The Sonora House is a restored 1910 bungalow in the historic Armory Park neighborhood, featuring high ceilings and minimal, stylish décor for a calm, inviting retreat. Tucked on a quiet street, it’s a short drive to scenic parks and trails, and walkable to downtown Tucson, 4th Ave, Congress St, the Gem Show (seasonal), the Mercado District, and the city’s best restaurants and bars—making it the perfect place to unwind, enjoy morning hikes, and explore the nightlife.

The Sonora House – Stylish 2-Unit Historic Bungalow Home in Downtown Tucson
Desert Bungalow (downstairs) – Sleeps 6
- 2 cozy bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms
- Spacious living room with L-shaped couch and optional air mattress for 2 extra guests
- Fully equipped kitchen and dining area—perfect for cooking and gathering
- Private laundry room- available upon request
- Secluded backyard with a propane fire pit, seasonal cowboy pool, water fountain, and grill
Western Nook (upstairs) – Sleeps 2
- Private entrance via outdoor staircase
- Day bed with pop-up trundle in living area
- Full kitchen and private bathroom
- Desk workspace and projector for movie nights
- Private balcony with sunset views and a refreshing breeze
Guests have access to the entire property. Laundry room available upon request. Free street parking is also available.

When I’m not hosting, you’ll usually find me outdoors, hiking, biking, or exploring local trails with my wife and our two dogs, Asher (a Great Dane) and Junior (a Maltipoo).

We chose the historic Amory Park neighborhood because it offers the perfect blend of local charm and downtown convenience. You’re just minutes from the heart of Tucson, yet the neighborhood feels peaceful and tucked away. There’s amazing food, historic architecture, and incredible mountain views all around, plus we love how walkable it is. It’s the kind of place that feels like home even if it’s your first time visiting.
