The Space
• Three bedrooms and two full bathrooms
• Comfortably sleeps 6 guests. Bring air mattresses or camper/trailer to add beds
• Full Bathroom with shower and 2nd full bathroom with tub/shower
• Fully equipped kitchen with gas stove, fridge/freezer, microwave, air fryer, dishwasher, plenty of cookware, coffee maker, french press, and breakfast nook.
• A cozy living room with fireplace and entertainment center
• A bright sunroom and enclosed front porch with lake views

• New furnace and water heater
• Delicious lake breezes and air conditioning or new furnace when needed

• Currently No WIFI ( WIFI takes a vacation too!)

Some House Rules – Whispering Waters Cottage

• To help everyone enjoy a safe, clean, and relaxing stay, we kindly ask that you follow these basic house rules:

• No smoking or vaping anywhere on the property – inside or outside. We love fresh air and so do future guests.

• No candles or open flames inside the cottage – that includes incense, fireworks, sparklers, or anything that burns. Fireplace use is okay.

• No sandy clothes, towels, or gear in the washer or dryer – please shake off sand thoroughly outside before bringing items indoors.

• Do not overload the washer. Ours is an effective but humble machine.

• Clean up spills and messes promptly – especially in the kitchen and on furniture. Accidents happen, but sticky surprises are no fun.

• Wash the cookware by hand in the kitchen, not in the dishwasher.

• Do not put food in the garbage disposal. Put food waste in the trash.

• No parties or loud gatherings – keep it neighborly. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am. Be respectful of our neighbors and all times

• Close and lock doors/windows when you're out – weather changes quickly near the lake.

• Please turn off lights, fans, and electronics when not in use – save energy, save the planet.

• Weather – Keep the deck umbrella lowered and tied tightly when not in use. Weather changes quickly on the lake.

• Take out the trash Wednesday evening – detailed instructions are in the welcome binder.

• Be sure to return the garage door opener(s) to Grandpa's desk in the laundry room.

Pet Policy – Dogs Only (With Prior Approval)

We understand that pets are part of the family, and we're happy to welcome well-behaved dogs under the following conditions. Please review and agree to the rules below to ensure a safe and respectful stay for everyone—human and canine.

• Dogs only (no other pets), with prior approval.
• Maximum of one dog per stay unless discussed and approved in advance.
• Flat pet fee: [$100] per week of stay.
• Dogs are not allowed on any furniture or beds (please bring a dog bed or crate).
• Dogs must not be left unattended inside the cottage unless crated.
• Dogs may not interact with neighbors' pets. Our neighbor has a German Shepherd;
for safety and liability reasons, dogs must remain on your side of the property and
under control at all times.
• The property includes a 6x10 fenced dog kennel ( see photo )

House Rules for Dogs:
•Our floors are soft pine wood and easily scratched. Please keep nails trimmed and paws clean
• Pick up all waste immediately and dispose of it in the outdoor trash bin (bags provided).
• Excessive barking that disturbs neighbors is not permitted. Please manage noise, especially early in the morning and late at night.

An additional cleaning fee or damage fee may apply if:
• Hair, odor, or accidents require deep cleaning.
• Floors or furniture are scratched or stained.
• Dog waste is left on the property.

Failure to follow this pet policy may result in early termination of your stay
without a refund and/or additional charges.

This cottage was simply amazing. Upon arriving there was a gift basket of goodies with a handwritten card welcoming us to the home! It’s a long time family owned cottage, with cute photos and memorabilia throughout. The large sunroom overlooking the lake was beautiful. The property is huge but very private. Inside there is plenty of space for family dining and relaxing. Two of the bedrooms have great views of the lake, while the third was very quiet with corner views of the lawn and trees. The beds were very comfortable and the entire cottage was sparkling clean (this was a 5 star rating from me-I’m very particular!). The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with anything you may need. There are a few steps down to White Lake with a great stretch of sandy beach, paddle boards and kayaks available to use. The location is located close to town for groceries and restaurants, with a “secret” Lake Michigan beach just a couple miles away. Also, there is a two stall garage stocked with a ton of outdoor games. Our host Stuart communicated with us very well. We are already planning to book again for next summer!

Wonderful Lake House

We had a pleasant stay for Electric Forest, the house is beautiful and the host was accommodating. Thankful for a wonderful experience and would definitely book this stay again.
