Desert Oasis in the city

Here's a nice quiet place for a solo or couple. There's a great pool, great place to swim and sun. The host is super responsive and attentive to details. An issue with check in was dealt with very well. Parking and egress is great. The location is near the freeway, near downtown, and quick ways to reach anywhere in the valley. Would stay there again. Great location

The host was great to work with very helpful and informative easy check in and great communication. The pool house was clean yet. There were several items in need of repair and the furnishings leaved a little to be desired. Definitely needs an upgrade. But overall it was a nice place.

Winter Escape

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Hyla’s place. We love the location and serenity. Hyla was very responsive to everything we needed. We hope to return!

Overall not a 5 star

The pool was very dirty our entire stay. We ended up cleaning it ourselves on day 3 so we could actually use it. The bathroom pocket door does not close. The armour drawers fell out of the unit when we opened it. The outdoor furniture and firepit, although in a nice space, are dirty and covered in cat hair. They need a good clean. The place definitely needs some TLC. The pros…owner is friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The location is great and within walking distance to some restaurants. Easy to Uber many places. Overall all the place was not as advertised but was ok. It was clean inside the unit.

Lovely, convenient Phoenix oasis

Beautifully landscaped, very private backyard with lovely pool. Great location. Quiet neighborhood with easy on-street parking. Hyla was a very helpful host, and she has created a beautiful environment for guests to enjoy. We look forward to returning. (And btw, if you like to shoot pool, there's a great table right outside your door!)

Great location

We had a good visit. The street is quiet and location gives great access to the whole city. Unit is cozy, but has everything a couple would need. Parking is easy, host was responsive.

Hoped for better

The home is in a nice area, the entrance to the property was very easy to follow but once inside the home I was a little concerned. The pillows are in pillow cases that do not come off so no way to clean them, the sheets and pillow cases had a lot of stains and I found several small worms in the home. I went to Walmart and bought my own pillows and linens and used them. When I woke up I made a nice cup of coffee to start the day and when I went to use the creamers they left for me I realized they were hard, and spoiled. No coffee. Again no big deal but there is a theme here of cleanliness which is very very important to me. Also, pictures make the place look much bigger. I will say that I was in town to model for a nude drawing class and they did allow me to sunbathe au natural which I appreciated. Would not stay again.

Nice property with a great location.

Very comfortable space in a convenient Phoenix location. Host is very responsive to any questions, and goes out of her way in providing extra snacks and a nice living area. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again or recommend it to a friend.

July 4th weekend 2021

Our stay was amazing. It was very private and relaxing. We had everything we needed and our host Hyla, was very informative with any question we had. I can’t wait to come back. I’ll definitely be staying here again.

The pictures doesn’t serve this property justice!

I had a great time on my me-cation! The host Hayla was a real sweetheart. She gave me my space and privacy. When I asked for advice about places to visit in the area she had tuns of information and great suggestions! Her polite and professional demeanor made me feel really comfortable. I’m definitely staying here again!

Spring Get-Away

We found the guesthouse to be very private and relaxing. The location was great! The pool was an added bonus! It was a lovely place and we hope to return again. Hyla was a great host!

Peaceful oasis near downtown

Our stay was the perfect spring escape to sunshine. Hyla was a wonderful, unobtrusive host who allowed for privacy and relaxation in the pool and her beautiful, plant-filled back yard oasis. The historic neighborhood is walkable and near to restaurants and coffee shops for exploring. I can't think of anything that would have made this a better stay. It was fabulous and just what we hoped for. Thank you Hyla!

2nd Visit

This was the 2nd time I’ve stayed here. It was just as pleasant as the first. I can’t wait to return. The host, Hyla, is gracious and very accommodating. Perfect for 1-2 people. Great location!

Perfect Getaway For Two

Hyla takes care of everything. There were snacks there for us after our long travel day. I was in heaven when I saw all the Keurig coffee selections. Nice shower. Nice bed. Comfy couch. It is exactly what is in the pictures. Hyla made sure the pool heater was on and it was so enjoyable. The fire pit definitely works. We were there for a week. Many eateries within 15-20 minute walk. Safe neighborhood. Felt very comfortable there and was very a lot for the price. Couples/pairs can’t go wrong!

Perfect quick getaway

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hyla's place. The neighborhood was safe and great for walks, the garden house was comfortable and quiet, had all the amenities we would want including a snack basket. The patio is private and the gas firepit was perfect for the cold desert evenings. The pool was exactly as expected and the balance of Hyla checking in on our comfort and providing us privacy in the backyard was perfect. Highly recommend for any single, 2 friends or a couple. *check the nightstand drawer for lots of plug ins. Highly recommend, will visit again :)

Nice place with everything we needed for short stay

The guest house was nice and cozy for my wife and I who were looking to escape the cold of the Midwest for a week. We loved laying by the pool during the day and relaxing at the fire pit at night. The location was nice and centralized and the Roosevelt neighborhood nearby was very cute!

Best hidden jewel in PHX area

My stay here was perfect. Not only is the guest house perfectly sized for 1-2, clean, and stocked with items to make your stay more comfortable, the outside is beautifully covered with tropical plants, palm trees, and a pool. At night, I’d relax at the gas fire pit. As if that isn’t good enough, the icing on the cake was the hostess, Hyla. Hyla was awesome. We will forever be friends. Hopefully, I get to stay here every time I come to PHX.

Perfect Winter Getaway

We loved Hyla’s place! The property was exactly as advertised, and then some. The owner heated the pool for us, so we were able to enjoy the warm water and sunshine every day. We also loved playing pool outside on the covered patio! The location was centralized, and Hyla was quick to respond with any questions. We’d absolutely stay again!
