The Doc House, una propiedad frente al mar, con mejoras y renovaciones importantes en 2018. Para mejorar esta hermosa propiedad frente al mar, había un extenso paisaje, pintura nueva para el interior y el exterior, y nuevos pisos en todas las habitaciones. Esta casa frente al mar es muy singular en que goza de espectaculares vistas 360 vistas a los bajíos de cabeza calva, Southport Channel; El Océano Atlántico, el Bosque Marítimo y el pantano de dentro de la casa y cualquiera de las 3 grandes cubiertas.

La playa está a menos de 100 metros de la casa! Caminar por su propio muelle privado a la orilla del mar, establecer su silla, pegue sus pies en la arena y disfrutar del sol. Usted puede ver los barcos a la deriva, delfines, aves y en las ballenas jorobadas de invierno persiguiendo cebo alrededor de los bajíos de cabeza calva.

Esta casa fue construida a la medida por una pareja que seleccionó la propiedad para no sólo las vistas sin precedentes, pero es uno de los lugares más convenientes de la isla. Podrá caminar fácilmente a los restaurantes del puerto, faro de Old Baldy, cafeterías, heladerías, alquiler de carritos, bicicletas, kayaks, oficina de correos, lugares para bodas y el puerto deportivo.

Este plan de casa inversa fue construido para las vistas! Hay más de 60 ventanas, muchos de longitud completa, por lo que además de sentarse en la cubierta y apreciar las vistas, la experiencia de la isla de las habitaciones, sala de estar y cocina! Esta casa también tiene un dumbwaiter para ayudar a traer comestibles y accesorios hasta la planta superior!

This was our first time at Bald Head Island. It was a couples trip. The process of getting to and returning from the island was easy and seamless. Doc House was a nice place well furnished and very comfortable overlooking the water. I would have liked to see more from the house but the bushes and trees were high. This was different than other houses around us which had clearer views. The location was good, near the marina and lighthouse. The golf cart worked great and we were able to see all parts of the island. Lack of seafood on the island was surprising. I would have loved to eat crabs or lobster while there. Didn’t have much luck catching crab either. It was a great experience and all of us were very relaxed. Definitely worth the trip.

Wonderful setting and view of the ocean while having coffee and dinner. Very private surroundings and actually you could walk down the beach to the ferry, if light luggage. Will come back to Bald Head!

Great experience!

My wife and I loved our stay at the Doc House. It was great that the house was so close to the marina, which made it convenient to get to, and also, you didn't feel like you were so far away from everything. The house is right on the bay side of the islan,d but if you want to see the ocean side, it's just a short walk or cart ride. The house gets lots of light, which is great - though admittedly I do wish the master bedroom had blackout curtains as the room gets very bright early in the AM, which made it difficult to sleep in - not a problem though as we felt well rested. Overall, I would book again - the staff are great and accommodating.

Great location and all amenities were available as described. Also, the communication with our hosts was very timely and responsive. We really only had 2 issues during our stay:1. There is a persistent "wet dog" smell in the front bedroom. 2. The floors had not been sufficiently cleaned. Other than that we loved our vacation time and our stay on Bald Head Island.

Sibling Trip 2025

Perfect place for a few days of catching up. Each sibling had their own room. The upstairs was a great place to play cards, listen to music, watch the Pacers and sit out on the porch to watch the activity on Cape Fear River and sunsets. The golf cart was fully charged and a great way to explore the island. We also rented bikes and explored the island one day. Beach access was perfect. We were able to walk the beach, sit at the beach to watch sunsets and fish off the beach. We didn’t buy a guest membership to the club, so restaurant options were limited. Jules, Jailhouse Provisions & Copper’s Pizza were our go-to’s.

First trip to Bald Head Island but not our last! We loved it and the property made it easy to come and go from the beach and everything the island has to offer. Perfect fit for our family of 5 since we love oceanfront but don’t need larger house.

Perfect Time Away

Great views! Super wonderful accommodations

We stayed here for a week and it was absolutely lovely. The patio was great to enjoy the sunsets and the location is perfect! We’ve been coming to BHI for 3 years now and my first time renting with itrips. I’ll definitely be back and hoping to check out more of their properties. The home was very nice, well adorned and was perfect for our larger group stay.

Amazing sunset views and our dogs loved it

We loved all the windows and the amazing sunset views every evening. We also loved having our own beach access. Being on the west side, the water was really calm for our dogs to swim and the beach felt remote and private. We'll definitely visit again!

Great view

We have been to bald head many times. Really nice place with exceptional views of the water and the ships. Walk out the back to a very quiet beach near western end of South beach.

Wedding weekend

We were here for a wedding and the house and location were a perfect fit! The openness of the home and the views were amazing!
