Hi, we are Deborah and Bill, your host and hostess, and long-time residents of this beautiful corner of Central Florida. We’ve poured heart and soul into creating a peaceful retreat that feels like home the moment you walk in. Whether you’re here for a romantic weekend, a wedding, a golf or fishing tournament, or a family getaway, our goal is to make your stay relaxing, memorable, and effortless.
The space is thoughtfully designed with comfort and convenience in mind—featuring cozy furnishings, modern amenities, and a touch of Florida charm. The one-bedroom, one-bath over-garage apartment includes a loft with two additional beds, an enclosed porch with a single bed/couch, and a hanging swing. The full kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave, dishes, and silverware. The bedroom offers a large closet with sliding doors, ample hanging space, and shelving. Two bathrobes are provided for guest use. The bathroom features a tub and shower, toilet, antique sink base and mirror, towels, and washcloths. Enjoy meals at the bar-height dining table that seats four and relax in the living room with a leather sectional couch, coffee table, and TV. Wi-Fi and Ethernet are also available.
Parking spaces are available on the property, large enough for a boat trailer, with additional short-term on-street parking
The cozy rural location is just a short walk or drive to Little Lake Harris, and Guests have access to a private boat ramp for Howey-in-the-Hills residents and their guests. A public boat ramp is less than three miles away at the Lake County Park. There is on-property parking for up to 4 vehicles or 2 boat trailers, but it cannot accommodate RVs.
We’re located approximately 45 minutes north of Disney World attractions, close to the Yalaha German Bakery, Mission Inn golf course, historic Howey Mansion, and Little Lake Harris with nearby boat ramps. As a local, I’m happy to share insider tips on the best places to eat, explore, and unwind. From scenic lake views to nearby golf courses and nature trails, there’s something here for everyone.
