Peter Bonn construyó esta encantadora casa de piedra para su esposa, Caroline Lochte, poco después de su matrimonio en octubre de 1859. señor. Bonn cultivó la tierra hasta 1869, cuando dividió el hogar entre sus dos hijos. Los abuelos de su anfitriona compraron la propiedad en la década de 1930 y continuaron cultivando el campo. We love this bed and breakfast home. It feels like home and the host Leola provides a very good breakfast and extra baked goodies which most B&Bs do not provide. The peace and solitude of the property is so comforting. We love watching the wildlife in the area and having a meal on the back porch.

Meusebach Creek Cabin

It's a great private secluded cabin with beautiful views. This was our second stay there. Sadly, it may be our last as our knees protested every time we had to use the stairs. It's definitely built for those with total mobility. If the downstairs storage room could be converted to an optional second bedroom, we would definitely be back. It could be advertised as a place for 2 couples with 2 bedrooms or 1 bedroom for the older generation.

Thank you, as expected - just like it was over a couple of decades ago. Only one complaint - the mattress maybe at the end of its life cycle, extremely soft and we noticed that it would sink in the middle. Thank you.

Love this GetAway

Tranquility

I stayed here three nights with my husband. We, but especially me, loved the historic farmhouse in the beautiful country. Check in was very easy. Hostess (Leola?) left us delicious pastry treats each day of our stay plus provided eggs, sausage and bread for breakfast. The house was very clean and enjoyed walking the scenic property. Would like to stay here again sometime.

Cute little farmhouse

Nice property and great location. Would be nice if the microwave could handle a bag of popcorn, but this one was ancient and underpowered. Would have been useful to have a good sponge too.

Birthday Getaway Treat

I wanted to gift my son and dil a getaway for her bday weekend. She preferred something outside of the city. They loved the peacefulness, quiet, and charm of the rental. And the daily treats were great! They had a great time on their stay! 😊

Amazing Second Visit

Back again! This 1880's (I believe) farmhouse is on our permanent rotation. Inside, you'll find a stone and stained wood interior. Out back, you've got a patio on a hill that overlooks pastures. No houses for what looks like a half mile or so. Although it's real nice, don't expect modern luxury. The house is quality workman build. IMHO, way better than luxury.

Nice & quiet place.

It is the perfect get-away. Just far enough from the city, but close enough to be able to make the drive drive in to do things. It is such a serene & relaxing place Love the breakfast foods, coffees, baked goods & wine. A few things we wish were different: a newer cleaner sofa & a couple end tables & lamps for reading in the evenings. Thank you.

Fabulous Cabin

We really enjoyed our stay at this fabulous quirky cabin. We loved having a front and back porch to enjoy our meals or just a snack. We were blessed to see several varieties of wildlife. The hostess was so kind to bring fresh treats every day. We loved the road where we could walk and get in some exercise while still on private property. We've stayed at several B&B's in Fredericksburg. This is definitely at the top of the list. We even got used to the steep stairs going to the bedroom. It rained and the rain on the tin roof was wonderful to hear at night.

Perfect Respite from the Crowds

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful home. We came to see the total solar eclipse in April – the location was 10 minutes from Fredericksburg, but off a country road so we avoided all the crowds and just relaxed. Everything was in order and working when we arrived. Our hostess arrived every afternoon with a basket of goodies for the next morning breakfast and the kitchen was stocked with other breakfast staples. We spent our days wandering down to the creek and exploring the property, and birdwatching from both the front and back porches. Key sightings were scissor-tailed and vermillion flycatchers and a juvenile common black hawk. And we were serenaded by northern cardinals and black-crested titmice. Other times we visited nearby wineries and some local parks for hiking. It was everything we were looking for.

A very clean house. Service is very good. Nice and secluded place. The only issue for me was bathroom is downstairs and the bedroom Is upstairs, that's the reason it's not a 5 star. But everything else is great.

Cozy historic cottage

We loved staying in this Hill Country historic cottage. The hosts have preserved its history and created a very cozy space for a great getaway stay. The amenities were great, including fresh baked goodies and ingredients for breakfast. We would definitely stay again!

Enjoyed staying at this historic home. Loved sitting outside in the early morning enjoying our breakfast and coffee. There were a few deer which came by in the mornings. We enjoyed the goodie's especially the baked goods. Thank you!

Excellent stay

We love staying at Meusebach! Remote which gives us a chance to relax and reconnect! Comfortable cabin, love seeing sunset from front porch and moon rising from back porch over the cliff !
