Chasing Altitudes is located in the heart of beautiful Wintergreen in Virginia, which has tons to do for all ages, year-round. We are just a few minutes’ drive to the slopes and all the dining and entertainment at Wintergreen. The Old Appalachian Trail hiking trail is just a few doors down from the house. If you’re willing to venture a bit further, some of the best hiking trails in the state are off the Blue Ridge Parkway (15 minutes from the house), and there are over dozen wineries, breweries, and distilleries within a 30 minute drive. During the summer, enjoy Sherando Lake and Lake Monocan with sandy beach entrances, or take a dip in the heated community pool.

The home layout is as follows:

Main level:
- Deck with great views, comfy seating around the gas firepit, dining for 10, and propane grill
- Living room with wood burning fireplace (firewood provided)
- Dining area with ample space for 10 at the main table, plus another 4 at the adjoining bar
- Fully stocked kitchen with stainless with everything you need to prepare large meals
- BR 1: Master bedroom with king bed, private balcony, and ensuite bathroom with double vanities and tiled shower
- Half bath

Upper level:

- BR 2: Master bedroom with king bed and mountain views. There's a semi-private additional area in this room that can support either a twin bed, or 2 twins pushed together to form a king.
- Ensuite bathroom with soaker tub. *NOTE: no shower in this bathroom... only the tub.

Lower level:

- Additional living room / game room with big screen TV, seating area, pool table, and dart board
- Lower deck features brand new hot tub
- BR 3: Master bedroom with king bed and ensuite bathroom
- BR 4: King bedroom
- BR5: Bunk bedroom with 2 sets of twin-over-twin bunk beds and small children's table
- Hall full bath
- Laundry room

Other things to note:

- Chasing Altitudes is pet friendly! We allow up to 4 pets with a $100 pet fee (total, not per pet or per night).
- We provide our guests $1500 of coverage for accidental damage to the property or its contents. The cost of this is already embedded in the cleaning fee.
- Wintergreen offers hiking, skiing, snowboarding, tubing, swimming, dining, spa, ropes course, golfing, and much more.
- The flat driveway can easily fit 4-5 vehicles. There is an overflow parking lot at Wintergreen if needed.
- Wifi is fast with a strong signal throughout the house and decks.
- We provide a fully stocked coffee bar with multiple coffee drip and Keurig options
- Linens and towels provided
- Guests can enjoy free community pool access in the summer season (though the HOA rules stipulate no more than 6 guests at a time, and the permitted hours are 2-6pm).
- Pack n play, high chair, and kid dishes provided
- We do require a separate rental agreement, which we will send a link to e-sign after you book. There are no additional fees beyond those listed here.
- Please note that if you would like to send packages to the property, you do so at your own risk. USPS is particularly unreliable. We can not be held responsible for late or undelivered packages. Additionally, we charge $25 for any return services requested, in additional to actual postage.
