Balsam Lake Cabin and Pickleball Retreat

Looking for a great cabin that has been fully renovated near a premier lake to spend time with your family and friends? Only 1 hour from Mpls/St. Paul (Cities)
This property is NOT right on the lake, but has full lake and dock access to store your boat or fish or swim off the dock. It has a very large yard with bonfire pit for many family activities. It is just a short 200 foot walk from the patio to the lake. We do have a golf cart available upon request to use going to & from the house to the lake.
We also have a brand new outdoor pickleball court set up for your group to enjoy during your stay. There is also a large indoor two court pickleball available to our guests. Just another short walk to this building.

Wonderful spot!

This was a great property. Beautiful yard with bonfire pit. Everything we needed was there. Beds were comfortable and clean.

The house felt new. The dock area was great along with the huge yard.

The property is small, yet spacious and open! We didn't even make it downstairs to play games! Loved the layout of the house! Just a minor delay with the last bit of information, but it worked out at the end. We had a lovely stay!

Perfect place for family

This place is the perfect vacation home for a family getaway. It's in a quiet neighborhood with a huge yard! Close to the lake, a fire pit with a cute little s'mores set up, and beds for everyone! It was my husband, our two boys, my in laws, and my sister in-law, her husband and myself and it was wonderful even though our stay was short. Thank you again for all the memories that were created when we stayed!

Beautiful cabin!

Beautiful updated cabin! Even though it’s not right on the lake it was a great week on Balsam. The golf cart was perfect for hauling coolers and bags down to the boat. We had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners on our way in, she was so helpful and gracious giving us some specifics and tips on the place. Thanks for a wonderful week. We would definitely stay again!

Wonderful cabin with lots of activities, great for families

My wife, daughter and I had a great long weekend at this cabin. It was very clean, is in a quiet neighborhood, and has a lot of great outdoor space. There is a golf cart available that is great for driving around the property and to the lake just across the street. There was a small motor boat for fishing and a pontoon available for rent, which was great for exploring Lake Balsam. We will definitely be back!

Quaint spacious home to relax

We stay in several VRBO homes each year for long weekend getaways in MN and WI, and this place met our expectations: clean, spacious, good location, yard space, comfortable beds, and good kitchen amenities. Family of 5 all enjoyed ourselves. Note: This is an older home that’s been remodeled (except upstairs bathroom), but if you’re expecting brand new, higher-end you probably would be more comfortable somewhere else. If not, I highly recommend and would consider staying here again for sure.

Great place to enjoy with friends!

Wife and I wanted a weekend away with friends and this place was perfect. The inside has a nice open plan to hang out and entertain. We were able to rent a pontoon for the day which allowed us to explore the lake and enjoy all of Lake Balsam. We only had 4 people and 2 dogs staying at the property, but it can easily accommodate 8 people and the perfect spot for a mini-getaway with friends. Jason (property manager) and Jeremy (owner) were available if we needed anything and very friendly guys.

Very nice long weekend

Thank you to the host for a wonderful weekend in your rental! We had a great time and loved being able to rent the pontoon located right at the dock. Use of the golf cart to haul our stuff from the rental across the street and through a yard to the dock was definitely handy! The little extras with so much supplied was wonderful (trash bags, dishwasher detergent, shampoo, etc). Wonderful memories made!

Balsam Lake Home

My family and I stayed at the house for a long weekend. We enjoyed our stay and had everything we needed. The host was very quick at replying to my questions, the house was clean, and the kitchen was stocked with what we wanted. We had a fire one day, the supplies for smores were furnished along with the fire wood. We had an awesome time, beautiful fall weather and perfect house.

Both courts are amazing - these are better than any public courts out there - hands down!! Access to a golf cart was great as well, for the short drive across the road to the lake. We We were able to easily slip our boat & jetski which was super convenient. We enjoyed the fire pit and host provided s’mores. • Host Communication: Very Responsive, professional, and proactive. If you’re looking for an experience that leaves you longing to come back time and time again - that’s what you’ll experience at this VRBO! The hosts are highly focused on the guest experience, they want to ensure guests have the most enjoyable/ memorable getaway possible!

Beautiful Balsam Lake Cabin

This cabin is a lovely getaway near the Twin Cities. The cabin has been remodeled with modern updates, is comfortable, dog and kid friendly (though our kids are all adults now) and a short walk to the dock. The water is great for boating and swimming. We rented the pontoon for a day, and it was waiting for us at the dock in the morning. The cabin has everything you need. Owner was quick to respond and checked in with us via text. We would rent it again.

Amazing getaway

Our family enjoyed a wonderful weekend at this beautiful cabin! The weather didn’t cooperate with us to be able to enjoy the outdoors much, but that didn’t stop us from having a fabulous time. Our family all loved just sitting together, playing games and being together all in one space. This cabin has just about anything you could need. The golf cart was an added bonus for hauling all our gear down to the lake! We would definitely recommend staying here and plan on coming back! Thanks for the wonderful stay Jeremy and Amy!

Beautiful property

This is a beautiful house! It was clean and the communication with the host was prompt. Lots of bees had built nests around all entrances and they had someone out within an hour to take care of it. There is a fire pit and they had a basket full of s'mores stuff which was a cute touch. I wish there had been a Bluetooth speaker so we had some music, but that was the only thing lacking! I would definitely recommend this rental!
