Home away from home, this lovely, back country studio apt. has everything needed for a comfortable stay close to ocean front, wharf, great walking paths, a full service grocery and a wonderful pub: all within five minutes. Totally marvellous host Cath was super reliable, welcoming and responsive as needed. It was neat as a pin, with a full service laundry so you can travel light! Lovely sunny porch and a friendly cat named Felicity. Some stairs but sturdy, with good support rail. Excellent reception and full service digital tv, many choices.

The Yakoun Lodge was great, small but very comfortable and included a kitchenette, which was great for cooking some of our meals. It’s easy to get groceries in Skidegate, Port Clements and Masset. The location in Port Clements was excellent for travelling up and down Graham Island to Masset, Skidegate, Daajing Giids, and Sandspit areas. Hosts were very nice and checked on us via text message and phone to make sure we had everything we needed. The bathroom included a washer and dryer which was very useful because the 4 nights we stayed on Haida Gwaii Island was part of a longer 3 week tour for us.

The suite was well equipped with necessities and the washer and dryer were great additions. It is a great central location, especially if you were wanting to hike the shipwreck hike.OK Marilyn Unfortunately, the bedroom had no window or exterior door, so we were uncomfortable staying there. There were also no screens on the windows, and we wanted to have them open for the fresh air, but that allowed insects to come into the suite.

The bedroom was intentionally designed to have a cozy cabin feel, and many guests actually appreciate how dark and quiet it is for sleeping, especially during the summer when it stays light outside until late. The layout is shown in our listing photos so guests know what to expect. The large window does have a screen installed. We believe you may be referring to the smaller window, which currently doesn't have one. We appreciate you pointing that out, and we're looking into adding a screen there as well. Check in was easy. The online pictures are accurate. It was a very comfortable place to stay. We liked having our own laundry facility, and a full kitchen. The street was quiet, an easy walk to water and the nearby pub for meals. I'd recommend this to anyone. The hostess, Cath, was very helpful, and even did a trip with us showing us the northern popular spots to visit, and a market that was happening one day. We really enjoyed Port Clements, and this accommodation.

This property is centrally located with many sites within easy driving distance on Haida Gwaii. A nearby wharf is within walking distance, great for an evening stroll. The Loft is quiet, and the kitchenette has enough amenities to cook meals and prepare lunches. Having the washer and dryer is a bonus! The shower is full size. The owner, Cath, is available to answer any questions and is there to help. The loft is suitable for a couple or 2 friends with a separate bedroom and a futon as a second bed. A friend and I stayed for 4 days. We were very pleased with the Loft. Please note, there are stairs to climb up to the Loft, so you must be mobile enough to climb stairs each day. Since we are quite active, this posed no problem for us. I would certainly stay at the Loft if I ever visit Haida Gwaii again!

We had such an amazing time staying here! The loft was clean, cozy, and exactly what we needed. The kitchen lacked for nothing and it was so nice to have our own washer/dryer after especially wet days exploring. Cath was quick to reply to any questions or concerns and gave us some great local suggestions of things happening in town to do. We would absolutely stay here again on a future trip!
