Also on the property is another decked area with an art studio, library, a shaded hammock, and dipping pool. The path to the beach is short and foot-friendly, and the beach itself is the most beautiful I have seen in my life; I could have spend days just there. The list goes on and on...The property is very close to The Baths - just a short walk! In the evenings we would either admire the sunset from the decks, or head to town for dinner with friends at Mermaids, or other locations. Any visitor would be delighted with this vacation rental, it exceeded my expectations.

Absolute Paradise!

Rockmere is the absolute epitome of island utopia! With the most picturesque views of the Caribbean, incredible panoramic views of The Baths, and most breathtaking property, this island getaway will be one you will never forget! A private beach is a very short walk and local restaurants and bars are right around the corner! This destination is a must see for families, romantic couples, or a group of friends! I will be back to this property as it has my heart forever!

Exceptionally beautiful home - perfect stay in this tropical paradise!

We stayed at Rockmere over Thanksgiving week 2013 with our grown children and toddler grandaughter. It was everything we had hoped for and more! Simply a beautiful, well appointed, comfortable home with gorgeous views of the Baths and mooring sailboats. The short walk to Trunk Bay, Spring Bay, and others was easy even with a toddler. The layout of the home provided privacy with the separate sleeping spaces and a huge common living, dining, and kitchen area. The Guavaberry staff was exceptional, and daily housekeeping was provided by a delightful woman who gave us tips and helpful ideas during our stay. All in all, we hope to come back soon, as Rockmere and Virgin Gorda were our idea of a perfect family vacation!

My parents have owned this property for more than 40 years and recently transferred its ownership to my sister and me. We live in the USA and visit Virgin Gorda when my parents are up for the trip from California where they live full time. Rockmere is managed by Guavaberry Spring Bay, with their office only a short walk from Rockmere. They will assist you with anything you need during your stay.

My parents bought this property more than 40 years ago after vacationing in the area for years. They believe, as we do, that this is perhaps the most beautiful beach community in the world. Without a doubt the rock formations make this place exceedingly unique.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

In the morning, we all enjoy a cup of coffee on the deck overlooking the channel and the Baths and watching the different boats come and go from the moorings. Then its time to explore the beaches. You can walk just a few hundred feet to Little Trunk Bay and you will probably not see anyone. Stay and snorkel or head south to the Crawl (Spring Bay National Park) and Spring Bay Beach, or head North, over some rocks, to Valley Trunk where you can walk the long beach lined with palms. A 10 minute walk will bring you to the Baths & Devils Bay national parks. On your way backstop at the Mad Dog for a refreshing island beverage and a BLT. You might head home for a nap and a book, or get into your car and explore other parts of the island in the afternoon, but head home in time for the sunset on the deck again as the sun sets behind Tortola. Dine at home and then finish off the evening listening to the coqui frogs chirping you to sleep.
