First Class Accommodations

Details matter and this rental shows the owner takes pride in their property. Fantastic views with quick easy access to a great beach for relaxing and snorkeling. Extremely satisfied with this rental.

Amazing Experience! We will be back!

This property exceeded all our expectations! We reviewed dozens of options before selecting this location and property and could not be happier. You literally cannot get closer to the beach. The location was superb, near a lovely shopping center, restaurants and several resorts including two that have luaus. There really is no better spot. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the property manager answered all our questions via text within minutes. We highly recommend this rental!

Amazing!

This property is amazing! Beautiful grounds, decor and beaches! Some of the best snorkeling from shore. It is a short drive to restaurants and shopping. Great if you want to get away! We’ve stayed at Makena Surf 3 times now and love it. This condo was well appointed and had everything you needed. The managers were easy to work with. Hated to leave!

Perfect in every way!

We just returned from our stay here and can't say enough good things about it. We are a family of five (myself, my husband, our two sons, ages 25 & 22, and our daughter, age 24). The condo was the perfect size for us. We loved the condo the minute we stepped in and were greeted with a spectacular view of the ocean. Our favorite things were the mornings and sunsets sitting on our balcony overlooking the ocean. Absolutely stunning view! We also loved the easy walk to the beach, which was never over-crowded. We stayed at the condo for many meals because we didn't want to leave! The condo is very updated, clean, quiet and comfortable. We highly recommend this condo!!

Fantastic condo right on the beach

This is truly a luxury condo with all the amenities you could imagine. The views are great and probably one of the best places to watch the sunset on the island. The beach is beautiful and not very crowded with some good snorkeling nearby. If you are patient you may even meet one of the sea turtles. We spent 5 days there and wished we had booked for longer!

Gorgeous condo & Stunning views!

This condo is gorgeous! My family of 4 stayed & it was more than enough room for us. The view from the huge balcony is awesome...probably the best view we've ever had. The condo is very clean (I'm very picky about this & I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness) & decorated beautifully. The beach at Makena surf is very nice...it never got crowded, my kids loved boogie boarding & they saw 3 sea turtles during our stay. It was very quiet at night, which I liked a lot. The weather was great. The area of Makena is a little far from restaurants but it was worth the drive for how much I liked the area. I would definitely stay there again, it was an awesome place!! Thank you to the owners!!!

Paradise at the edge of the ocean!!

The view when you walk into this unit is absolutely stunning! The condo was immaculate and modernly updated, spacious and homey. Fully furnished with comfortable living and bedroom furniture. We loved having access to our own kitchen and having a convenient BBQ to use was an added bonus. The condo is amazingly stocked with beach gear, towels, a cooler bag and kitchen items. There wasn't anything that we were missing during our stay. The owners have thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. Makena Surf is conveniently located close to some of the best beaches on the island, shopping, restaurants and activities. The snorkeling was fantastic with colorful fish and many sea turtles. This was a beautiful unit in a great complex that is secure and quiet. If a relaxing vacation is what you're looking for, than look no further, this is the place for you!!

Beautiful unit and location

We very much enjoyed our week long stay here. Beautiful, clean, well maintained unit with great views of the beach. The location can't be beat for a quiet, relaxing stay with easy access just North in Wailea to shops, restaurants and activities. The service provided by Ali'i resorts was great with daily towel service and any assistance that is needed. Looking forward to our return in 2018!

Beautiful and Relaxing

Thank you for sharing your condo with our family! The interior of the condo and upkeep to the grounds are beautiful! The pictures of the condo are accurate although I thought the photos tend to make the condo look a bit larger. The corner unit, second floor condo ( you go up 7 stairs so easily manageable) has breathtaking views of the beach. The condo location in the resort is equal distance to the beach and pool, approximately 2 minutes. The resort amenities of daily housekeeping and towel service was wonderful as well thru Alli Resorts (They also refilled soap, dishwasher tablets and laundry tablets as well) The condo was equipped well with basics in the pantry including a few extra spices, cooking oil, Reynolds and Saran Wrap. All the necessary pots and pans, blenders and even a panini maker and Tupperware for leftovers were stocked . There is also a wine refrigerator but we didn't use it. Since we were a family of 5, we were charged for an extra fee for an additional person. You are given a beach towel for each guest to use while you stay. However, there are only 4 beach chairs so we were always trying to negotiate that situation. There was no beach umbrella, snorkeling gear or boogie boards so I recommend that you rent those. Snorkeling on the beach in the morning is outstanding and you will see many sea turtles. There are many business operations who actually stop at the old lava flow area to view the coral, fish and turtles. Boogie boarding in the afternoon when the surf changes is fun as well. The beach cooler equipped at the condo no longer zips shut But did the job when needed of keeping things cool. The beach crowd is family orientated and had enough space on the beach for everyone. The pool was rarely used by others while we were there. I have read from other reviews regarding this beach that the surf can be "rough". What we experienced, calm seas during the morning and around 11:30 ish -1 pm, the winds pickup and the surf becomes strong (time for the boogie boards) but saw many young children handling the surf well. Overall, our family would recommend this condo to anyone and would not hesitate to stay at this place again in the future! Mahalo!

Honeymoon Paradise!

My husband and I stayed here for our week-long honeymoon and could not have been happier! The recently remodeled condo is beautifully designed with just the right amount of Hawaiian touches that embrace the aloha spirit. Completely stocked with gorgeous upgrades, amenities, supplies and spa-like extras, we felt spoiled and relaxed the entire time. With its corner location, the ocean breeze flows throughout the house perfectly, bringing with it a beautiful scent of plumeria blooms from the nearby tree. The proximity to the gorgeous, uncrowded and quiet beach is unbeatable; we discovered it was perfect for sunning, swimming, body-boarding and snorkeling and never had the need to fight the crowds at other beaches for a better experience. The view from the lanai is outstanding all day long and especially at sunset. It also makes a wonderful spot for grilling out and enjoying cocktails from the comfort of your own private paradise. I should also mention that the management company, Ali'i Resorts, LLC were fantastic! From greeting us at the condo with a grand tour, recommending points-of-interests on the island, and helping us with new propane (we grilled A LOT!), this group made sure we always felt welcome without a worry. Overall, we both can't imagine a better way to spend our honeymoon and look forward to vacationing here in the future. Nearby activities and attractions we enjoyed or appreciated: Grocery Stores: Safeway and Foodland (or Costco for bulk items) Luau: The Grand Luau at Honua'ula (at the Grand Wailea) Food with a view: Sarento's On The Beach (stellar service and to-die-for seafood), The Red Bar (at Gannon's, great happy hour and sunset view) and Honu Beach Seafood and Pizza (in Lahaina) Other: Maui Zen Day Spa, Snorkel Bob's, the drive to Halakala

GREAT place!

We had an opportunity to stay in the condo Nov 12-18 2013. We typically stay in Kihei on our Maui visits but wanted to try something different. This place was great - fully remodeled. Everything is high end. The end of the building unit location is nice for privacy and easy access to beach and tennis courts. We went this time with another couple (no kids :)) but are looking forward to going another time with our kids. The beach below the condo is great for snorkeling. It also provides a nice, safe location for kids to play in the water/surf. Highly recommend it!
