Perfect for a group getaway, this property boasts heating, WiFi, AC, a washing machine, and more. Experience the amazing avenue of the giants, just 5 minute walk to Franklin Grove, the first old growth redwood preserve of many.
You will have fabulous views of the river and be able to walk right down to the Eel river bar as it flows through the property. The water is calm and great for fishing, swimming, boating and just laying about in the spring and summer.

Travelled with a family of 6 to the Redwoods. Fantastic home base to explore the Redwoods. The host's communication is exceptional. The home is clean and well appointed. Access to the river was great and our kids loved it. 20 minutes from Founders Grove and all the Redwoods stuff. We've been to the area a few times and this is by far the best accommodation we know of.

This is an amazing place! The house is so well appointed and the host is amazing! We loved the river and the giant redwoods. We will definitely be back again and again. The house is perfect, beds are so comfy, kitchen has everything you need to cook for a group. Go there, you will not be disappointed!

This customer left his dishes in the sink, his dog poop all over the yard and his dogs chewed the furniture. He did not even register his pets then refused to take any responsibility when i called him on it. Do not rent to this person.

Family Vacation

Perfect place for a family gathering. Clean and inviting home. We had our two dogs with us, the property is pet friendly with fenced pet areas. Full river access. Would stay again.

The property was clean, offered amenities such as house slippers, chairs for the lake, shower products if you need them. The power went out our last night due to a tree falling on a power line and the property owner set us up with firewood and a fire pit!

Beautiful and roomy place. Riverview was great, but low water conditions kept us away. Struggled with the blow up beds, but all was good. Probably operator error with the deflations!

The property was clean and family friendly. It was very near many of the hikes and other amenities we were hoping to experience during our visit to the redwoods. We loved that it was right on the river, which was slow moving and fun to play in. The area was a little sketchy and maybe a little overpriced, but the woods were beautiful, and the interior of the home was nice. I didn't love that you couldn't flush any of the toilet paper. With two families, that adds up. I also didn't love that there wasn't enough seating around the table for all of us or enough beds. The listing mentions several more beds than are actually included. There were air mattresses, but one of them didn't stay inflated. Overall, it was a very positive experience. The location in the redwoods was definitely the selling point. We had a great time, and the hosts were very kind and accommodating.

I wish vrbo had an option for air mattress when creating your listing (murphy bed is the closest option) sorry if that was misleading. Your comfort is my highest priority so I wish you had asked for additional chairs or let me know one of the air mattresses leaked so that i could have told you where additional chairs were and given you a replacement air mattress. You never mentioned any of this in our communications.

Beauty in Phillipsville

The cabin, located at the south end of the avenue of the giants was close to hiking trails, numerous redwood groves, and small towns (Garberville, Redcrest, Scotia, Rio Dell and Ferndale) drive a little further and you can visit Eureka. The view from the home’s back deck was breathtaking. The eel river was in the backyard and easy to access as often as our family wanted. The most charming part of this stay was the owner and his wife, very responsive to guests needs. Very helpful and very friendly!

Great property. A little odd having the hosts live on the property but honestly did not see them much. My only down was not being able to flush toilet paper that was uncomfortable. Great amenities.

Im sorry for the inconvenience, we are on a septic system here and toilet paper can slow the anaerobic digestion process.
